  1. True I have known excellent healers who don't use them. Perhaps I should say needed for us common mortals who are not uber healers And yeah I guess it should be "macros" not "macro's"... somehow looks clearer with the apostrophe tho.
  2. I've been thinking for some time to roll an alt on a more heavily populated server to see if it's any better. Some of the posts in this thread make me think it might be. Is there any reliable place to get info on server pops and, ideally, faction numbers? I'm hoping for something more reliable than looking at the list to see which says "heavy" when I happen to be rolling a toon up
  3. Mouseover macro's are needed imo.. it's a little thing but helps a heck of a lot for healing if that's your thang.
  4. This.. along with powertech pyro and hybrid sorc. Hybrid sorc gets a good nerf. Powertech pyro gets some nerf. Mara doesn't and seemingly may get a slight buff (?). Is it any surprise the masses looking for a class that is OP to give them an edge instead of trying to improve at the class they want to play are now flocking to Mara?
  5. My 2 cents as an arsenal Merc since pre-launch.. Pyro PT is more powerful than arsenal Merc in PvP. Fusion Missile > Explosive Dart > DFA is probably OP as an AOE combo. A slight nerf to DFA might make sense. The gut says TM will take the hit since all the whiners and terribads only cry about TM spam.. if nerfing TM it would be much 'easier' to nerf its dmg output and/or compound stacking than adding a CD. Nerfing dmg output can be compensated in increasing other moves' output (or just a flat out DPS nerf if that is where they feel we are). Adding any CD beyond ~1.5s to TM would require a radical overhaul to how our debuffs and procs work, almost a class redesign, or leave the class completely gutted in PvE & PvP.
  6. Indeed. When you beat Blastcorp (one of many Rare classics), not just the game but gaining gold times on every level all you unlocked was... platinum times! When you eventually beat all those crazy times you unlocked *drumroll* a message that says, "You can stop playing now."
  7. This ^^. At least in my WZ experience on The Progenitor.
  8. This! But then people would need to understand that huttball != WSG. As for all the rubbish about homogenising classes blah blah... how does nerfing the ball carrier take anything away from class mechanics? Maybe because having to use force sprint / pull / leaps to get into position to receive the ball rather than just legging it with the ball or yanking the ball carrier would actually require a modicum of skill, strategy and team-work people don't like the idea?

    Hero class?

All I can say is I've done plenty of PvP since early game and we are seeing a lot more sorcs / sages than 1 or 2 months ago.. heck than even 2-3 weeks ago. A LOT more. I agree with the poster(s) saying Huttball is the real issue. Unfortunately with pop. imbalance Huttball is 70-90% of our WZ's on any given day for my server / faction. Given their CC / utility and sprint / pull possible with ball carrier it makes for a serious nightmare to the other team. They just bring more to the table in Huttball than anyone else.
  10. It's not as bad as BW / sorceress in WAR, and for different reasons, but the comparison is valid only insofar as 1 class clearly outperforms others in PvP. Easy prey for a mara? For one I doubt that, unless they choose not to disengage and for another mara exists to be a nightmare for ranged classes like sorc.

    Hero class?

74 views and nobody disagrees or flames "l2play sorcs suck" etc.. that is telling in itself.

    Hero class?

Since sage / sorcerer ia a hero class in PvP, is this intended? Getting commonplace to see 5 or 6 of them in a WZ (at 50 bracket) and needless to say they usually own the place. Particularly true in Huttball. When the world and his wife is re-rolling / alt-rolling the same class on both factions, when over the half the people in a team are frequently the same class, when you see people discussing WZ match outcomes based on who has the most sorcs / sages... I'm sorry BW but this class is not balanced. Flame away you sorcs & sages, I know there are plenty of you...
  13. I bought the CE. I don't regret buying the CE even though the future of this game seems very uncertain from a personal viewpoint. To address your question.. yes all CE game releases are a complete waste of money and a "rip-off". You should be fully aware of this when you buy it. The point of buying them is not to get value for money, it's to show your love and support for the promise of a title and get cool little extras that you don't mind paying over the odds for. So I paid a ludicrous amount for a statue of Malgus (cool statue btw), a really nice journal book and a CD copy of the soundtrack. Along with some in-game fluff that may or may not be added to over time. I'm cool with that. Years from now that statue, journal and soundtrack will remind me of the joy and pleasure I had in anticipating this game and playing it for the first month or so at the very least. Perhaps I'll still be playing then.. perhaps I won't in a few months from now. Nevertheless I have a nice momento and that is enough for me. It's not like they hid what you were getting or anything..
  14. Okay first of chill out dude, it's just a discussion and just because people don't share your opinion no need for ********. Now then.. we're talking 1-60 and your point only applies to the last 5 levels. I'll give you that there was less freedom to choose your levelling path towards the end of the levelling process. Still, tell me you visited every zone and completed more or less every quest in levelling your first toon in vanilla WoW and I'm afraid I might have to call you a liar. From level 10-50 or so there was a lot of choice and a lot of zones that would, for the vast majority of players, have gone untouched. Now from 50+ it was more linear but you still had some choices and to say you run out of quests is nonsense. Ungoro, Silithus (admittedly low on content in initial vanilla), Blasted Lands, Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, Western & Eastern Plaguelands offered more than enough to get you from ~48-60 without even bringing in the relevant instances. Now of course if you refuse to visit the "other faction's" island... Anywho you are right that there were less options in the later levels and you would no doubt end up repeating some zones at 50+ on your 2nd toon. Still my basic point stands. Sandbox type games actually have been very succesful over the lifespan of MMO's - they didn't begin with WoW you know ^^ Still sandy elements in an MMO are objectively far better than theme park ones and everyone who disagrees with me is wrong. Oh wait... I'm spouting my own tastes and opinions as facts and also forgetting to use **** expletives and tell theme park games to "go to hell". You see what I did there?
