  1. Dear Sirs! In the early days of vanilla, when Malavai Quinn did what he did... You know... THAT thing... You had the option to kill him. In those days he was the primary healing companion and players who sucked at the game usually believed he was the only healing companion and thus they cried very loudly about not having a healer (Even though they did...) after killing him. Sadly, you caved to their incessant complaining and changed the storyline so that you no longer could kill the puny worm. Now that any companion can be a healer, could we remove that plot armor from him? Also, could those of us who reluctantly had to only slap him around a bit when we passed that point in the story get to kill him retroactively? Please? I imagine a pop-up conversation on the ship where he goes "Yes, my Lord?" and we get to chose between "Oh, nothing, never mind." and "Come here a sec... (Kill Malavai Quinn)" Please? Pretty please with a cherry on top? 🙂
  2. So... Can we have a baby yoda pet, please? Doesn't have to be companion, vanity pet works fine. Asking for a bounty hunter friend...
  3. Toku'Kara'Shi Kara, among friends. Imperial sniper, moonshining as a bounty hunter. So, BH with a big *** rifle... I don't really speak japanese so I'm completely in the hands of Google translate, but it should mean something in the vicinity of "Death from a distance". (Don't tell me if it doesn't! I can't change it now! ) Here she is (Link to picture of Kara): https://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.enjin.com/wall_embed_images/1535451190_Kara.jpg
  4. Tuesday evening now. Still no working launcher. Tried the troubleshooting on https://help.ea.com/se/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-launcher-troubleshooting-guide/ Had no effect. My launcher still stops at "Verifying 0%" How are the rest of you doing? Can you get into the game or is this a general issue?
  5. Adding another timestamp here. Looks like this has been an issue since sunday. Monday evening now. For me, the patcher stops at "Verifying 0%". No error message, no way to bypass or ignore. Play button all grayed out. Still no notification that you've addressed the issue. Nothing on facebook, nothing on twitter, nothing on swtor.com. Are you aware? Do you care? Will the game ever work again?
  6. A Mandalorian clan sounds very cool, but it also feels like I would have to know a lot of Manda-lore (pun intended) to not botch it when playing? I've played the bounty hunter storyline and watched the first two episodes of The Mandalorian (Disney+)... Think I'd be fine or should I read up on some stuff before dipping my toe in that?
  7. Yes! Awesome! That was exactly it. The solution worked like a charm. Thank you kindly!
  8. Background/terrain detail flickering back and forth Anyone else having that? It's like there's an anoying kid standing at the Terrain-Graphics-detail-switch flickering in on and off and on again. Insanely annoying. Is it a known bug and can I deal with it by altering my graphics setting in any way? I've tried Ultra , very high and high graphics setting. but it's the same on all. (Not going lower than high, cause... euch...)
  9. Using the stronghold is a really good idea, SteveTheCynic! Can't view your photo though. Photobucket says: "Sorry, the requested page does not exist."
  10. Dear Sirs! I'd like to take a group photo of my hero along with his/her crew. Maybe with a few choices of backdrop even? Could you make this happen, please? xoxo //Jeffersson
  11. Hi! Playing a trooper with an assault cannon. Really nice weapon! It's just that whenever YOU choose what weapon to draw, (Cutscenes where I threaten or shoot at someone), you always pick my sidearm. A puny little sidearm, when I HAVE AN ASSAULTCANNON! It looks silly and it seems dumb. Could you please stop that? I love my assaultcannon. Please let me use it.
  12. Solid advice, josephxp! I opened my computer up, removed the graphics card, and when I was about to clean it one of the fans fell off. Turns out the shaft was broken and it was only held in place by the magnets. Think we have a winner. Gonna try to fix it, but I'm guessing I might be heading to the store tomorrow. Anyway, thanks! Spot on!
  13. Lately I've been having issues playing SWTOR. After about 15 minutes of playtime or so, my screens goes black and the computer crashes. I have to cut the power to restart it. First I thought "oh no, my graphics card is getting overheated, or perhaps it's the HDD. Time to do some upgrades", but then I played The Secret World and Elder Scrolls Online for about 4 hours straight without a hitch, so it would seem it only happens when playing SWTOR. Anyone else had this problem? Did you solve it? What did you do? Right now, my only option seems to be: Don't play SWTOR and that's a bit of a bummer...
  14. In times like these, the 30 second delay between reporting players who advertise their referal links in here is way too long. Really. Set it to 1 or 2 seconds so we can keep more of an even stride with them, please.
  15. Hi! I read that companions would not be needing gear in the future. They would automatically follow the players level. So gear would just be used to make them look like you want. This scares me, cause it looks a lot like what Blizzard did to WoW. Like the hunter: I loved playing hunter in vanilla WoW. You tamed a pet and the pet had skills, but in order to teach your pet better skills you had to tame higher level pets that had those skills, learn them from the pet and then teach them to your pet. You also had to stock up on arrows, choose the right arrow for the right job. If you didn't treat your pet well, it would start to dislike you up until it simply left you. It wasn't easy, but it was fun! Also: The difference between a hunter who learned to play the class and put effort into honing their ammo and pet, and a hunter who "mashed random buttons" was enormous. But they made the game easier and easier. Now, pets are automatically loyal, they get all skills, they have the same stats, bows magically always have arrows and so on and so forth. Now the difference between players isn't that big anymore, because so much that were depending on the players skill and efforts are now automatic. Class nearly plays itself, to be honest... Please don't keep going down this path, Bioware. Please don't reduce the options to do good or bad decisions as a player. Don't make the game easier because some players whine about something being "too hard". Let them rise to the challenge and be proud of the struggle instead of carrying them forward. Let the game reward skill and effort, rather than smoothing out any differences between the casual and the dedicated player.
