  1. *shrug* fine with me but they would definitely have to give my class a buff or two if they did, Marauders are perfectly viable without rebuke
  2. I think cloak of pain or rebuke for sentinals should be taken away from them completely. There is no reason a DPS class should have a classic tanking ability.
  3. So basically what you are saying is that they should be able to screw me over by entering warzones without pvp gear, and I should just accept it or leave the warzone? No. Bioware shouldn't allow 1 person to screw over 7 of their own teammates in a warzone. That is an outrage.
  4. I do premade, and If I had the option of having all 8 players on my team I wouldn't be nearly as upset about it as I am. I am forced to deal with people who lessen my chances of winning and slow my progression. They are just as guilty of "imposing their playstyle" as I am because they are forcing me to either leave the warzone, or go out of my way to pick up the slack. I HAVE to worry about what they are doing or I lose the match. PVP warzones aren't about individuals, it is about a team working together to achieve objective. Someone without recruit gear CAN'T contribute to the team. They can't do damage and they die faster then they can get out of the spawn door on the initial charge. No one with a brain thinks they aren't buying recruit gear becuase they are actively trying to make their team lose. By not buying it however, they ARE inhibiting their team. They are aware that they are lowering their teams chance of victory, and they don't care. In other words: they are selfish, which is a point that should be made. The "imposing my playstyle" and "imposing my standards" arguements are points that needs to stop being used. It isn't my method of play, or my standards. It's Bioware's. They are the ones who want pvp gear only for pvp, and pve gear only for pve you come into a warzone with level 30 blue mods in your gear you are going against their intended design. On a side note: I haven't done the math and generally don't yell at people in Full rakatta gear instead of recruit gear. I don't know if the base damage from their gear is made up for by the expertise, I'm fairly sure they have more HP then the % of damage they reduce however. If they have run the numbers themselves and there isn't a difference or Rakatta is better, good on them. Those queueing up for warzones as a fresh 50 with mods they haven't updated since level 30 and expecting to get carried through matches so they can get WZ comms for battlemaster without carrying their own weight are the ones I have issues with and they should never be allowed into a warzone. Whether intentional or not, all they do is screw over other players who also pay a 15$ a month subscription.
  5. selfish - devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one's own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others. Everyone in pvp is selfish: those without recruit gear are being selfish by trying to progress to tier 2 without bothering to obtain tier 1 gear, which makes it more difficult for the team to function, slowing the progression of the other 7 people on their team because they are not just deadweight, they are a liability, they can't defend an objective, and they can't take one. I am being selfish saying that they should have to buy recruit gear, because I don't care about their progression when it is slowing mine, and if they don't want to get the tier 1 pvp gear, I don't want to help them get tier 2.
  6. I think that recruit gear should be a requirement. People who come into a warzone undergeared already have to be carried by their teammates. People who come into a warzone without gear might as well not even be there. You don't want me yelling at you to do something you don't want to do. I dont' want you in the match I'm playing in. It forces me to do one of two things: I can carry your useless hide through the match, or I can quit. You bring down the game experience for everyone in that match because you refuse to get recruit gear. Is it elitist? Probably, but I don't really care, people who don't buy recruit gear are damaging my game experience making it more difficult to win and slowing my progession so I can speed up yours. I think its a bit more elitist to think that you are so special that you shouldn't have to carry your own weight in a match. (yes they should make recruit gear free by the way)
  7. Yes there is a huge difference between pvp queing an pve grouping....but on my server the people who play more then 4 hours a week to raid are the ones who pvp and raid on the side, or Raid and pvp on the side. You take away premade pvp groups and those players will quit leaving the server deserted other then 4 hours a week where all it takes is one person to quit the raid group and the entire group falls apart because they can't find any replacements. I am not saying that Solo queuing is anti social, and pre-made groups not against letting people join their groups. They are against letting bad players into their groups which lowers their effectiveness. If all there is, is solo queue you will see anti social pvp groups. If you are undergeared but a decent player i can't run a premade to help you gear up for ranked warzones. I'm not going to be able to help you.
  8. Here's the issue with the two options you give: First in reguards to premade vs premade. On my server there are two guilds that play full premades constantly. They also play at different times of the day, making it so that we don't just have to wait longer to play: we will NEVER play. I am more then open to premade vs premade queues once they fix the population. If they do it before they fix it I'll unsub and never look back. Second: solo queueing. I do solo queue quite often when there aren't many people on in guild, I often give up my spot to another guildy if we have an odd man out. However, never in a million years will I play a game that is pure solo queuing. The frustration is almost enough to make me quit in about 50% of the games I pug. I give a solid plan, no one disputes it...and then they do the complete opposite. Most don't even have recruit gear and charge into 1v1 situations with warheros. When I premade I know at least 3 other people on my team know what they are doing. If I am solo queuing, a lot of the time I have try and herd at least 3 mules, 2 others are running around in level 30 crafted gear, and the final 2 are /sitting on the left turret. Are there teams that get off on roflstomping people who stand no chance: yes I won't argue that. However I think that most teams want even matches and the ones that don't are the vocal minority. Do normal premade groups who are fed up of going against trash teams hate it more: I'd say yes, because those pugers have an option of grouping which they chose not to do then continue to queue up. To your final statement: You take out the option to premade, everyone who pvps in premades quits. That is not healthy for the game. Less grouping = less community (which basically means none at this point) = those of us who only stay around now because of friends leave. Without the premaders on my server: raids die, flashpoints die, all end game content dies. Which option is more healthy for the majority of players?
  9. Most means that there are acceptions but they are not in the majority, which is so true that its not funny at all. There are a few puggers I would pick up for a premade. Most can't be bothered to look at chat and don't have a clue what they are doing.

    WZ xp?

It is based on a few things: your contribution to the team, the time in a match, and whether you won or not
  11. I don't need voice to coordinate with my team. I don't need voice to pick out the best kill order. I don't need voice to peel for my healer or ranged dps. I don't need voice to figure out what the enemy is doing. A team on voice does have an advantage, no doubt, because I can hit my push to talk button and say east instead of making these really really long chat enteries: East, West, center. I would not mind a premade vs premade bracket in normal warzones AFTER they merge their servers. Banning them all together would make me hit the unsubscribe button faster then you can blink. You may not be aware of this, but people in premades hate being around most pugers more then you hate being stuck against us. Most pugers, pug because they are so bad that no decent players will group with them. Most of us don't like to rofl stomp people who can barely hit the power button on their computer let alone be bothered to look up at their chat window for the plan or the incoming calls...or to call them. We want even fights, close matches. We don't want to be grouped with you and we don't want to be grouped against you.
  12. You can't defend against tech or force attacks. Scoundrel is all tech. They can't miss, or be defended against unless they get hit with an accuracy reduction by a vanguard tank or smuggler
  13. ^ This part The macros they might as well put in, I think the only reason they didn't have them was the ToR accessories from Razor already have macros built in and if they put them in the game there was no reason to buy it. The mods I don't think they should put in. Everyone in pvp should be on even footing, in my opinion down to the UI.
  14. I think in a year, possibly two this game will be something that causes more enjoyment then frustration to play. I had really high hopes for this game and honestly planned on playing it until they closed the final server. Unless they remake their customer service department, reprioritize their fix orders (I'm sorry, but /grovel and running around doesn't stop me from playing the game...getting knocked down in warzones in the spawn area does and the /grovel was fixed first. The getting knocked down still isn't fixed...and to be honest I think it happens more often now...I saw it twice in the last 8 warzones or so), and last but not least, merge their servers and stop trying to stop a panic that won't happen if they spend half the amount of time spinning the 1.2 changes as they spend spinning the merges. I'll tell you what I think would get most things fixed in a hurry: They use their free time to play their game. That sound bug would have lasted less then 24 hours had anyone on the design team actually played the game. Edit: almost forgot, give us tools to help build a community....that means when I go to my server forum, I find my server forum....and don't have to dig through 30 posts from other servers to find it.
  15. Dear Bioware, One of the major selling points of this game was the customizable gear. With the introduction of the new tier of gear, it has become even more apparent that the people doing itemization for the highest end gear have absolutely no idea what classes they are itemizing for. Case in point: scoundrel gear. There is no reason, ever, under any circumstances you should have accuracy on gear as a scrapper scoundrel. All their attacks are tech based, however 3 pieces of their customizable gear have accuracy as a stat (the only possible exception is when you get your accuracy reduced by a smoke granade or flash bang in which case if you feel the need to have accuracy you would pop an adrenal, not take a permanant stat increase for something that is few and far between) . In order to get enhancements that should be standard for a tech based class, you are forced to buy 1 and 1/2 sets of warhero gear to replace the mods. On my guardian i can buy one set and never have to change out the mods. You let crafters make orange WH gear which people who min/max, or really just want to be competitive will use instead of the normal shells, why not let us buy the armorings, mods and enhancements themselves? This puts every class on even footing for actual gear progression.
