  1. Original post: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=295960. (Closed by admin.) Hi all, I wonder if anyone on the forum is using a Radeon HD 4870, and if it is behaving for them. I am still encountering flickering (small, square) artefacts and freezes (every 10-15 seconds), genuinely making SWTOR unplayable. I've also had two hard reboots, which is why I stopped playing for some time. Drivers are completely up to date, shadows off, bloom off. I guess I'm employing process of elimination, and trying to establish just where the problem is. I'm considering upgrading to a GeForce GTX 560, but I'd need to be confident that: 1. The HD 4870 is giving others graphical/gameplay issues, AND 2. Others using the GTX 560 consistently report no graphical problems. I'd rather not shell out c.£150 and be no better off. Cheers! (Windows 7 Pro x64, 8Gb RAM.) Update: apologies for not posting more detailed specs. And yes, I'm running the latest Catalyst application profiles. DxDiag info: CPU-Z info: Any constructive advice would be appreciated.

  3. The funny thing is I'm fairly sure it was working the way I expected to before the official launch. In other words, if for whatever reason I couldn't use it (class, level, ability etc), then it was removed from the list; exactly what I'd expect from the 'Show Usable' filter. It then started doing absolutely nothing in a subsequent update. And that's why I'm confident it's a bug, not a behavioural issue, as I remember it from when it did work. Just my experience, that's all.
  4. Add another voice of discontent. I've raised a couple of support tickets about this too. To this day I cannot find any real, official acknowledgement from Bioware of what is quite an annoying issue. Please fix this, Bioware!
  5. I also count myself amongst those who would like this fixed ASAP. Seems such a simple bug to fix, too. I'm not really interested in new content yet - I'd be perfectly happy if patch 1.2 only contained bug fixes and performance improvements to the existing content.
  6. Agreed - I'm no coder, but surely it can't be that difficult to fix? Funnily enough I think it was working in the early pre-release days, but it's gotten messed up in the meantime..
  7. Hi guys, I agree with everyone here. I'll be relieved when it's fixed. It was working before the official launch (at least for me), but a subsequent patch must have broken it. It seems such a small thing to whine about, but it would make life much easier when sifting through what kit to buy. Andy.
