Result Blue Smuggler CAN Friend anyone in Red Alliance. Can NOT Friend Anyone in Blue Alliance (says name not found) Blue smuggler can Not send/recieve Mail to/from Blue Alliance, says name not found, and Also cna NOT send/receive mail from Red Alliance, says - can not send to opposite faction

Actually you Can. I have done it. The Faction = the Story = the Blue or Red Alliance ALL the characters in this situation are Blue Alliance. However, the Blue Alliance Smuggler - that Chose Mercenary Ski8lls (because that is allowed now ) and is Still Blue Alliance and is doing Blue Alliance Story - CAN be Friends with Red Alliance But CAN'T be Friends with Blue Alliance Additionally the same character can Not Mail to Blue Alliance - reason given : ( Name of [ ANY ] character does not exist ) and can NOT Mail to Red Alliance reason given ( can't mail to opposite faction)

Granted, but that can be said of all the Base classes. You can Turn the the Dark/Light side, but the Game system still recognizes the base creation and assigns it that specific Story. So the Smuggler Story is going to be on the Light side, even tho you can play them as Dark. But as far as who the game will allow you to Mail and Friend, That is a separate issue. The Base class is Smuggler - so the System sees that and places the character into the Light Side Story. This denies the character Mail and Friend with any Dark Side characters. The Skill choice was Mercenary. The system sees a Dark Side skillset so it Denies Friend and Mail from the Light side characters So, in essence the character - because of the Skillset they prefer - gets punished for Using that skillset. They can not make a Friend on the Story side they are playing, and they can Not Mail anything to anyone on the side they are playing. Using the new Smuggler/Merc, I was able to Friend a Dark Side character. But I could not Mail to Either Light or Dark characters. Light says 'character does not exist'. Dark says 'Not allowed to send Mail to the opposite Faction'.

Ok, riddle me this. Got a new account for family member, although we don't play simultaneously. Main account has always been on Satele Shan - has lots of collections etc. Wanted to start fresh, so started on Star forge. One account is Jedi / Sentinel. The other is a Smuggler - That is Light Side - but since we had the option, chose Mercenary. So Both characters are playing Light Side. WHY won't the game allow me to send anything through the mail, or create Friend, between 2 Light Side characters? The Company made it so we could Use the skills of the other side, without actually Playing the other side. Try to send Mail - They don't exist. Try to make Friend - They don't exist. This can't be new. I can't be the first person to notice this. Why hasn't something this basic been fixed? I you are on the Light side, you are supposed to be able to send mail or make Friends with other Light characters. It's Not supposed to depend on the skills you chose. EDIT One more thing I noticed. A Dark side character can Friend my Light Side Mercenary. But they are Not allowed to send mail to them (unless they are in the same legacy). So, I can have a Friend that I can Never communicate with, much less send anything to.

So then, what if (and this would take a lot of work on the Company's part) every item had an in-game Credit Purchase cost? Cartel Market items bought with in-game credits would be listed higher than the cost to buy from the Cartel Market. So Cartel Market purchase would be more economical. But this would put an in-game credit ceiling on all items. Players could still sell items for just a bit less than their in-game credit purchase price (or more if they could find people silly enough to spend their in-game credits), so that option to make credits is still viable. Just an idea that probably needs some work. But its a thought.

Then I wanted to ask if any guilds were recruiting and my words were not showing in chat. Write out the message, hit enter, Nothing. Then after a bit I also noticed i was not receiving any messages in general chat at all - I was not seeing anyone else post anything. But then I went up to my stronghold and I AM able to post in to general chat from the stronghold, and see new messages from others there as well.

Haven't had this happen before. I've unified the colors. Even put a dye into the head piece. In the outfitter, and in the Logiin page, it looks white, as it should. In game - it's Pink Any ideas why? https://i.imgur.com/58NdKxj.png

I guess I don' t understand the big deal. Every other MMO i play, that has daily log in rewards, its always minimal to no use items up through about 20 or so days. During the month you probably end up with 2 or 3 'decent' items. But its not like it costs anyone anything. They are freebies. I don't see the big deal about them.

I got the same problem but its not actually downloading. it just stays at 0.0 and never moves EDIT: Tried the Change to XP service pack 3 compatibility and it works

On the lighter side... I have been playing this game off and on for about 5 years. It never occurred to me to put the credits in the Bank. Always had one character who was my 'banker', holding the majority of credits. If I started a new character, I made the character, park at mailbox, log out, log in banker, send some starting credits to buy legacy stuff, log out, relog in with new character. coulda just had new character pop up to stronghold Sometimes I am sooooo stoopid LOL

well, IN watching this debate, I generally agree with the side that sticks to the issue and does Not stoop to throwing personal insults at people just because they disagree.
