  1. I have also had this happen multiple times in Hutt Ball, and also during void star (flying in on the speeder). Pls fix
  2. If you see someone standing in the spawn area (waiting to grapple), run to the far right or far left and cross the line out of their range.

    Stuns

What you are probably experiencing is a: stun -> resolve bar full -> damage -> 100% snare (resolve does not affect snares) -> more damage -> resolve bar starting to empty -> another stun -> another 100% snare-> another stun -> another 100% snare -> etc. With enough experienced players on you, looking at your resolve bar, you can remain stationary for quite some time. The key is to only use your "CC breaker" when at full resolve, and your defense CDs when 100% snared. Using a "CC breaker" on a snare usual spells death. Example: a Powertech grapples you into fire pit which roots (100% snare) you for 3 sec, you use your "CC breaker" to escape the root, however, your resolve wasn't at full, they follow it up by a 4 sec stun, your left in the fire with nothing to save you. This is OP, and I abuse it all the time on my Powertech It seems broken, but I'm not sure how they would fix it without breaking other melee classes... It's just something you have to prepare for. Also, never carry the huttball across hazards without your "CC breaker" off CD. (Other option is to stun the enemy before they stun you)
  4. Personally, I think crit trumps all when it comes to crafting skills. The Republic has an advantage here. The Empire needs a buff. QQ P.S. Great Post
  5. For simplicity sake, I was implying most PvP servers be "isolated" and most PvE servers become "cross-server"; however, this does not have to be the case. A better way to determine which servers make the switch, is to look at average queue times and/or amount of different people queuing. (Both of which BW can easily get) Say for instance a server has: 0-5 min queue time; leave them alone. 5-10 min queue time; group them with 1-2 other servers 10-20 min queue time; group them with 3-5 other servers etc. Basically, I'm trying to say it shouldn't be an all or nothing thing, and BW just needs to put more thought into "which" servers needs this function. Hence trying to get a poll about "which" servers want to switch. Also, I am firmly against mixing PvE servers with PvP servers; there is just a huge gear/skill imbalance. Perchance there are PvP servers with long queue times, group them with other PvP servers.
  6. Not a horrible idea, however, it has a few issues that would need to be addressed: You will have trolls from the other faction losing intentionally because their friends are on the other team. Although Hutt Ball already has this issue. You also have an issue of stacking buffs from both sides = more programming so that the different sides buffs are exclusive. And it breaks a lot of the lore, like the opening cinematic to the void star. (hence why that WZ isn't same faction.)
  7. Sorry for forum jumping. Instead of arguing whether or not it is a good idea; let's discuss which servers this would be a good idea for and which it would not. Check out my solution post: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=163859
  8. For reference see: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1422167#edit1422167 - page 7. So I realize that others have been already QQing about this topic in other forum posts, but I want to actual propose a compromise to both sides of the argument. If you don't understand what the issue is, read some of http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=162719 The consensus seems to be this: People on a PvP server: "PvP Queue times are always very quick." "I love the sense of community and knowing who I'm killing." "Leave the system alone!" People on a PvE server: "I Que for PvP only when I'm not raiding and queue times are so slow." "My real friends PvE and I don't care who I PvP with, I just want to fight someone." "Change the system now!" Without too much detail, here's the idea: Make only SOME servers cross-realms (ie. PvE servers with long queue times). If you want "community", play on a server listed as "isolated" and only queue with people on your server. (most of the PvP servers) If you want "speed", play on a server listed as "cross-server" and queue with people across servers. (most of the PvE servers) What not to post Let's not discuss the reasons involving speed or community, everyone understands and it's pointless to argue whether apples are better than oranges. What to post Simply state what name/type of server YOU are on, and whether YOU want cross-realms on YOUR server. (emphasis on what YOU want) My Voice I do NOT want cross-realms on my server. Server: Ven Zallow/RP-PvP Character: Zorack/Powertech
  9. Here's an idea. Implement cross server PvP for all those lame PvE servers with long que times. But leave the PvP servers alone. Simply enough, you can choose whether you want community or speed. I choose my community.
  10. Let's simplify the OP's example, and look at some real numbers. Situation: A DPS with base damage of 100 points VS. a Healer with base healing of 100 points First Case: Both have 0% Expertise 1)The DPS does 100 points of damage not modified. 2)The 100 Damage is not mitigated. 3)The healer heals for 100 points Ratio: 100/100 = 1 with no expertise, they are matched in strength. Second Case: Both have 20% Expertise 1)The DPS does 100 points increased by 20%: 100*(1.2) = 120 2)The 120 Damage is mitigated by the healers 20% expertise: 120*(0.8) = 96 3)The healer heals for 100 points increased by 20%: 100*(1.2) = 120 Ratio: 120/96 = 1.25 with 20% expertise, the healer is healing for 25% more than what the DPS is doing. So it's true that healers benefit more from expertise, but, this is not necessarily bad as people already die pretty quickly in PvP. Please correct me if I have misunderstood how expertise works.
