  1. You should get 4 medals for healing only. 75k 300k 2,5k heal and 5k heal.
  2. Biochem can make BoE pots, medpacs and stims but these are VERY expensive. No chance that raiders can afford these for just credits. And Cybertech CANNOT make implants. They can make ear pieces. Biochem is the crewskill for implants.
  3. I might as well break the ice and tell you that there are only 3 professions that are useful at lvl 50. Armortech, Synthweaving and Biochem. Biochem is by far the best one at level 50. But not so good when you level up. Synth and armortech are good throughout the game (my mate has always had full epic gear when leveling his vanguard). Synth and armortech give you the best bracers and belt in the game by far that cannot be obtained by anyon else. They are rating 140, which people can obtain from hardmode/nightmare mode operations. But these you craft can crit and have an augment making them the best in the game by far. Since you can add a stat of your own choice for example 30 + willpower or 30 + crit. Biochem gives you unlimited adrenals that are basicly super trinkets that you can use at the same time as your other ones. (one gives 585 power for example). And there are multiple choices like surge, crit, absorb, power etc. Unlimited stims which give 136 of a main stat + 58 power or defence. Finlly an unlimited medpac with 1min 30 sec cd that heals 5-6k and an additional 2,2k over 15 secs. All others, as people have mentioned, create worse items than you can get from daily quests at 50. And about making money from crewskills? Nah, not really. I sell 49 epic implants, basicly as good as it gets before hardmode flashpoints or lucked out champions implants and these sell for measly 50k. Thats 15 min of dailies. I mean a repair for my sage is about 30-40k.
  4. OP it seems you are missing out on the fact that you can create BEST IN SLOT bracers and belt. BY FAR the best in slot in fact. You only need a biometric alloy. The reason these are so ridiculously good (besides of having the highest rating equivalent of best raiding gear) is because you can crit on them and get an augment. So 140 rating bracers and belt with an augment slot. *********** sick.
  5. Obviously the OP has no idea what is useful when you hit 50. I have a 50 sage, right now In full epic gear. Given it's a match between PvP and PvE but 3/5 champions and 3/5 columni. I have biochem. This is by far the best profession. No sweat about it. So how have I come to this conclusion? In my guild we have people with all the different profession maxed out. The worst one so far seems to be artifice. You can craft relics and offhands (shields etc) and all of these are much worse than the PvP ones you can easily obtain and also worse than hardmode flashpoints drops. The items you create without any special patterns, meaning those the trainer gives you for free are 126 rating. Same deal with armstech. Synthweaving and Armortech are actually pretty decent because they give you 140 rating, meaning the highest rating atm, bracers and belt that only need one biometric alloy each. So what does biochem give that is so great? Where do I start? First of an unlimited flask. This flask gives 136 willpower and 58(?) power. Forever. Compared to my mates bracers and belt I only lose endurance. And not too much either. Then you have the adrenals. Are these mad or what? It's basicly a free aditional trinket that you can use at the same time as your trinket. So I use my power tech adrenal and gain 585 power and then I pop my trinket for an 250 more. Still not convinced? Ok then you have an medpac that heals 5-6k and an additional 2,2k over 15 seconds. All of these patterns are given to you by your trainer (albeit a bit pricy) and you only need one biometric alloy each. So... UNLIMITED great statboost (flask) UNLIMITED super trinket, and an UNLIMITED super medpac. Can you ask for more? I don't think so. As a side note: Biochem is practically worthless when you level up. I never found a use for the pots etc. But once you hit 50 and you can craft the Rakata items (the ones i wrote about) it becomes the ultimate profession.
  6. So in addition i want to add that most of you people are just talking so much ********. "You should dps, bla bla bla" "You should not only heal" "You are more than a healer, try dpsing" So I'm a very experienced WoW Arena player with a rating of 2,7k the last season just to give you a slight idea if you have played the mentioned game. When I enter a Warzone with my lvl 50 Sage with almost full Champion gear I basicly heal from start to end. Go to a Civil war match against an equal team fighting for the middle and please explain to me how you manage to find time to DPS when you fight for a good 3 minutes where you have to spam heal everyone. I use 100% of my cast time, my force and everything to keep people alive. I use stuns, and I do dot people just so i get credit for the kill. Sometimes this is impossible like the scenario above. Getting a killing blow is easy but it's not a part of my role. Most of you that write that you should dps are playing a game where they aren't healing. There are few situations where your DPS is more valuable than your healing. Maybe a 1v2 situation where you partner is topped, or where everyone is topped off. But this usually means you are zerging someones face and you won't get much damage off anyway because its 3 other people killing them. I usually get 5 to 8 medals each game, a few games its 4 but not to often. Every time I get more than 3 is when I go out of my way. Meaning I aim for the medals intentionally instead of just healing. The 3 medals healers get are just not enough and getting 300k healing is dependant on the match length.
  7. You should indeed get kills for the kills people get when you heal them. I just healed for 480k in Voidstar. One of my mates got 42 kills and I was with him all the time... And I dont get the 25 kills medal. http://imageshack.us/f/851/swtor2011123005394702.jpg/
  8. Champion gear not working in PvE is ********. Me and my mates have 1-2 Columni and the rest is pvp gear and we have cleared every HM flashpoint so far. It just a question about your setup, your skills or your approach to the fight. For example the hardest enrage timer we have had so far is The Bulwark in Directive 7. Even when we down the shield within 1 second and kill the repair bots all 4 of us, and ignore the last 2 he still Enrages at 60k hp-ish. Out of 300/400k, cant remember. The biggest problem we face is our **** setup. Sage healer, Guardian tank, Sentinel DPS and Shadow DPS. So 2 buffs and 3 melee. If we can do it so can other people in PvP gear.
  9. Will there be any? I feel they are needed to create a good healthy MMO community.
  10. At level 35 with balance spec I have such DPS output that people dont question my spec. As previously stated, make it official what you are going to play when you join the party. I havn't had the problem where the party leader assumed I was a healer per sé.
  11. I stopped using my saber at level 10 and now at level 35 its just been a nice visual glowstick. I don't mind that it isn't put to use. Just activating the saber during a fight is so epic.
  12. I am afraid over the fact that Bioware doesn't reply. It is obvious this is a problem they are not used to having because its their first MMO. Raid frames not updating in pvp is a joke. Even since the earliest betas this has been presistent. And not to mention the latency lag issue in pvp. When I first entered huttball in the beta and i felt that my instant cast had a 2-4 sec cast time and people warped around me. And while we are at it what the hell is wrong with the "air lifts". Most random thing in the Warzone so far. I don't know if im just a retard but I can never figure them out. Two people run at the same speed from the same direction and jump (if jumping even matters) and one of them gets to the enemy platform while one gets knocked back.
  13. I dont understand how some people dont feel the latency issues from the WZ's. Your fine senses must be non-existent or you havnt played pvp with any modest skills. With 30 fps and 50 ping from cast to finish it takes me about 4-6 seconds for my Jedi Sage to cast his 3 sec heal. Even after the heal animation and cast bar are over it takes ATLEAST 1 second for the effect go come into effect. And this happened in the beta as well. If peple dont notice this they are the exception. Amongst 10 or so friends that live in different areas in Europe nobody has a lag-free experience. And I don't mean FPS "lag". I mean having fine ping <100 for example but having a real ping that should calculate to around 2000ms because thats how it feels when you play.

    PvP Problems

Should be made into a sticky.
  15. 1) To be honest people were so set on leveling or playing warzones that I felt this was non-existent. I can forecast that this type of camping wont happen that often in the first few weeks due to people wanting to level even further but might, as in any game, come up later. 2) Unforunately no. As mentioned earler nobody had the patience to create such an event. Most PvP happened in the Warzones except for some few skirmishes on the planets. 3) Almost everyone was traveling alone. I saw very very few people going about in groups. And if they did it was easy to call for backup. 4) The AI attack the person that engaged them first or has gained aggro. No discrimination except if they are faction-bound. I.e guards. Example: Player A attacks mob X. Then Player B comes and attacks player A. Mob X will still hit player A until; 1)It dies 2)You run away from it 3)Player B heal himself or damagesMob X somehow, for example an AOE ability. Hope this answers your questions;)
