  1. Honestly, I do not like the change to the trees at all, But I'll live with them.
  2. Except for the part where most hybrids weren't meant to be 'better' than the main classes, but different. The only ones that caught on were the ones that did a lot of damage or whatever. I think I've run quite a few hybrids, and most were to just create a character other people didn't have. I would learn that character well enough to run ops, and most of the time people wouldn't notice a thing. Its the fact that I'm now forced to be the same that bothers me. I liked my suboptimal hybrids, and for people saying that most choices were predetermined, no they weren't. You had the ability to take any abilities/passives you wanted and skip whatever you wanted. If 99% play a class one way, that means 1% are not, meaning that your choices weren't automatic.
  3. Well, 50 mil really isnt that much. My 'small' guild, which is literally 2 people, will probably have a guild ship within a month of it coming out, if we try. We gathered about 10mil in a week and a half doing practically nothing, so I figure we can get 50 alright. Note that before this, the most we had at 1 time was 3-5mil. The price is something to work towards, a guild needs 4 people minimum to start, with 4 it is possible to get the ship if you work towards it. The more people, the easier it will be for the guild, but that is all. The only people this alienates are those not willing to put any effort into getting the ship.
  4. I honestly would apply, but I do not meet the first requirement. I haven't done it for a year, why do all the jobs require experience...gaming is mean... Also relocation and pay would need to be considered, but still.
  5. I actually have 3 questions about the "Transport entire groups to your personal coordinates instantaneously" line. First, will this transport only the other members in your party, as in the 4 man group, or will it affect everyone in the group up to the 24 man limit? Second, will there be any safeguards in place to stop someone who is, lets say, pvping someone 1 on 1 in the world from just having the rest of his group tp to him to save him? Third, will this process be just transport people, or will we get a pop-up? This last one is mainly just to stop people trolling. Thank you.
  6. Coming into this I figured that you ran it with sub 50, in which case I'm not surprised because the only level you need to be in order to get into any operation is 50. And it's not like its that hard in sm anyway, I may drag a few 50-54s through a 16man at some point But, to conclude, its all in the patch notes, and they say that its only limited to 50, so it is 50. congrats
  7. As one of those players who really only does pugs(Not in a real guild, just made one and don't yet have enough people), I find that 'premades', or just randomly gathering on fleet, usually works on fleet...for sm ops at least. I never queue for flashpoints unless I have at least one other person to 'make up' for the group, as it becomes annoying to wipe because people who don't know what to do REFUSE to listen. I have tried, and will probably continue trying, to run HM ops through premades. however each time it is only TFB and we fail at Op IX, as one or two players(DPS usually) either refuse to do things correctly(Like channeling when you're supposed to and such). On a final note, before transfers opened I could tell you who I'd want in my raid groups, who to stay away from, and players who are good but have a really bad attitude. Now? Not so much, as Double XP has added to the list quite a bit. Hopefully pugging gets a little easier, but in the meantime my ignore list will grow longer.
  8. The real problem here is the assumption that Treek was meant to be a legacy unlock in the first place. While I like the idea of having something useful at high end legacy(as I am getting close to 50), this companion sounds like it was made primarily for the CM, with the option for long time players to pay credits instead. If you look at it from this standpoint, the legacy level isn't the point at which you should get Treek, but instead is the point that you are rewarded for previous time.(all this without taking any prices into account, cc or credits) Just an alternate perspective though.
  9. Basically the loot roll in a traditional pug group, unless otherwise specified, is this: NEED rolls are used only on gear that your character can personally use, and that is better then the gear you are currently wearing. GREED rolls are used for alts, companions, off-spec(Unless nobody else needs, and permission is given by others to take), and for removing mods and such. DISASSEMBLE rolls are used for materials, and should only be chosen if absolutely nobody else can use the gear.(This roll is equal to a Greed roll in the system. PASSing is done when one has no desire or need for the piece in question. Some more notes. Some groups end game do use a system where if one player wins a specific piece of gear(Such as Arkanian in sm ops), they cannot roll a need on other pieces of gear in that same instance. Please respect this, as it is an agreed upon alternative used by a multitude of groups. -DoitiEtok
  10. Well, obviously my first post wasn't well liked. So I'm gonna try something else. Instead of your randomly pick a map and hope 15 or so other players are on at the same time who also picked it, but hope its not slightly higher so that you don't get in(Which would also happen if you could eliminate maps, because the system doesn't actually choose the map until the players are there, so a game can start. Instead what It may do is instead find the players to form each team, and once they agree to join, start a silent vote. The map voted for most would get in. However, you still wouldn't play every match. and as such there would still be people who wouldn't ever get to play on a map they liked. In the end, its you vs everyone in this mmo, huh? Either I get what I want and you don't, or nobody is happy.
  11. The reason they kept it out is completely sound. Just because you hate Hutt Ball doesn't mean everyone does. But by adding the ability to choose, you can get people that will want to play something nobody else would, thus leading to people never being able to play something they want to. If you make it completely random, people can play everything, but have no say. Each person plays both what he likes and dislikes. Its a balance
  12. My only question about this, I have a friend who is colorblind. How accessible will this Op be to him. Is there anything that will completely prohibit him from entering?
  13. I'm in the "Every Login" group, but that's because I know there are people who have access to my computer other than me, and I don't want them on my account. Also there are things out there like Teamviewer that allow remote entry to a computer. Sorry to say, I'd rather be completely safe then sorry
  14. Depends on the server. I run an extremely small(2-3 people) guild on Canderous Ordo that is a little like this. When we want to raid, we find other people and raid. The rest of the time we use the guild to either help each other, or just as a social channel that shows up in Green. Also, people like to comment on our guild name, so that's always fun.
