  1. This should turn into a poll.
  2. the mark to BH ratio will be extremely uneven, a first come first serve system would not work.
  3. This. Is called logic. I approve.
  4. I hate it when people put this into their "code" You're basically saying, no double-crossing...unless if you want to! Choose one, either take bribes or don't ever take bribes. I choose to take bribes, morality isn't part of it. Either live by honor, credits, or morals. Choose. If you can't then you are no better then your blubbering target that begs for their life.
  5. If only. The more we suggest ideas the more out of reach this seems.
  6. That's too complicated though, the marks to BH ratio would be extremely one sided. So every BH would have a mark open to them. There would have to be some kind of mark that is collectable from the sith side by a class. Maybe smuggler, maybe trooper. Kind of an assassin thing but that would be a bit cheesy. The only thing I can think of is that troopers could assassinate targets. They are commandos after all.
  7. This is a good point, the rewards are directly taken out of the bounty, instead of just being created, this way mass fights arent produced out of a bounty mark. So you would carefully pick your own personal team to assist you in the hunt, and you would share the glory. The only problem is how would the republic have a fair return in this. They would need some kind of money gaining goal as well, maybe just gathered around protecting the mark. But I don't know how that would work.
  8. I don't agree with that at all. I think the best way would to give BH's a natural (and significant) advantage to collecting a bounty. The bounty license would be a good idea, so that way people dont go running around slaughtering people left and right. Then as a bounty hunter if you wanted to hire a couple of friends to help you find and kill your target, that's all your choice. It would make it easier but the cut would be split so it's understandable. The only thing that would be needed is some kind of republic "bounty" counterpart. That way we dont have massive faction switches. EDIT: actually a bounty tag would be even better, you use it once on your bounty target, then you qualify for the bounty. That way people don't just buy a license and go slaughtering left and right. And it would make you choose your time to strike your prey.
  9. Not only that but this would destroy the crafting economy. People would be making tons of money off of each other just by placing an original bounty.
  10. Thats a rough theory I assume. Because that would get really complicated really fast. I guess you could get a credit reward for killing BHs as a bodyguard. But the smuggler and IA wouldn't be able to make alot of money off of that.
  11. Well the being able to choose whether or not you can be bountied is a bit dumb. If you don't want to get murdered in open world PVP maybe you shouldn't be in a PVP server. What would be great is if everyone had their own unique money making PvP quality. That would be hard to come up with but it would make sense. If not that then let bounties be achievable by everyone, but give BHs some sort of advantage. That would make the most sense. This way everyone can participate (because lets be honest ANYONE can kill someone for a bounty), but the BH class would have an easier time doing it. Like they could tell w hat planet they were on or could place information bounties for the republic. etc.
  12. All I know is that if BH specific player bounties come into play there will be raging. And if non BH specific bounties come into play there will be RAGING. The no rifles thing took so much heat. Imagine how pissed our community would be if they let everyone be a bounty hunter. There would be alot to work out though. But good lord would that be a fun time. The prices could even be based on number of kills. Really expensive for like 3 kills or something. Because its not like you lose anything when you die. If you really want someone to suffer you put a mega bounty on their head.
  13. Yes it would take some time to track someone down. I can just imagine the thrill of hunting an actual player down. Hell, you could even pay smugglers for fast info on their locations. But again. I don't think the community would let us do it, they would want something in return. Instead of just letting us have a cool feature they would demand their own.
  14. I think most of us can agree that player bounties would be nice. But it wouldn't be fair, Bioware would have to implement other unique PvP oppurtunities for every single class so we don't get an unfair quest advantage. This would be a very tasking thing to take underway and difficult to balance. BW cares about balance right now, so even if we do get it eventually I don't think it will be anytime soon (IF we do). But yes I agree being able to partake in player bounties would make me never quit this game.
  15. Lol i liked this. That was a clean way to tell everyone to go F themselves. That's what happens with these threads though, people don't take the time to not only fully read the OP's post but fully read everyone else's response. Without that your response is outdated, non-contextual, biased and/or etc. But this is the beauty of the forums, we speculate and post our opinions of a factor in the game, and those who are loyal or just like to argue come up with a counter argument. Be their counter point productive or just ignorant, it helps us come to the final conclusion of how the community feels about the subject. The problem may not be solved today or even ever, but it sets ground on to how many of us feel which and what way. A thread is only violated and corrupted in to not being helpful by flame wars. If we all stay civil and use logic to discuss these posts, only good can come out of it. As a whole, we should strike down the flame warmongers and trolls swiftly and righteously. But keep in mind, just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are against you. *looks down at feet* Oh THERE'S my soap box. My bad.
