  1. No seriously, why do we have movement abilities if we can't use them strategically?? You are ruining class diversity even further and making competition boring
  2. For a story focused MMO this is pathetic. If I was a writer on your staff, I'd be embarrassed that this was the work being published. How can you not realize the problem with companions has existed from the beginning of the game. You flooded the cast, but only let us use one companion, so the logical thing to do is USE YOUR FAVORITE ONE. The love interests should have been the first companions back! Your cast is inflated. When you pull up the companions and contacts menu, if they aren't good enough to be listed under main characters, they shouldn't have been a companion in the first place. You let function dictate form. Returning love interests as class specific in nothing more than an alliance alert is undeserving of the character and your fan's loyalty. If anyone in your creative department was all for this without protest then they don't care about their work and should be let go.
  3. I would like to see a return of the Rakata AlphaWave Inhibitor in either a purchasable form or as schematics to craft making it possible to fight the Nightmare Pilgrim. I believe 4.0 changed many of the vendors and removed this from the game, so it is near impossible find someone who can still craft enough of them for a 16 man raid, let alone a big guild. I'd also like to suggest the return of the original rakghoul event and the chevin event. Why go to all that effort to create this unique events to only do them once? Bring them back, give them new rewards and run them in syndication with other events. Lastly, you did a good thing adding opposite faction companion vendor. But not all of the customizations are there. The collector's edition and security key vendors need to be cross faction because you're still limiting (and in my opinion the best) customizations to one faction.
  4. Why Shae Vizla was pre-subscription reward before this droid and wookie is beyond me. They were the 4th pillar of the alliance in shadow of revan, yet here we are in the future, with all the same players, but them, in the biggest alliance of all time and they've dropped off the face of the galaxy.
  5. This 100%. You let the unpopularity of monthly chapters kill companion stories. Say for example, if Kotet had 12 chapters on release and returned 3 more old companions telling a story that is meaningful to the companions, while also giving the story follow its dues because all the chapters would be together. In other words, Kotfe 10-16 would have been better if you just released them all at once and gave us the whole story in this way.
  6. This I feel plays into another issue, I find with Bioware games in general, is the player as hero doesn't allow for a proper character arc because you can't have the events in the story actually change the player perception and feelings. If the player character (ie main character) can't reach a point of no return within themselves, then they've been shorted on the bill of goods in the narrative promise. Betrayals, revelations, and surprises will not hide this--which is the familiar trope here.
  7. Charles, I agree that the monthly chapter plan did not succeed as was originally planned. That said, I feel the result from a creative story point of view of "cutting corners" to fit the audience is just an excuse to do less work. I'd like to point out with the Iokath companion returns As you explained the express need to return companions has superseded the need to justify it in the text of the story. Essentially trivializing the returns. Its these kind of details that matter in story telling. Furthermore, its game mechanics that are getting in the way of storytelling. In an effort to give each class companions capable of each role (tank, heals, dps) you've flooded the cast. Personality that was possible in the individual class stories has slowly diminished to the point I don't know the difference between a warrior outlander and an inquisitor outlander. Alliance alerts are tacked on content that let you have more companions, only to have them be passive bystanders. I for one, would have welcomed a whole trilogy of chapters and important companions returns, but that is not to be. At the very least, make it look like the story means as much to you as it does to the audience. You are in a great position (a dream job if you will. I have an MFA in creative writing and I have to work at a newspaper. Lets just say creativity is frowned on.) to tell the story, to innovate, fulfill the story obligation to your audience. Unlike Keith and Eric's post on feedback, I feel like you are just justifying poor writing to your biggest fans.
  8. Hi, I mostly play imperial. I'm also a big achievement hunter and I've had trouble finding groups to complete achievements on republic side, specifically killing imperial base guards. The planets I'm looking at are Oricon, Section X, Yavin 4, and Makeb. I'm willing to discuss payment for this assistance. Please message me in game at one of the characters listed below if there are people or guilds able to help with this. Thank you.
  9. I want to add my two cents about art and marketing. The first rule is: know your audience. The quality of the packs has been bad for well over a year. First you cut back on the items per pack roll. Then added grand chance cubes against the communities outcry. Then increased the items per pack, kept the cubes and started rolling out a poorer quality of items. There are things in these packs that look like a dev said, "Hey this pack needs a filler. Throw something together before lunch and make it a different color." I feel these changes are being implemented because of sales. BUT YOU NEED TO GIVE THE AUDIENCE WHAT THEY WANT OR THE PRODUCT DOESN'T SELL. You're holding items like vented lightsabers, weapon tunings, intractable decorations, saber pikes etc. hostage behind an arbitrary barrier of entry. You've let the economy get over inflated because the supply doesn't meet the demand. These are digital items, no reason for a shortage. The drop rates need increased. There needs to be 2 items per pack. The filler needs to go. The quality designation bronze, silver, etc. needs to go. Finally, the artists have to try harder (seriously, from one artist to another: you have almost complete freedom here and only need to meet a star wars aesthetic and be unique).
  10. I see it like this: I work full time and go to school part time. This game is a hobby. Credits aside, that doesn't fix the horrible grind for power shards. It took me two and half nights to get through the story (my fault, life etc) but when I went to do the dailies I need 300 power shards for a quest. So I grinded out the shards, which took about 2 1/2 play hours (over 2 days) only to pick up a quest that now requires 600 power shards after I blew the 300. I'm beyond frustrated with the time sink required here---for dailies. Giving me more cxp and credits don't fix the problem. You guys screwed this up.
  11. What I don't understand why if snipers and mercs get all these great movement and defensive cooldowns for them to kite melee with "skill" why weren't the melee given anti-range utilities? I'll be the first to say I don't know much about class balance. But with the current situation, I can't utility into a leap to cover? Or have a leap reset on knockback? Or have an escape from electro-net other than cc break (like mad dash)? Seriously, do you realize how wrong it is when an ability like electro-net is refered to as "rape net" in your game?
  12. I'm holding out for the defiant vented lightsaber bioware. *hint, hint, hint*
  13. Without getting into spoilers, Chapter 9 Kotfe should have ended with "The Outlander" title. Chapter 16 Kotfe should have ended with "Commander" title. And Chapter 9 Kotet should have ended with "Emperor/Empress" titles respectively. We shouldn't have to pay cartel coins or hope to get these titles on the gtn. The story has labeled us these and should have been rewarded. The sub money alone, to produce that content, should have granted those titles.
  14. Lets not mention that you have end game super bosses that require 16 end game players to take out spawning in noob leveling areas. If I first started this game, and a super boss like that was in a lowbie leveling area and stomped me, I'd question whether its worth my time to level in that game.
  15. Taking away the Republic Carbine appearance feels lore breaking. The model needs to be brought back. Furthermore, the same applies to jedi shadow. Hence why it was dubbed the worn double-bladed lightsaber. Please return the proper models. Finally, I've actually found enjoyment replaying the class stories for legacy weapons. Maybe reinstate the chapter 1 models as legacy as well? I would love to have a legacy saber for both of my juggs of the Dread Sith Savage Lightsaber.
