  1. No it wasn't. Descent 1 was Doom with truly 3D z-axis gameplay. The ship hovered stationary and you controlled all three axes and thrust. You must be confusing it with something else.
  2. I hate power windows, the motors go bad after a few years and beyond the inconvenience of not being able to use drive-thru fast food, they can cost $300-400 to replace.
  3. If you change your scout thrusters to the turn speed model and upgrade it, you get like a 12% tighter turn on the stock scout, plus another 10% at the bottom of your Barrel Roll's(or your missile dodge of choice) upgrade tree. The tweaks are there and you should handle pretty differently from other ships as you personalize your build. I didn't get to play Descent Freespace, but the controls feel very similar in my memories to Descent 1.
  4. I can see the reasoning behind that, but it only takes 15 games on average to buy and max an individual component, Less if you only do daily bonus flights & spend built up fleet req.
  5. Now what, going to pimp your steam profile or something?
  6. why, when you can buy every upgrade and swap them out anytime in your hangar?
  7. 1. it's a technical hurdle BioWare couldn't get over in time 2. Players with flight sticks and whatnot could have "an unfair advantage" and bad players would complain about it.
  8. pretty easy, craft and sell your wares to make money low level, mission rewards are low until max level.
  9. Only 5½ of your bullet points weren't in launch. But I get your point, the game might have had a stabler subscriber base if it had launched in a better state.
  10. Don't give any Cartel ideas!!! Looking forward to that gameplay mode as well.
  11. on the topic of unusual scores, I had a game where we won 1000:999 because we took back one satellite at just the right time and held 2 to 1. I could see the number would be in our favor long run while we were still in the 750s, but the whole team was pretty psyched when it actually played out and that was the first time I saw chat light up in a GS match.
  12. Should be easy to place, for example there's only 70 powertech that do grouped ranked. around 100 do solo queue.
  13. BioWare devs confirmed for pooping their own pants.
  14. I believe it's the line/reticle showing where to fire to hit the ship because it shows where they're going to be by the time your blasters actually travel to that point. I notice some enemies have it, some don't regardless of if they're targetted specifically or not. I guess you could call it the 'helper target' too.
