Well that's easy how about rated warzones awarding gear based on performance and/or actually tethering valor points to getting gear instead of just having it be a requirement to wear it? Or if that's too specific just look at any other mmo's system for awarding pvp gear and use that because random lottery bags is the worst.

Rewarding people based on time spent and not for any form of skill is so dumb. I can't believe this system is staying. It is probably the worst way to do gearing for pvp I can think of. I understand it from a 'marketing' perspective but as far as game design goes this is bad. I guess everyone just thinks logging in and doing the weekly and daily is the pinnacle of pvp game design. Really anything but random lottery bags. Its fairly impossible to argue that a competitive pvp environment can arise from a reward system based almost entirely on random lottery and time spent.

No the bag system is just terrible for everyone. Random lottery for gear. Seriously how did that make it past the idea phase? There is no excuse for such a system.

I think its a little early to declare victory. Good start though. There are still issues.

Valor needs to be divided by amount of players involved. Its really amazing that its not like that already. Ilum will always be a stupid zerg fest just to get the daily and weekly done and not a meaningful open world pvp experience if we don't get these things fixed.

No rollback is unacceptable. I suspect that it isn't coming because they simply can't do a rollback from a technical standpoint. That's the only reason I can think of that they would not do it. This has really shaken my faith in the future of this game.

I have to admit it is pretty depressing. Life of a gamer seems to be waiting for the next blizzard game... Too bad their next mmo is probably an mmofps.

If bioware insists on making god awful looking pvp gear this is gonna need to be an option lol.

I hope we hear about this more next week. I know its the holidays and everyone needs to get the time off. I just want to know that improvements are in the pipe. I can wait on it. I just want to know its coming.

If you care about this game and this issue please don't let this thread (and continuations of this thread) drop off the first page until its fixed!

I really love this game but this issue is paramount for its survival. Please devote whatever resources are necessary to fix this asap. I don't care about broken quests, lag, or extra content. This is the number one issue for swtor and if its fixed I can take whatever flaws exist with ease in the mean time. Please bioware don't let this be another warhammer online!
