Unsurprisingly the people who called for slicing to be nerfed didn't think to far ahead about the ramifications such a nerf could have on the game's economy.
People will buy less from the trade network that's right crafters people will be buying less of whatever it is you make want to know why? Because the skill that many used to obtain the credits has just been rendered useless due to you're forum complaints. Prior to the nerf I was making enough enough credits to cover mounts, skill purchases, and of course purchases from the trade network which put the credits I made into the hands of other players. Before the patch I had no issues selling patterns and things obtained through slicing and adventuring but now nothing seems to sell because people's source of additional credits for discretionary spending has been run into the ground and now no one is spending credits on the trade network.
So if you are looking for someone to blame when everything you post on the trade network stops selling well you just have to look in the mirror for the one responsible.
On a side-note to any Bioware employees
Don't start/continue down the slippery slope of letting vocal forum members influence game design it never ends well.
