  1. Been there with 5 chars, no problem! Just gear up and it will be a breeze!
  2. I belive the devs has the very best of intend, but are completely incompetent and makes good intend into baffeling bad decitions. EA never cared about high quality and ensureing quality in patches, nor the most importaint thing for MMO, the build up of community, EA never cared much about building community. With no competent workers you can't make a MMO. Anyone can make a mud hut, but it takes incredible skill to create a cathedral.
  3. In reality it's hard to group up on many dead servers. Accept reality don't push it away.
  4. Been with a guildie who took about 5-7 min per zone, it killed the flow of the dailies.
  5. Strange, EA should have ample experience with such kind of people, now they have plenty of MMO experience.
  6. Too many looks too short when talking about problems of ToR. Been in big buisness mysef, it's usually those who call the shots, like EA. It's EA breathing down BW's neck, setting the budgets for various services, hireing incompetent design leaders, not allowing BW to get experience with quality patching, thus stooping to mere short sighted money mongering. If you don't have the highly skilled and competent people, you can't make a grand MMO. Sure BW has made highly acclaimed games, but never any overzealous patching like Blizzard, and less anny experience in building communities.
  7. Darth_Victus it seems that you define everybody out of your 1 example of your friend. I would say it's very unreasonable as Ive seen nothing but valid reasons why the shortcomings of the game has caused people to unsub, never seen anybody unsub just because other has unsubbed, or mindlessly repeated what other has said. What really hurts ToR is the wrong priorities of BW. - no macros - Ops had same gear on nightmare as hard mod at release, only changed too late. - LFG tool comes too late - custom UI comes too late - server merges comes too late - free transfer comes too late - overzealous nerfig of Sorcs, forcig people to reroll. - disasterous bad GTN interface - ..etc etc.. BW always knew how to tell a good story, never knew how to make good game mechanics.
  8. He's just a customer expressing his views, which is his good right, please don't question his right to do so.
  9. $200 million http://tor.zam.com/story.html?story=28811
  10. It's ridiclious to blame the community for the devs poor decitions, just because the community demands more servers, doesn't automaticly makes the community at fault that the devs can't merge servers in proper time. Devs are the only to blame!
  11. I too got 6 months which was a huge mistake. I knew it was EA who was publisher and BW always knew how to tell a good story but severly lacked deep knowledge of how to make good game mechanics, less how to get a huge community like Battle.net going on, because of EA breathing down their necks not relasing sufficient patches for any of their games. ME2 is an excellent example of how disasterous game mechanics are, specially the unskipable long intro. The undoing was i the cards even before the beta, and only more clear whe beta went public, sure fanbois refuses to see reality, but create their own idyllic vision of the grim dire reality. ToR will go F2P thanks to EA the MMO train-wrecker.
  12. I don't think he's trolling, just totally misunderstood the purpose of PTS and it's shortcomings.
  13. That may be, but there probaly won't be sufficient subs to make the turnaround.
  14. BW always knew how to tell a good story, but abyssmal game mechanics. ME 2; 9 min long intro was a tragic evidence of that. Never even released a patch to fix it. Blizzard always observed quality to hysterica lvls, but BW doesn't care about it since EA breath down their necks and pushes for profit, leaving out the quality. BW has no experience how to make a quality experience for the customer thanks to EA, thus they fail at MMO when the story is over, then there are nothing to keep the demanding customers to the game. Thanks EA for ruining ToR.
  15. You speak as if your words are the ultimate truth, yet so many defies your subjective oppinion in this thread. I'm afraid that you see things exclusively from your own point of view, instead of what the majority really thinks. I don't see that your oppinion is more right than others, when infact it's seems to be more wrong than right and doesn't really take account for the dire reality of how ToR are, and it's dire future. Unfortunaly moderators usually won't punish those who talk in favor of their product, no matter how little sense it makes or how annoying it is.
