  1. I was wondering if there are any NiM raid teams out there that still do this? I have a PT tank I want Wings for. I've done the Brontos NiM before on PT/VG. I have Wings on my pub toons from when my guild still played. I even have Gate Crasher title on my imp toon, but never got lucky enough to win wings on it. Anyhow if there is a team out there that could still do it, let me know. When can talk about time, dates, and credits, etc....
  2. A lot of people have different suggestions about How to improve PT/VG tanks. I think we can all agree they deserve a little bit more love and tlc. Maybe in 6.0
  3. I love PT/VG tanks. I was playing them since 1.0 as my main. They've been buffed and nerfed over the years. But they've been pretty weak in 5.0 compared to their force-user counterparts (especially sins/shadows). Here are 3 ways they could improve VG/PT tanking trees to make them competitive again with the other 2 classess. 1. Give Reserve Powercell/Thermal Sensory Override just a minute (instead of 2min) CD timer, and add to it a cleanse effect. This would compete with Endure Pain and Shroud's cleansing effects. To those who complain that the tank getting 1 energy free attack each minute isn't fair. Who cares? Since when are tanks worried energy management in this game. It won't change their already nerfed dps much. 2. Let Shield Cannon/Guard Cannon heal you for 5% not 3% per each missile used. Tanks only get 4 missiles in our Shoulder Cannons anyhow, so that would mean getting 20% of HP back instead of 12%. This still doesn't compete with a Focus Defense, but it is still better than what we have now. To prevent the VG/PT dps from taking advantage of the heal with their more missiles. Keep the 3% heal in the utility the same, just add a 2% bonus in the tanking tree (totally 5%). That will keep the 2 dps specs from exploiting the extra healing in PVP and what not. 3. The more controversial option is give VG/PT a version of Echoing Deterrence/ Responsive Safeguards like their mando counterparts. It could function in the same way as saber reflect. Last for 5-6 seconds and generate a lot of threat, instead of healing you each time an attack is reflected like the merc version. Summarizing, keep the reflect ability, and just swap the passive heal out for more threat gen in the tank's version of it. I think these three changes, or some similar utilities would make this tank comparable to the many DCDs and new utilities that the force-user tanks have had for a while now without breaking them or making them OP.
  4. due to lack of interest. I guess its cancelled.
  5. I was thinking about trying to get an 16m NIM TFB achievement run (not a title run) together this Sat 10th at around 7pm EST on imp side most likely (not apposed to pub though), if i could get enough interested good players who would want to run it. That be awesome. I am a tank and have like 96% Operation completed, but i am still missing these achievements in 16m (I have the 8m TFB NiM achvs though in case anyone was curious). For whatever reason, I never got around to it back in the day. So, if I could get enough interested players and/or guilds that would be cool. If you want to get these achvos and/or just wanted to run some challenging content, let me know. Either respond to this threat or just hit me up on Imp Side by PMing or Mailing a message to Feridis or Feridette on Pub side. I know its a little last min, but it could be fun too. My Prerequisite: 1. Raiders Must have Discord, StarParse, and a computer that can run 16m 2. Must be geared (248 preferred, but 242 minimum) and know how to play your class. 3. Must have completed TFB HM 8 or 16 prior to this. Any previous TFB NiM experienced would be nice too. Most of the mechanics are HM, but enhanced for NiM. I don't want to explain HM mechanics alright. So, NO story mode all stars please. 4. It's a pug, so patience, if we wipe a few times. 5. If you're not familiar, with the fights on NiM, you should watch some kill videos of them on Youtube before.
  6. You guys are getting ridiculous (and greedy). It is stupid that it cost so much to simply move a toon.
  7. JC is down again. Just like a few nights ago. Sigh.
  8. Ferid here from Crimson Sky on JC. I sent a few tanks over to harb and am looking for a good guild for them. I am like 99% on all operations. Not looking for raid team spot, but a place to help a good guild now and then clear NiM or HM content in the evening either on Imp or Pub side.
  9. This is a pay to play single player game now, F the MMO and raiding community. The death of SWTOR as an MMORPG is official. Thanks Eric!
  10. The vanguard has always lacked extra cooldowns compared to the other tank classes, and I am ok with that because they are so good at mitigating dmg. With that said, I would like set bonus that lowers the cool down times on Reactive Shield and Battle Focus (Since the 3.0, I've used it more as a Defensive CD since the 40% def chance). So maybe find a way to take 30 secs off timer for each in tank spec bringing both from 2mins down to 90 secs each. Just a thought.
  11. When I saw this post this morning it had only 8 pages and now its over 50 pages of mostly anger at these latest updates. I hope BW and the devs take notice that ppl are not happy about this. We want new ops not stories (not even class story, just 1 size fits all story). Who is going to pay 15 bucks a month to play single player RPG ("Kotor3"). When we want to play an MMO that means end game progression. How is that hard to understand?
  12. Like everyone I am was very disappointed when i woke up to read NO new OPS for a long long time, but rather we're just getting all the old ops recycled and up-scaled. Instead of ranting like i really wanted to do. Here is my opinion for what Bioware should have done with all this fallen empire expansion stuff and how it relates to PVE in a balanced sort of way. Step 1: Release only 1 new OP, standard 5 bosses, in SM and HM (Wait for 3-4 months then release a NiM version). In addition, update and scale the oldest 50 ops (ec, ev, and kp) to the new 65 level for like 6 months. (the nim version being part of that 6 month period, not in addition too) Step 2: After 6 months, release the 2nd New op, which ties into the first one story-wise, in SM and HM versions. At the same time, Release the four old 55 ops scaled up the new level cap. Step 3: Wait 3 or 4 more months and then release the NiM version of the 2nd new operation and the level 65 versions of TOS and Rav. Step 4: Create a new operation storyline for 5.0 :-) That's It. I think my solution would have been a fair and reasonable compromise for both players and programmers. Sure ppl will complain, but when don't they. That's my two cents. If anyone has a more reasonable approach let me (and particularly BW) know.
