  1. You know, in WoW you can have a cross server friends AND ignore list if you want. So, technically it promotes community because you can actually make friends from other servers you meet while doing LFG if you choose. You can then add them to a friends list and talk to them / group with them in game. If you come across a d-bag while in LFG you can put them on ignore and never meet them again. This pretty much works the same as a 'blacklist', though so does ignoring someone from your own server.
  2. The most shocking thing about this thread is that the OP actually believes there is a use for credits in this game and that they are somehow hard to come by.
  3. I like this game and I want it to succeed, but I really don't think I'd play it if it wasn't a SW IP. That bothers me, becuase this game can't really stand on it's own merits. Take the SW IP away and you are left with a game that is average at best. This is just my opinion of course.
  4. If the only time your girlfriend gets to spend with you is playing TOR, don't worry, she'll be gone soon. It sounds like you really need to reevaluate your RL priorities instead of worrying about grouping in a video game that is entirley soloable for 90% of it's content.
  5. While I don't particularly care what color someone wants for their lightsaber, the more annoying thing for me anyway is the number of dark jedi and light sith running around. It's far more immersion breaking and clearly doesn't fit the IP.
  6. They remind me of Thundercats, which is kind of awesome. They should add them on the republic side and maybe it would help the faction imbalance. I'd roll one.
  7. So much for the 'LFG tools destroy communities' arguments I guess.
  8. If expertise was not in the game players with access to the best PVE gear would stomp people in PVP. Of course, that's what people really want when they say that Bioware should get rid of expertise. I'd be fine with getting rid of Expertise if the best PVE gear was obtainable through PVPing, then everyone would be on equal footing. In that case though, there would be little incentive for anyone to do operations. It's an MMO though and the gear grind is always going to exist. Having to obtain seperate gear sets keeps people playing longer.
  9. I know the reason. I was just adding something that doesn't make sense from a lore perspective. Though I could make a long list about that.
  10. Why is it that they bring me to train on Korriban or Tython and then charge me for skills? What if I don't have the money to pay? Will they just not train me in the ways of the force?
  11. I tried rolling a Jedi Knight but the story just bored me to tears. The characters and story have zero depth. By contrast, the Sith Warrior story is actually quite engaging right from the beginning. I would have rolled a Smuggler, but IMO the cover system is totall fail. I loved the IA story but the game play just feels off. This is only my opinion of course.
  12. This is the reason I stopped using Mako as a companion.
