  1. Yes you can break out of the knock down. I have seen players do this against me a lot and guess what? They get full resolve out of it so I'm done in terms of stuns. Operative is paper thin and if they want to have this high damage output, they're heals are pretty much worthless so all those arguments for that is irrational. Op / Scoundrel are PVP glass cannons. They have to be very selective of their target, which is why they're are a lot of bad players failing with the class. It doesn't matter if I can get a lot of damage to a single player in a short time if I have very few ways of surviving medium / long ranged combat (without hiding or relying on very short term skills like a 3 second evasion). 2 minute cool down on the vanish, hardly a spam ability and it can take a very long time to re stealth if I am stuck in combat because my target didn't die or someone is attacking me. I saw a comment about putting a DOT on an op / scoundrel, this is the best counter to us and I see the really long term ones used a lot on me. If I stealth, it breaks me out when I take the DOT damage (can't cleanse non-toxins), rendering me unable to use my opener (unless I pop a 2 minute cool down for vanish and attack instantly). The DOT means I am just stuck out in the open and taking a ton of damage from every direction because of how squishy an OP is. If I try to attack an enemy and his team mates are just a little aware of what's going on, then I won't get my kill and will probably die in seconds. It's a very situational stealth class and it requires timing and preparation. Don't try to comment on a class that you have never played with. You get to see all the highlights but never notice the ton of drawbacks.
  2. lol! On our server, every other bounty hunter is just using nothing but Tracer Missile in PVP. Just as bad as lightning spam. Gets to the point where if you distract the player, preventing them from casting it for 4 seconds, they just freak out and don't know what to do... literally standing there and waiting for the ability to become available. These are level 50s.
  3. Are you sure it's just not because of a drop in frame rate? I'm currently a 27 Agent Healer and I've had no problems with chaining heals in PVP. I do notice that the frame rate can drop compared to PVE however (ton more stuff going down).
  4. I can see how having a reward system for open world PVP will be very exploitable. I have yet to reach the high levels of Ilum so i'm not going to judge the open world pvp just yet. I can say this though... It's up to the player base on a server to create the open world PVP. Having objectives and rewards is an incentive (though will be exploitable) but it is not a neccesity. I'd be perfectly happy with a super dangerous large area where gangs of players roam around fighting. Who needs rewards? PVP is about the kill, not the pretty trinkets.
  5. Chat bubbles should always be an option in an MMO. It's not even for the RP factor, it's just so much more convenient when you don't have to keep an eye out in the top left corner of the screen.
  6. I do think the benefits of a bolstering system outweighs having a bracket system. The only concern I have is that i'm pretty much playing hutball all the time (lack of republic, maybe there should be another warzone which is mixed), and i'm not sure if the levels of the entire team is averaged. Sometimes it feels like I get into a game and half my team are around lvl 12 and the enemy has almost all of them at 30+ = steamroll. Could just be that the enemy team was more organised though and made more of a presence
  7. No, me and my guild have the exact same sentiments. We had a blast in BT, figured Hammer was a fluke (but at least it had crew skill related effects on the FP). Then Athiss, we tried it at lvl 17 and made it through to the Boss, couldn't do it due to a lack of some abilities. Redid this at 20 and it was a breeze. We were a little disappointed in how big a difference that made and the fact that we have yet to come across another conversation in a FP. It does look like BT was made for advertising purposes and to get players hooked early. Then they just rushed out the other flashpoints. I do hope we see more like it in the later levels.
  8. SWG was a king MMORPG. It had everything you needed to sustain long replay ability. After months of training, I was finally a Jedi. The very same week, NGE was announced with Jedi as a selectable start option. No words can comprehend how bad a design choice that was. Their levelling system was unique and incredible, but lets scrap that. ugh. I don't expect SWTOR to be another SWG, but lets hope they take some of the mechanics and see the potential TOR has in the future (as end game is always going to be a concern) I gave my RIP to SWG after NGE.
  9. It doesn't really matter if the server is light right now, unless you plan on playing this early on a weekday. I saw the servers filled at peak time and this be the problem (Unless players were only logging in to make characters at a time where they will not normally play).
  10. Is there a soft cap system in place? Where a server capacity is increased over time until launch, otherwise we will be seeing the first set of servers filled with those who pre-ordered early, the next wave will fill the next set of servers (you get the idea) This is problematic for those who have friends who are already playing, but do not yet have access. It would also lead to some interesting communities where servers have been filtered to contain players that pre-ordered at different times.
