  1. Problem is the slippery slope. The same server LFG most people actually have absolutley no problem with. But it is the Automated things that usually comes with it . You know things like Auto invites ,auto teleportation to all off the dungeons. And then ofcourse X-server but that isnt really LFD
  2. Actually i have no gripe what so ever having people being able to kick other people from a group But the more people and more anonomity as X-server brings the more aswell there must be another safety layer based on this . Take WoW for example and the problem they have had with just that They had group kick vote it got misused they switched it kick cooldowns and only one kick max on a run and still it just switched roles so single players that took advantage of it Same server LFG do not bring that to the table thanks easier ignoring people and you can still have so the majority /leader can kick without any cooldowns would be required or anything . If you get mistreated ignore the people/person make youre small guild ignore that person aswell for the hell of it. But then X-server LFg that isnnt possible
  3. Nothe way that x-server is done is my main gripe. Basicly you cant make protection for the single player in the LFG without giving him a very powerful tool to be an idiot in that same group But at the same time you cant give the rest of the group that powerful tool to kick a player aswell without that becomes aswell a powerful tool that will become misused. Same server LFG tool you will have alot more safety checkson just that easier having some idiots in a small pool when fishing so you cant get those up and remove those from that small pool . Then having a larger pool where basicly those idiots you fished up just basicly goes back into the same pool again (cant ignore all which basicly just leads to people taking advantage again over that)
  4. The easier it is for people to join groups as X-server provides. The more it will be demanded by the other players in that group that the ones that are joining are not complete tools and actually know how to play the game. Meaning and if they are not up to the rest of the players in the group standards there must eksist the means to remove those players from the group (Basicly kick functions). But then how can you prevent people taking advantages of just that having 3 people from the same guild forcing people to accept ludicrous terms? Answer to that is it is impossible ! So then there must be so that every single player that joins a group must be protected? Answer : Wrong asicly because you can't create a good enough protection for those players, without making it easy for one player to harass the 3 other player on the group by knowing he cant get kicked so he can be a tool. That is basicly one of my main gripes with a X-server LFG way too easy taking advantage of it which leads to basicly some players use the path of less resistance to get rewarded by doing nothing while screwing the other players. Same server Lfg do offer way more protection and doesnt have the same weaknesses as X-server have thanks to easier ignore functions avaible and more controlled and smaller group of players meaning that idiocy will not be rewarded by anonymity on the server

  6. Sound more like a panix fix casue most people are clearing /outgearing the game way to fast. But the thing that this will lead too is what will happen when the next real big raid is released. How should that be tuned towards having that gear or not having that gear
  7. Actually i would say the question is abit wrong basicly the more correct question is How many hours of playtime is Swtor designed for and then for PvP or PvE Basicly how many hours do it takes for you to get BIS (outside raids) for youre character? Then after that it is just youre amount you want to spend a week that will get you there slower or faster And then you have proffesion and raids and legacy you can invest time into or PvP/PvE depending what you like. But as that stands now i would say not alot of hours each week is needed very very easy getting gear just if you get a group for it
  8. Stopped playing just hanging out on the forums until my sub runs out But basicly i did actually enjoy this game, but they lost me when they just started out turning it into WoW 2.0 Wotlk mold instead, it just basicly quenched my lust to play. I do understand alot of people do like those changes but when some dev interview started saying that X-server LFG was "worked" on and dual specc would come and that togheter with alot more i deceided i rather left the game early then play a few month and then get disapointed. Very easy to see that Swtor is going the WoW Wotlk style with all what that means for some that is great and for others like me that is just our cup
  9. I think this explains the problem pretty well basicly players these days want to get rewarded for everything they do even if it is just for logging in and pressing a button badges pvp points comes from trying to cater those players. Sadly i dont like these kind of systems in my opinion it just creates the worst kind of grind possible. The kill xx amount of bosses and you will have the best gear able doing everything that the game have to offer <normal modes> what is left after that is just do the same things again but a tad harder. As a casual i actually would take a no badge progression system any day then being forcefeed easy content just so i can see everything straight away
  10. hard to say what you mean by themepark is it that you have the must do progression and limited other freedom linear path personally i do like that when playing. But then what i dont like with that is aswell that everything just gets handed to you these days basicly to the point that by just logging in gives you x amount of badges that after 1-3 months will have gotten you the adequate gear to be able to see almost every content this game have to offer.
  11. Combat log = how much dps you did Recount = how much Dps you did aswell as how badly you did screw up while doing that DPS.
  12. Basicly i found out while doing them that the average joe thinks that Lvling or even inviting other players is work and should be shunned
  13. Nope but every code for the public have had a "trial and error" Or what design are you talking about that havent had that? I am more an ERP CRm marceting dude but that was just ridicilous what he stated
  14. So still you say that all programming is done from the start and there is no trial and error ? I can say if 68 <goto 63> c64 but according to9 you nothing has changed ? c towards c++ towards java it havent done anything
