  1. LOL... Enjoy Star warshammer online while it lasts... When the fourms go quiet it will be because their are only 2 servers left, Just like Bioware-Mythics game. I wish they hadnt deleted the old fourm. I quote you the thousands of identical posts from the days of the Warhammer fanbois. The only thing that will make a game fail faster than EA's involvment is you telling people to leave.
  2. Wait! is it a laptop? Cant buy a new anything for a laptop.
  3. when a statement and reality don't match up, its normally because the statement is incomplete and somewhat false. Ever see a company lower its graphics in a game because people with below recommended specs had issues? Nope... This only makes sense if the high res texture options were somehow effecting everyone. I guess that could involve massive sub cancilations from under powered users, but who knows.
  4. Is there a make or model on the comp? Like with dell its a lattitude 8700... is it a lenovo something somenumber? Still moot as you dont have any reall room to upgrade. it wont take a higher core CPU, or newer ram. Throwing money down a drain really.
  5. Never mind. its a LGA 775 (english... the "plug" for your cpu is an out of date type. New ones dont fit in it. so your stuck with a dual core, and slow ram.) Save your cash. Get parts for Christmas and birthdays. I got my Main Board from my girl for a B-day gift.
  6. If i knew the exact mother bord info i could say for sure. you could use http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html. tell me the mainbord info.
  7. Live in VA? i would trade car work for comp service any day of the week. LOL. i bet i have half the parts for a nice system in my closet.
  8. The answer to all your questions is the same... You dont have the tech knowhow to make the upgrade. You need to find a trusted nerd friend and get their help. Im sure you will need most of the system replaced. but if you do it yourself you can easaly build a nice system for way under the walmart price. The game runs fine on my system (Texture rez and the fact that skyrim runs better aside) I droped $200 for a nice i52500 CPU. but the Mother bord was $130 ish, $75 for ram. Running my trusty 9800 gtx without any real issue. use your old HD and case. Get a good Powersupply. You could be eating SWTORs lunch with a nice new gamming rig for under $600
  9. you and i agree... but lay off the kid. He dosent need our pitty party. he needs some tech support.
  10. the videocard is getting a little old. but Are you sure its not network lag?
  11. This thread brings me back to the same talk 1 month into Warhammer... Mythics trymph... 2 months before the first wave of lay-offs. You all don't understand how EA makes money. You somehow think that your silly $15 a month is a sum that they have any concern over. EA makes money from investors. They invest if games show growth. and bail when it doesnt. The calls for server merges have already begun on this forum... and if this game doesn't add 10% more users every month, it and bio-ware are in trouble. Bioware knows exactly what happens next... They were the ones who had to take over Warhammer, and take in the 13 people left at mythic. Think what you will. this game will become the number 2 MMO or EA will make this game a Walmart bin special, turf the entire dev team and relabel the company as Eversoft-Bioware-Mythic. Leaving you all to rot with no hope of fixes. until the servers are empty enough that no one tells the news when the failure shuts off completely.
  12. I agree. In the SS i posted you can see they are still muddy... my card can try to fix it but its not magical... it cant reconstruct a messy texture. Just shine it up a bit

  14. They said it wasnt rendering textures... Want to see the code in the file? Ive posted it a few times now... What it is doing is rating your comp and Forcing min quality no matter the settings
  15. Min specks control a lot more than shiny and defined textures... Have a good look at the top of my head and my belt... http://imgur.com/zn1Ig forcing them isnt causing them to work correctly at all. same blury mud... now with some bling. PS this also is location dependant for some twisted reason.
