  1. And Another. There's quite a few of these, so I'll post two a day so I don't spam the whole thread. Maldecka The Kid #23 Cross My Heart - Honesty isn't exactly espoused by most organizations in the galaxy, but some individuals and groups still strive for it. Write about your characters encountering (or handing out) the right or wrong truth at the right or wrong time. --
  2. Hey all, long time no post. I'm glad to see this thread is still here and kicking. That said, I did finish The Maldecka the Kid series. I'll post it here since this is the thread that got it going in the first place. Maldecka The Kid #22 Spoilers: JK Laws and Governance - Our characters pass through a huge number of jurisdictions with a huge variety of regulations, forms of government, fine print, and - eek - legal penalties. Write about an interaction your character has had with government and/or the legal system. --
  3. Maldecka the Kid #20 Disguises
  4. @ bright_ephemera: Wynston’s communication breakdown had me snickering. Excellent job in four lines : ) @ alaurin: Snarky Jorgan is awesome. You really have a knack for creating a fun dynamic between Jorgan and Mallay. @marissalf: Awwww. I’m so glad their back together! And the holo-fireflies and snowflakes were a really cool thing to add. @DarthSillyMonkey: Oh noze! I read your comment after I wrote this next story. Glad you like the dynamic they got anyway. Drokk’it is great. I love the image of lines of unqualified fans wandering about. : ) Maldecka the Kid #21 Abt 700 words in 1 hour. SPOILERS: Orgus in in this one so JK Prologue spoilers Parenthood - Many of our characters either have issues with their parents, are parents themselves, or both. Parents can make things complicated, whether it's simply the generational gap or the fact that they aren't great parents. _________________
  5. Or I could write another bite. Maldecka the Kid #20: Disguises abt 400 words written in 20 min Disguises - Sometimes our characters have to gain entry to places that it's not easy to get into. What's a good strategy? A disguise, of course! Write about a time in which your character had to pretend to be someone or something else, and how they dealt with trying to be convincing. ___________________
  6. Maldecka the Kid #19: Collections
  7. Oops, walk away for a few days and suddenly there's a gazillion great stories on this thread. I apologize for not commenting. They're all striking and you are all lovely people. So I'll just leave this here and head back to catch up reading... Maldecka the Kid #19 Abt 1900 words in a couple days. Collections - This wide galaxy is a great place for hoarders...or definitely not hoarders, I don't know what you're talking about. Where would your character put all the random things you can accumulate, all the speeders, random pets, the copious crafting mats, countless outfits, armor sets, saber hilts.... or does your character only collect one thing in particular, a couple of things, or nothing at all? Prompt courtesy of Kitar. __________________

  9. Maldecka the Kid #17: Tools of the Trade
  10. These are fantastic! Your art style seems to capture movement and detail without sacrificing to either. Will you be posting more?
  11. @ alaurin: Nice story. That mission always had me raising my eyebrow, just seemed so...unwise. Love your take on it. @ marissalf: Oh Kalyio...such a fascinating character. Really liked the piece. Maldecka the Kid #18 abt 400 words in 1 hour First Day on the Job - Some of our characters have very long, very colorful employment histories. Others picked a job or had it picked for them when they were very young. Pick one of the jobs your character has held and describe the day they came to it. __________________
  12. @ marissalf: Thank you. @ Striges: Glad you're enjoying it. I always thought it was kinda funny. Defeat a sith? Here's a lightsaber! And there's a giant fish man for you to kill. @ bright_ephemera: I'm glad the crystal imagery carried through. Interesting trill on the nature of the force. @ Irrissa: Oooo, I like Rosaleen already. Maldecka the Kid #17 abt 2200 in 2 days. SPOILERS: Bits of Ch 1. sorta Tools of the Trade - We all use tools in our everyday lives, whether it be a skill like one's persuasive powers, equipment like one's weaponry, or the right bit of knowhow to solve the problem without the need for that weaponry. Write about the tools that your characters depend on...or the ones they avoid using. ______________________________ Author's note: Just so you all know, almost done with Alderaan is as far as I got. I'm pretty slow at SWTOR and My comp hard drive crashed recently so I've had no computer on which to play. My work has a huge amount of down time and that's where I've been writing all this. So my choice was to crawl up a wall wondering what happens and then be tempted to spoil it for myself, or to distract myself with pre-game adorableness and wait until I can play it myself. So, no spoilers y'all
  13. Maldecka the Kid #16: Changes
  14. @ marissalf: I'm glad you liked it! I wasn't sure if the jumping from Maldecka's accepting Zarro as her master to the future of having Orgus as her master worked. But hey so long as y'all enjoyed it @Lesaberisa: Wow that's a lot of prompts. I don't even know whitch one I want to comment on. D: They were all punchy and focused. @ EverSteam: "Whatcha doing?" "Oh, hanging around"...I had a big smile on while I read this. @ bright_ephemera: I'm glad you liked the waltz! I wasn't sure if it would work with Zarro, but I just liked the image of this big bad Knight waltzing in his spare time. I had a hard time describing it without saying, "He's waltzing" since Maldecka would be more familiar with circle dances from her tribe (me thinks) Maldecka the Kid #16 Changes _________________________
