  1. I am seeing a lot of back and forth, to and 'froing here. I am also seeing the word completionist being tossed about like last weeks bad news. If you are a completionist as you say there are ways to still play as you normally would without spoiling the experience. Outlevelling can be as mild or severe as you make it.. simply restrict your gear to the gear you would realistically have for a planet and only purchase your skill upgrades for the level bracket that applies to the planet you are on. Don't go spending planetary commendations on gear that is not from the planet you are currently on. A grey quest merely reduces the xp you earn from it. A higher rank skill may have an impact but not nearly so drastic as to make the content unenjoyable. If completionism is your thing then it won't truly matter to you if your skills are a tad higher so long as you keep your gear close to the content you are trying to complete. Talk of how hard or difficult it would be to implement or alter the xp boost is also kinda frivolous, while a toggle may have been desirable for some and a non issue for others implementing one now could be either really simple or horrendously difficult, we don't know. In the past stuff that would seem simple has shown itself to spawn a myriad of random issues. In short completionists your level only adds stats it does NOT add skill ranks nor higher gear merely the ability to acquire higher rank gear and skills, i propose a simpler less frustrating approach.. keep your skills and gear on par with the level. Yes I am aware there is mild increase in accuracy etc by being a higher level than a target but it really is minimal most of the oomph from being higher level is the higher rank skills and better gear.
  2. I agree theorycrafting has its place and appreciate the values the op has put forth. The way the game calculates things does have an impact yes.. but what none of this adressess is the fact that basic itemisation via commendation vendors means that the figures the op poses would be horrendously hard to achieve without significant sacrifices or HARD mode operation farming in order to get the mods to achieve the ratings he suggests at each gear rank. If defense is valued so highly why is it when I look at my Ultimate and Elite Comms vendors doI not see defense on more gear.. I see loads of absorb loads of shield and one or two pieces with defense stacked with a mitigation attribute. Grab what defense you can itemisation doesn't make the theorycraft law, theorycraft rarely takes into account reasonable and realistic itemisation spreads.. i certainly am not going out to buy 9 pieces of kit with high end comms just for a defense mod or enhancement, certainly not when my talents promote shield and absorb, not defense like the kiddies say, I get one talent that boosts defense and Ibelieve that is because our gear has NONE of it in significant enough qualities in the current 2.0 envrionment. As it is i am decked out in 162 gear no arkanian 4 piece for me yet and with mods I am sitting a mere 1.9% away from my defensive soft cap and my shield is 38% with absorb at around 35%, my basic itemisation also follows the soft cap model favoring shield and absorb over defense suggesting "designer intent"
  3. I was wondering after you have gotten your soft caps for crit surge etc roughly how much bonus healing should you be shooting for to heal TFBHM as a merc healer. Now i know i keep hearing oh pretty much all bh gear blah blah, but since gear is moddable and can have a mix of grades with mods and enhancements that can be very dicey. So after caps how much bonus healing with only class buffs is a good start point for merc healing in tfbhm.
