  1. wow it lasted a whole 5 minutes on the general forum, they must be really scared for their job!
  2. I have to share this... I know it wont last long up here. But congrats tot he happy few who get it before the inquisition steps in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBiLAy7mDbw
  3. I'm not resubbing, Can't motivate myself to play, and I find reading the forums more entertaining. Even re-installed some old games like ETW which I find more fun than this. Main reasons: - static world, static mobs, the world doesnt feel alive and is not compelling. I don't feel like I am a part of it. - game designed primarily for solo story oriented gameplay, which is fin untill you've finished the story, or a coupl of them, or 3... but then the rest of the content (80% of it is repetition when you are playing an alt - end game: mmmm dailies... did I mention I hate dailies? - lack of flavour, where are the Bounty Hunters bounty boards? the smugglers smuggling missions? the crafted cultural (ie planet styled) armour - no world PVP to speak of - space combat was fun for a whole hour, now I find Moon breakers more fun because at least it's multiplayer. And no, Moon breakers is not great, by far... but already it's so much better than TOR space combat. - crafting is cookie cutter, crew skills are an interesting idea, but crafting and players do not drive the economy when the best gear is purely achieved with commendations and operations. - can't find group to do Flashpoints as I level, or Heroic 4... I play a MMO to play with others, not on my own. Surely I will give it another go if I see that there are significant progress in these areas. Maybe a space expansion by Xmas?
  4. TOR does not have the foundations of a sandbox game, and as much as I love the idea, I do not believe it will really become one. However, there are directions and developments that can add to the game: Dynamic - Scaleable events, a la GW2, some interesting ideas to take there - A more lively world, with mobs that move, day/night cycles, events like the rakghoul plague - replayability: imagine, on top of the previous point, a level 50 version of all the planets. That would give you a reason to revisit the galaxy but in a different context. Keep some key NPCs for continuity, add some quests to continue the planet's story. Same territory, but different time. Depth: - Add activities that are not just raiding and combat, fishing even, minigames, races Multiplayer: - More non instanced 'heroic' fighting grounds, possibly with a PVP element. Economy and crafting: - probably the easiest to implement sand boxy element. Make crafting the top source of high end gear, where control of the areas producing the needed rare materials is key. Could be clearing up a mine, fighting off an invasion, to gain access fora period of time. Again possible PVE and PVP aspects. Space: - I have a strong feeling that space combat revamp might come as an extension, to give it the scale required to really make a difference. I wouldnt hold my breath for now, but a full space combat extension by the end of the year (Xmas 2012?) might be where it's at.
  5. someone said I am hapy so are 1.3 million subscribers... well I bet this figure is going down to 600K top very soon. my guild had 20+ online at peak time, since the release of D3, it's 5 or 6 online except on the ops night. We used to have people sit out of ops night, now we had to PUG a dps to complete the team, yes it's that bad. I play a mmo to play with other people, right now, I am tempted to revert to a single player game just so I don't have expctations. or maybe move to another game.
  6. I don't think that's coming anytime soon. And consdering the state of the game I don't think I 'll be there to see it
  7. make the drops a lottery which will give you items you need, and you are the onyl one who can loot it.
  8. this is proof that the forums are more fun than the game itself and if such a gm exists, he should be expelled from the game, without notice, I'd like a pic of him collecting his personal belongings from his desk on the way out.
  9. this makes me feel feel like rolling on a PVP server just so I can be banned for PVP ing in a PVP area on a PVP server. someone here ahs been digging a very deep hole for themself to come out of. now, will it be salt of sugar pop corn...
  10. thats it, and theres f2p games coming out that appear to be at least as good, and probably better than this. Paying for 1.2 was a waste of my money I will not pay for 1.3 , might check in again at 1.5 if space combat is implemented ( I mean space combat not rail shooter)
  11. servers with less than 1000 people can be considered dead... oh wait that's almost all of them?
  12. 'trust' and 'Bioware' in the same sentence? Surely it's a mistake?
  13. welll, if you log into a MMO and see 72 players on your server you'd better hope you are on a private server, otherwise you know you are on a dead end, which is what SWTOR is right now.
  14. well this sums it up... quit drooling because its a waste of saliva. I suggest you find something else to drool on, because here, it will be wasted.
  15. ah but no.. same place and mirror stories for 80% of it changing faction will make you blind to this for a while until you realise that even most of the side quests are mirrors of the ones you did on theother side. only the class story changes, but it is a tiny fragment of the levelling experience
