student - wait, i meant nerf herder!
  1. Well, I ended up going the SIS route with my agent. It seemed to fit best, both because of his prior choices and the fact that I put way too much effort into my characters' backstories. So now he's a spy for the Republic! Albeit that he keeps killing Republic people, which bothers me - come on, Bioware, give a little leeway there in cutscenes? All in all, I think it's pretty justified. It was the Sith who wanted you(r character) brainwashed, and the SIS just used it to make sure they didn't get backstabbed.
  2. I love the smuggler and agent storylines! I'm regretting not rolling an agent until now and I HATE the trooper storyline. It's too Mass Effect-y for me - if I want to play Mass Effect, I'm gonna play Mass Effect. The only reason I'm going to play it through is for the achievement.
  3. I finished Taris two nights ago (I'm on Hoth), so finding out the reasons behind the conditioning was pretty cool, albeit upsetting for my agent to find out, I'm sure. I'm still not sure if he'll go SIS or stay Empire or go rogue, since apparently that's an option. He's Light II now, so I *think* going the SIS route is possible - I'm just not sure if it fits or not. After all, coming to the realization that they're only using the conditioning to keep the agent from blabbing to the Empire... with the exception of a certain individual, who seems to just be abusing it I can ALWAYS roll up another agent anyways - I think it's my favorite class
  4. ...joining the SIS in Act 3? I'm playing an agent for the first time, I'm still on Taris - so, Act 2 - and the whole brainwashing thing was spoiled for me before I started (or, well, I spoiled it for myself ) but I didn't realize WHO was doing it until I actually played through. I was planning on having my lightside agent defect to the SIS/Republic, the turning point for him being letting Mia go (since he was told to "dispose" of her.) But now that I've started Act 2, I really can't see justification for an agent defecting. I mean, the brainwashing/conditioning probably wears off/you get rid of it, but still - the SIS was willing to use it against you. Even if it was (I don't know yet) the Empire who put it there, how could you join them? Especially since you come to the SIS as a "defector" in the first place.
  5. I always - ALWAYS - stop that generator thing in Chapter 3 of KotFE. None of my three (soon to be four) characters have chosen to ignore it. All of my Sith Warriors remove Vette's collar. Some have varying reasons to do that, but I can't help it - I think it's wrong, so my characters sort of end up thinking that way, too.
  6. this is the one i've used for figuring out my characters birth years - https://torcommunity.com/guides/game-basics/timeline ? i don't know if it'll help, exactly, but i hope it will! and good luck on your fanfic!!
  7. yeah - some of this stuff is a bit overboard. the best thing to do would be to extend the cxp/xp week another day to a week. which would be great! but they're probably not going to give out free subscription time or cartel coins - they need people buying those. at best, i could see them extending subscription an extra day, to make up for today. but probably not more than that.
  8. corso is the most annoying, at the very least.
  9. my entire family's been playing on and off since launch. i always keep coming back. i've bought cartel coins, expansions, and now am paying for my own subscription. with all the money i've put into it, i think it's definitely worth it - i enjoy playing, i love star wars, and it's fun. i might quit again someday - who knows? - but i'll probably come back.
  10. i have 4 smugglers because i love the class story so much - especially the first and third chapters. there's something nice about playing a character who isn't a jedi or sith, who isn't working for the military, who really has no ties except to their crew. and the crew's great! well, corso can be a bit annoying (especially if you're playing a female smuggler), and i'm definitely biased towards risha (i rolled a male smuggler just to romance her.) my only problem with it is a bet spoiler-y towards the end of act one: i'm also loving imperial agent so far.
  11. i'd be fine with them further boosting the xp week!
  12. because it adds something to the story. most books, tv shows, and movies have romance sideplots in them - so it makes sense to add that to a story driven mmo like swtor.
  13. what about The Bachelorette? vaylin looks for a suitable consort!
  14. an alderaan stronghold would be great - especially for roleplaying opportunities!
