  1. I am actually fine with these costs, because these were the costs at the launch of Galactic Strongholds way back when. At that time, you could buy cartel packs for 90k credits on the GTN. So the economy was quite comparable to what it is on SV right now (excepting the playerbase).
  2. They did block an arbitrary selection of religious names sometime between 6.0 and 7.3. I have 'Mary Sue' on Star Forge (naturally a Sentinel), but the word 'Mary' has since been blocked by the filter (errors out as 'Invalid name'). About half of the Greek Pantheon was blacklisted, but not the other half. Seems very, very arbitrary to me. As for Styrak  —  Many of the SWTOR-specific names don't get blacklisted. I know for a fact that there are a lot of companion cosplayers on SV, including 'Anri', 'Nadia Grell', 'Corso Riggs' etc. So it is a valid assumption of the OP to think that this was taken manually by someone reserving names. For the record, this is not one of mine. I was more focused on getting my usual permutations of Nik, Niq, Nick, etc.
  3. Do you still have the pub ship @Cayerala? If you do, PM here or on Discord: 1e100
  4. I'm on Australia - East Coast. Ping to Shae Vizla is a glorious 14-18ms! I haven't seen that since Dar'nala and Gav Daragon servers were a thing. Normal ping to the US servers is typically 240-340; ping to EU servers tends to be 180-220. Played all the content - GSF, Arena, FP - no issues so far. Can we keep this?
  5. The CommunityTeam is back from Christmas Break. Seeing 3 comments in the dev tracker - one about missing cartel coins, two about achievement progression on the PTS. Wonder how long before we get a follow up here?
  6. I'm bummed we only have two combat styles. Half the point of this whole new combat styles system is that any tech character can use any tech-based advanced class etc. As it stands, all of my non-stealth characters are getting either Operative or Shadow as their second combat style and there goes all the variety. Honestly, give us 8 combat style slots so that we can play any tech/force class we wish. I disagree with one of the people above me who says tech-base characters should have access to Force-based advanced classes, that would just take too much work to work in cutscenes and I would rather developers focus on something else, like fixing the Alder Lake intel bug. Speaking of which, I cannot provide any cutscene feedback because I am relegated to an integrated GPU on my backup laptop and can only play the game at 15 FPS on potato quality. Can't really test cutscenes effectively until the game starts working on 12th-gen Intel again. Lastly, what's with the Outfitter? I'm unable to apply weapons for some reason.
  7. I would not be building a new PC specifically for SWTOR. SWTOR is perfectly capable of running on a pre-built Dell box from 2013. SWTOR is not optimized for multithreaded use so getting a beefier CPU with more cores is not going to increase performance for you. The issue is, currently, for players who have upgraded our towers already and can't load in. If I had to guess they might try fixing this after 7.0 Launch. They are not going to do anything over Christmas Break. And after Christmas, they will be working on releasing 7.0. Doubt they would be willing to delay expac launch, because players are going to be grouchy as we have already had one delay. So expect a fix by April? If ever.... In the mean time, ESO is pretty fun, has an expansion every year and dungeon releases every 3 months, and there's a double XP event going if you want to get started. Best of all - it is actually optimized for multithreaded use and supports 12th gen CPUs.
  8. Another Alder Lake represent. Can confirm the issue: launcher not launching. No other system/software changes save the CPU / mobo upgrade. If the issue is with Steam, running the launcher directly won't help, because the launcher (if installed through Steam) will load Steam DLLs. See also previous posts in this thread: people have already tried downloading the standalone launcher. I can confirm that the standalone launcher does not work, and the issue is not with Steam itself. --- This is an issue affecting many games, particularly games running Denuvo DRM. As far as I am aware, SWTOR does not use Denuvo, but there may be similar DRM or anticheat systems in the background. Intel's solution has been to suggest disabling efficiency cores in the BIOS using a "Legacy Game Compatibility Mode" setting. It is not guaranteed to work for all games. I haven't tested this for SWTOR, and do not intend to, because the whole point of a 12th-gen Intel CPU is to use the efficiency cores. This is a fix on the developers.
  9. I've been online to test. So far I am really happy with the hook count and the interior hook placement. Hooks cover the entirety of the floor in most of the rooms and the main hall of the palace, which is sorely lacking in other strongholds (coughManaan cough). The corridors don't have many floor hooks but I don't think that's a problem. My suggestions for the stronghold are: Add a way to "reset" the mountain that blocks access to the Killik cave after you have unlocked that area. The cinematic is awesome, and there is great potential for RP (invading army blows up the mountain and you have to fight them off, etc). Interactive environments are great and that's maybe the next-best thing to a player-toggleable day-night cycle. Add more spawn points - currently I have found the default one in the middle of the field, one at the bottom of the palace stairs I think and one at the top of the roof elevator. I think there should be at least one more near the throne room and one near the two "bedrooms" on the roof for ease of access Yes, please add a balcony or concourse of some sort to overlook the main hall of the Palace More outside hooks would be nice Add some contrast to hooks on the roof, as some are very hard to see on the snow Will there be any Rishi-style PVP toggle? Off-topic: Heroic Mission Terminals have been in the in-game deco viewer since Strongholds launched. Will these ever make it into the game?
  10. Update 5 October: Got the Bionic Raider set. Just after the Outlaw's boots (or the full set). Will transfer to any server to get them off you.
  11. Currently, you can filter decorations for "All", "unlocked" and "available". I would like for a "locked" filter, to see which decorations I still need and not have to page through 481 pages. I would also like a search box for character and legacy titles, I have almost all legacy titles on my account and my main characters have quite a few character titles as well. It would be much more convenient to search instead of constantly losing your place. The Companions and Contacts Window could use a Search function or favourites list. In the crafting window, companions are sorted by influence, however I have a specific set of Rank 50 companions I use in different situations (ranged healer, ranged dps, melee healer, melee dps, tank, favourite class companion, and meme companions). I don't think the crafting window needs to show all companions you have. I have all but one companion on my main (because I killed one of the Alliance Alert ones). and that window takes a few seconds to come up. The schematics window for crafting could also do with a favourite list or search box. And since we're getting a LOOT of tacticals and set bonuses in 6.0, an inventory / cargo search would be great, that would highlight the items which currently match the search string (but wouldn't rearrange the items, please not that)
  12. Just make requisition as a currency legacy-wide I think.
  13. Agreed. Mute companion option would be good in somce cases.
  14. Will GSF be dropping gear, either in Weekly/Daily quests, or through matches? Technically speaking, normal gear is not required to partiicpate in GSF, so it doesn't really make sense for GSF to drop gear, however in 5.x GSF was a large source of CXP (and hence, gear).
  15. I recently bought one for 5mil. Need to update the post.
