  1. Honest opinion; I genuinely believe ditching the WOW style of this game, and standardising a lot of systems would benefit this game a lot more. Tab target MMO’s have not had the specific jolt they needed to compete with WoW for almost two decades now and you find that other games, such as Destiny and ESO, are able to take a lot of those players away by having a more simplified combat system. Being more accessible has done wondered for a great many games throughout many different genres. Look at Mass Effect 1 vs 2 — Players complained that a simple gear and combat system would kill the game. It didn’t — The very opposite intact. If this game focused less on the MMO side, and more on creating expansions to story/small group content then I really do believe it’d succeed. I very whole heartedly believe this as my opinion, and would not concern it as fact, but if this game just did an chapter of your class story every three months, with one OP a year and a flash point connected. I’d be happy. I’d keep subscribed for that. I’m not a PvP’er so I cannot comment on the state of that.
  2. At least we have a patch with something not cartel market - count your blessings when you get them things could be much worse
  3. In the boss fight, his health doesn't reach the bottom. Jedi have done weirder things than avoid death, it is possible he's alive
  4. I respect Bioware can't answer everyone, I remain optimistic that they are listening at least. Watch this video - It offers a retrospective on the start of wow pretty much, I think if you watch it you may understand SWTOR's current position a bit more. This game has potential, and the F2P model is bringing in players. What Bioware need to figure out is how to convert F2P to subscribers. If there is one thing that EA are good at, it is making money - They'll find a way. I think we have good things in store for the future EDIT: The video does praise WOW alot and is very subjective, but it does show that wow start wasn't any different to any other MMO. Blizzard just handled it better.
  5. In all honesty, I would pay for just class story content. No war zones, no flash points. Just the ability to continue the story. But considering its a MMO, I would expect the PvE and PvP content to be part of that package. /signed
  6. Any chance of Cartel Coin card heading to GAME, or something similar? Just wondering if there is any information on that :L
  7. It'd be better business! F2P players realise they can earn cc points as a subscriber to get better stuff quicker! They'd switch to subscriber , which increased Bioware profits by £8 each time, and they'd be able to get cool cartel market gear and have all heft restrictions lifted. Subscribers don't feel punished because now they can earn the gear as they did before, Bioware is able to transfer F2P players to subscribers. It's a win, win in my eyes.
  8. Possibly not. One of the scriptwriters did say, before he left, that he had already written new class stories. I have no idea what Bioware are doing with them though.
  9. While I agree that as a subscriber, I pay for all the content in the game and not to have the ability to buy more. What can we do? EA are renound for not listening to their fanbase. Recent news has indicated that EA wants to change their image, and I hope this is true. I have spent the last week or so, seeing this thread 'type' pop up again and again and Bioware never respond to it, because it usually ends up not being constructive critism. I remain on this game because I love the lore, and I really want it to succeed. I emplore Bioware to listen to me, not because I will remove my subscription if they do, but because I love this game and want it to do well.
  10. I heavily suspect that EA will put a lot more attention into SWTOR, now they have daddy disney on their backs.
  11. I'm sincerely hoping, that more class story content is released. It's a far more interesting, and personal attachment to the game. I'd much more prefer a extension of those stories, Than the faction
  12. That can't be just it? This game has so much potential, and such engrossing stories. It would be a complete shame to just throw all effort into the Cartel Market.
  13. You need not worry, this post isn't about the whole issue of the recent patch. I began playing when the game was first released, and while I haven't been the most experienced of subscribers, I remember that Bioware promised ''new class story content, New raids, etc...'' With the recent change to F2P, and the obvious focus Bioware would have to place into the new system (which is completely understandable from my point of view) I wonder what would happen now? What course is this game heading towards? Do we get new class stories? Or has the introduction of F2P/Cartel Market changed how the game's content is now focused? Just a curiosity post, in all honesty.
  14. Playing from lvl 1-20 in WoW to me! Was a boring grind. It wasn't interesting. The Old republic has kept my attention all the way, made every quest have a purpose and some reason for me to actually do the quest. I'm currently lvl 29 and everything the game has done so far i've enjoyed, and i'm seriously looking forward to the end game, Because I enjoy the gameplay, I enjoy the story and I enjoy the Instances. To me, A great game Worth my money, Worth my time. Well done Bioware
