  1. I was referring to the fact that you beat me, time wise, as I thought I may be of the minority where I had not received the code, but did get my retail box. Having received the retail box 3 days ago, you "beat" me on that one.
  2. A threat is more or less an intent communicated to another party with the purpose to inflict some form of loss or harm. Not sure where you see in my comments I am threatening anyone with anything; I am merely 1) alerting people that their retail boxes are arriving today (Gamestop + Amazon) and 2) noting the irony of the whole situation where I have received my retail box (originally scheduled for the 20th) prior to my early access. If you are merely trying to flex your cyber muscles that you ordered this game in July go ahead and be proud...Myself, I prefer to make an educated decision on where I spend my money and had waited to hear more news about this game and GW2's release. Good day.
  3. I received my CEs before the Early Access Code...oh the irony...Thought I would share as my other thread from last night fell into the abyss. Gamestop and Amazon are shipping out retail boxes and they should arrive today at your house so watch the door or risk a "Jingle All the Way" issue
  4. You are correct...to a degree...BUT the IP for this game (SWTOR) carries huge amounts of weight.
  5. Aye, I was surprised myself. Do you think it is due to cancellations or more copies?
  6. My thoughts from another thread: "Only thing I could think of was that they wanted more concrete subscription numbers for end of the quarter reports to stockholders. Granted a free month to everyone will yield no revenue, the numbers will at least ease stockholders' minds as they clamor for a return on investment from that $300 million development budget." OR "That is a good point. Perhaps, with next week being the busiest mailing week of the year, they wanted to avoid a PR meltdown if people got their retail boxes late after launch..."
  7. I think UO should be on top because it started the genre's popularity. The PVP in that game was fabulous and the PVE was on par as well. An all around great game that is still played. Great Lakes shard ftw.
  8. Odd, I received an email stating it was shipped. Either way, glad this helped. These days, it may not be wise to leave SWTOR on your doorstep or you may have a "Jingle All the Way" issue.
  9. That is a good point. Perhaps, with next week being the busiest mailing week of the year, they wanted to avoid a PR meltdown if people got their retail boxes late after launch...
  10. Yup, I get the actual retail box that was supposed to arrive on December 20th. Statute, map, retail code, etc.
  11. I am still curious about this sudden change; though I am happy Only thing I could think of was that they wanted more concrete subscription numbers for end of the quarter reports to stockholders. Granted a free month to everyone will yield no revenue, the numbers will at least ease stockholders' minds as they clamor for a return on investment from that $300 million development budget.
  12. UO aka Ultima Online? Asheron's Call?
