  1. I would have rolled on empire to make an Inquisitor personally. I like my sage, but I'm finding it really hard to LOVE my sage when looking like a complete idiot in pretty much any armor that we have. At 50 we have a choice of Trashbag(pvp set) or Banana(pve set). Animation issues aside lightning is far cooler than pebbles on any day. WTB project storm to replace telekinetic throw.
  2. If Bioware can get this to work without breaking anything I don't see any way how it wouldn't be awesome on many levels. You have my vote!
  3. You will find that heroic quests get much much harder as you level up. Soon enough [Heroic 2+] means "GOOD LUCK buddy" if you don't bring 3+ people with a healer required. That isn't even the [Heroic 4] quests, where you NEED to have a tank and healer due to there being at least one champion involved and groups of 5+ with elites/strongs/normals.
  4. If you happen to have a Sage in your group you can have them use rescue(basically lifegrip and pulls a party member to the caster) on the player that was stunned and they will survive. You have to be careful when doing this though because if someone else is in range HK will simply target them instead. With this strat I use rescue for the first vanish and on the 2nd I simply battle rez.
  5. This seems like more of a "you need a better computer" issue than something being fundamentally wrong with the game. Personally, I have yet to experience a loading screen longer than 10 seconds (only tat/hoth/alderaan approach this). O_o
  6. I don't always use my MVP votes, but when I do... I vote for healers.
  7. You seriously need to take off that tinfoil hat OP. This is the internet, people complain about things just for the sake of complaining. (This will never change!) Also, The Swiftsure says hi to your never over 30 minute queues. We had 7 hour queues not too long ago and while things have gotten leaps and bounds better we still can sometimes get up to about 2 hours. With that said, I love the **** out of game and intend to play it for quite awhile!
  8. Figured I should bump this thread with this taken from the latest PTR patch notes! "-Fixed a bug that caused some abilities with activation times to be interrupted when used from cover." Hurrah!
  9. I used Risha until I picked up Guss and have never changed since then. Some melee elites might need some extra love and when that happens I pull out Corso to tank for me.(until you get guss, who works for everything and I want to bromance him)
  10. I just hit level 50 the other day as a gunslinger and I can say without a doubt that we are extremely deadly in pvp when used well. I don't claim to be very good, or even an expert when it comes to pvp but I do manage to go about 30-1 in warzones every so once and awhile with the exception of huttball. Positioning is EVERYTHING for us, you have a 35 yard range and I hope that you make good use of it. Every situation requires something different, so you will get the hang of where you need to be with more experience. We also have quite possibly the most oh **** buttons in the game: Dirty Kick Flash Grenade Escape Leg Shot Pulse Detonator Dodge Defense Screen Scrambling Field Hunker Down All of these should be on binds which you can access on a moments notice as needed. The damage we are capable of is also just disgusting, I have smoked a level 50 marauder in 1v1 within 5-10 seconds on several occasions. The only thing that I feel like I have absolutely no chance against is operatives, everything else I can either take or hold off until support arrives. In short, bind all of those escape skills we have access to, learn to position yourself well, and have an escape route if needed. EDIT: changed wording slightly to sound like less of a jerk >_<
  11. I'd like to say this is true for mobs in general, it happens just as much in the world as it does in flashpoints. >_<
  12. From what it seems the shared flashpoints between Empire/Republic are more conventional dungeons like in WoW. Doing this makes it easier to have both sides go through the same content, which is fine in my book. This makes the flashpoints that ARE faction specific all that much more awesome as they can devote larger amounts of time to them. Correct me if I am wrong here, but it seems like all the flashpoints on the main Stations (except BT and Esseles) are shared and lack player interaction. But, all the flashpoints on each of the ships in the respective fleets are very story driven.
  13. There is a set of PvP gear at level 40 which SCREAMS han solo that you should enjoy. It is pretty much exactly what he wore with some gloves added. What makes me angry is that most of the pieces of our 40 pvp set we get as orange gear(different colored) throughout our leveling progression. While on the other hand, every other class gets some unique and cool armor models for their 40 pvp gear. Then again, we get super awesome dusters and cowboy hats at level 50 and nobody else does. A trade-off I suppose?
  14. I love Bowdaar but recently switched to Risha, everything dies so quickly I don't need to worry about much. I am easily able to use her to clear out whatever is needed for a quest unless there is a melee elite mob, then I'll bring out the Wookie. Plus she really grew on me as a character after the first Act/Chapter(whatever you call it). FYI you can go to Balmora to get a wide choice of companion customization items, I just had to get rid of that haircut she had.
  15. You can get one at level 50 from a PvP vendor at the Republic Fleet. It is a orange item too, so you can customize it however you want for raids/pvp/whatever! I also think that you can get one crafted by an armormech, other then that I have not seen one up to level 35.
