I made a new character so I could redo choices in KOTFE and I finally get here and it's all already marked as finished? What did they change? Because I'm feeling like I just leveled all the way up to this story for absolutely no reason lol o_o

Yeah, I noticed that once I got into SoR the questing setup sort of changed, instead of just having me go to a planet to do like 50 quests or something, it's now a mixture of things with a lot of storytelling, which is cool. I've been to Ilum, did the Hutt planet and am having a blast in the SoR thing. I even went back and did some Revan questline I didn't know existed and sort of happened upon by chance lol

So, here's the quick rundown: I came back to the game last week, my last time playing was in the month of its release. I'm really happy with all of the changes that have been made and the stuff that's been added, but I've been reading a lot that there are things I want to do before starting KotFE and I'm having a hard time finding a clear answer to my questions... So far I've finished my class story, I did the 1st expac and I'm working my way through SoR, just arrived on Yavin-4 actually, after doing some flashpoints that I had sitting in my quest log. I'm seeing different lists through Google that mention things like Black Hole, Oricon, Hutt Hospitality, a whole Dreadmaster storyline, but in working my way through the content that the game and my ship have given to me automatically, I haven't seen any of the previously mentioned quests. I saw someone in general chat saying that you really, really want to do all of this stuff before starting KotFE and I like to be a bit of a completionist, like in Mass Effect I'd go around and do every single side quest and collect every single resource before I embark on the totally awesome ending mission. For reference, I'm a level 65 Sith Madness Sorcerer. I smacked right into level 65 well before I even began SoR lol On the otherhand, if just following whatever's given to me automatically is sufficient, then that also answers my question and will put me at a bit more ease, because I really don't want to go into KofFE with missed storylines.

Let's stop modeling games after themepark MMOs and start looking at the future of MMOs. Do you know why I never login to WoW anymore? Because there is no point to their endgame. Do you know why I login to EVE? Because there is no endgame and no levelcap. But I guess not everyone can appreciate a sandbox.

So, funny story. I pre-ordered the game when it released, played a little and got side-tracked with happenings in EVE Online. If you play that game, I moved to nullsec with a less than organized alliance and ended up having to evacuate. Fun times. But I'm back here now, thanks to my younger brother, and I'm curious about this Mako character. I just got her as a companion on the newbie "island" area and I'm trying to figure out what's best to say in order to gain points with her. At first, I noticed I gained points when I mentioned wanting to get paid for whatever task it is I am being presented with (I'm a bounty hunter). But then, someone offered me a quest outside of Fa'Athra's Palace and I got a -1 with her. I'm confused. I have a wiki which tells me which gifts to give to her, but I played DA:O/Mass Effect, so I'm assuming I'll have better chances if I act correctly. Or does it even really matter?

I keep seeing talk about GW. The Guild Wars franchise is the most boring, steaming pile of crap I have ever laid eyes on.
