  1. Yea, going to agree with the majority here, it would be nice to see it as an optional thing... I'm finally getting around to doing a companion quest on NS, and to see that I'm back at 7.5k health (down leveled from 60 to 26) and my companion is still at 12k health is a little irritating. I enjoyed being able to do Black Hole weekly on my own, but now I can kiss good buy to the H4 quest for that weekly...
  2. After making a dark Jaesa, I would say don't do it! She is really over the top cartoony evil... a waist of an interesting path for Bio Ware to take with her character...
  3. My Trooper: The Force is some mumbo jumbo that an antiquated order uses to justify why they do what they do. As for the Sith and Jedi... well they are the same thing as far as he is concerned. My Agent: The Force is what fuel the Sith, yet the if the Sith could get their collective heads out of their arses, and let the Imperial Military do what they need to do, they could be winning the war, rather than fighting pointless internal power struggles. My Warrior: The Force gives him power, he could care less about other Sith, he servers the Emperor, and only the Emperor.... though he does think he might have been better off not corrupting Jaesa, she is starting to be come more trouble then she is worth.
  4. I currently use a pair of these http://tor-fashion.com/interstellar-regulators-blaster-cresh/ Though I might change them out for the Dorn version later....
  5. So a couple of stories today from me: While on my 41 Vanguard (Shield Spec) in KDY, I was grouped up with a couple of commando DPS (28 and 50), and a Guardian (15), I've really got to hand it to the Commando's they did a great job jumping from DPS to Heals and back again, but the guardian.... wow, I thought it was almost cute how they thought to use Guard on me all the time, I'd remove it, they'd cast it on me again... no matter I still kept the act as the agro whore. My issue with the guardian, is they never let anyone recover from the fights, so all three of us troopers were going into fights at 50% or less resources, so glad I've got a bunch of skills that I can use for free in my spec... but even when we asked them to slow down, we got no response from them, nothing! What is KDY teaching people about group etiquette? The next one comes from my 35 Merc Arsenal spec, I will never understand why some people que for roles they will not run... The last run I did on boarding party, was an all Bounty Hunter run, it would've been great, if the 'healer' and the other 'DPS' had actually qued for the roles that they wanted to play... what we had for that run, was two tanks and two DPS, till I took my 25 points spent in arsenal, and proceeded to heal the group, while the 'healer' only wanted DPS.... Now I managed to pull it off, but only just, makes me think about re-specing as a healer.... so again I wonder what KDY is teaching people... Now don't get me wrong I think KDY is a great idea, just a bit on the poor execution this tactical flashpoint system is, if you ask me, is not teaching people what they need to know, if you go outside of KDY.
  6. I'll preface this with, I'm a good person, really. That being said, I'm Imperial through and through, the Republic is just a lumbering beast that is full of corruption and hypocrisy, two things that really annoy me as a person. At least with the Empire as it has been said, they are upfront about it. For example, the Empire tells you that it deals in slavery, the Republic, one of the first missions you get on the Capital, is to go and get some illegal slave collars from some criminals, that were stolen Or then this little gem... I mean the Empire should have had the disciplined Jedi and the Republic should have the Sith...
  7. Not to mention the line by Kaliyo Djannis when you enter the main building on DK... "Your the god damned secret police..."
  8. Dorne, if only due to the reason that Jorgen is too much of a.... <insert euphemism for a cat here>. I only keep Jorgen around as a scape goat... Maybe if he was a little nicer at the start, but well he was too smug and needs to be kept in his place....
  9. I'm up for either, my main characters can be found below
  10. You have no idea how true that is, as someone whom used to fly E-6B's along side A-6E's, I can tell you use I could do the A.T.G. or inflight refueling work of an A-6E, but then I wouldn't be doing my job of hunting S.A.M. sties, or providing E.W. support. I think I'll reserve judgment on the new craft till after I've had a chance to try one out, and been put up against them, right now all of this theory-craft is all talk, and crying that the sky is falling, just wait and see if the unit will be a good addition or not.
  11. See the area I put in bold, underlined and highlighted. There is no way one War Carrier did all of that, they can have one offensive drone and one defensive drone out at a time... also, you were in a scout fighter, more than likely set up for a close range engagement and probably one of the people that were taking advantage of the broken evasion system before 2.6. I have little sympathy for the lolscout whinny prats that think they had "mad leet skillz" because they were using a broken system, rather than trying to use a rock to beat paper, try using scissors? (Gunship or Strike Fighter) A rail gun drone cannot kill you before you can kill it, also use your missile lock brakes, and use missile locks on the Drone Carriers or Mine Layers, it's not like they can get away from them.... So in the words of the old lolscout guard, "we're fine L2P" And before you got accusing me of using a bomber, I fly a Star Guard, both pre and post 2.6, so I've always been on the short end of the stick, at-least now I have something to chew on most games.
  12. That's the thing, 'Bombers' if you can really call them that, the are more like area denial craft, are meant to be a counter to scouts, all of the bombers strengths are the weakness of the scouts (namely shields and hull). To fight them effectively, you really shouldn't be trying to hump their exhaust ports. Scouts are better for fighting other scouts, scouting a location for the heavies to roll in to, being a picket ship for a squadron moving in, and keeping gunships occupied and unable to line up shots on the heavies. The 'Bombers' are the heavies, they are meant to lock down an area, and soak up punishment. The Gunship is meant for taking out the heavies from outside of the engagement sphere of the heavies, as well as provide long range fire support. The Strike fighter is meant to be able to do a little bit of all of those other jobs, but not shine in any one area. In a 12v12 game, ideally I think having 3 or 4 scouts, 3 or 4 strikes, 2 or 3 'bombers' and 2 or 3 gunships would be a perfect combination for any one team with out slanting them too heavily in one area. this mix would give them the most flexibility I can see for the game, how ever that would take coordination, and planning.... Maybe one day we will see a command and control type of craft, like a space version of the Joint STARS (E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System) that would make good coordination easier. Till that point though, one just has to remember that GSF isn't a pure skill game, and actually has an Random Number Generator and RPG elements in it, and that means that sometimes you will just run into a brick wall that is meant to be a counter to your 'class', and you either adapt, die or give up and move on.
  13. I know the feeling in Domination I'm usually using my War Carrier, and I often move out to engage attackers, after I've put into ops chat "A is under attack"... And your stats sure look like mine in Domination too.... Sometimes I wonder if I get any credit for what my missile or rail Drones do... Do you run seeker mines or Protons? I like Protons and Heavy Lasers on my bird, with the rail Drone position to give it enough of an engagement zone covering the sat, as well as most of the way to B.
  14. -shrug- That's what I see happen every time I'm doing my dailies / weeklies on BC... I'm usually the only one holding A or C depending on what I feel like going for... And when I'm the aggressor, I'm either seeing a single mine layer or drone carrier holding the sat. And if you know what you are doing, well they are a little more work to take down, but since I run a proton Star Guard, I use my range to my advantage.... I guess it just depends on what server you're on, and when you play. Then again I like the tatical aspect that the game has picked up, if I wanted a true dog-fighting game, I'd go back to Vs. Since you know, that game actually required skill since there was no evasion or weapon accuracy ratings...
