  1. on a scale of one to ten my excitement level is ... a low meh this game needs a new raid like yesterday also give smugglers back their fly by's while were at fixing everything
  2. no but they can at least help out. running dailies and solo heroics missions on my healer was at least tolerable back in the fly by days. Running ops they are multiple timers when a large group of adds will spawn, and casting a flyby in between healing rotation was FUN. Every other healing class in game has the ability to drop down an aoe. smugglers and operatives didn't have the best aoe in game by far, but to pick just one advanced class out of the 8 and say that they have no right to be able to use an aoe skill, especially when it is their legacy trademark skill, is insane fly by was nerfed into oblivion and it never did MEGA DAMAGE, if you don't want to use it that's fine, but from a smuggler that used to havethe skill the class has felt broken ever since it's been gone
  3. and if they gave us back our fly by we would suddenly become a viable aoe class? there was exactly zero reason to remove this skill so there really isn't a single reason not to give it back

  5. that's what i love about these high school girls man, i keep getting older but they stay the same age but seriously mathew mcconaughey told me he got moved to the mass effect project
  6. at least you didn't loose in game items and raid drops if it's just a server restart it shouldn't take too too long hoping 10 to 20 min tops, but then again they might need to run to the pet store for a new hamster?

  8. no its not, its borderline retarded thematically your telling me in a world with telekinetic laser sword wielding space ninjas that the guy who has no force powers, no laser sword and wears no armor should be most adept at running in to fights to punch and stab at point blank range? That's suicidal at best and one hell of a stretch to say that we wouldn't try to use tech gadgets and dirty tricks like oh say an orbital strike from afar. No AOE operatives is just a copy paste from WOW templates that has exactly zero place in the star wars universe, it's our freeking legacy skill for crying out loud. the skill that used to define us thematically. when han solo meets vader in bespin just imagine how that fight would go if solo decides to rush vader and start throwing punches, lol. When he is on endor how dose he get into the shield bunker, he calls in an orbital strike from chewwie in the at-st, he doesn't stab the door down. every single advanced class in the game has a viable aoe option except one, we used to be on a level potential playing field but not any more and it really shows in places like the heroic 2 star fortress and any ops pull with lots of adds
  9. RE influence making things better so i haven't had the time to get any of my companions affection maxed out but i have some friends with influence level 50 companions. So tonight we compared healing out put on a level 10 comp vs a level 50 comp and guess what? 50 levels of influence dose exactly 200ish points difference on the one HoT heal tick and did absolutely nothing to all the other abilities. outside of the heal over time all the other heals were exactly the same at influence 1 as influence 50. this might be a bug or at this point who knows?
  10. using a healing companion dose nothing but slow you down and make it far more likely that you will die ( that sounds counter intuitive dosn't it? ) Something is borked in the healing AI script as like many have claimed they just stop healing at times and can't seem to keep up with incoming damage and this doesn't mix well with the nerfed healing output. The makeb heroics are doable with a healer comp but they are at their most frustrating in this set up. There is that one champion droid boss at the end of the ark ship that i felt i had to use ashara as a healer to complete it, other than that fight i did not ever put her in healer stance if i did not have to. in dps stance ashara finishes each pull at around 20% to 50% health and its a mad race to clear each pull before she folds. i'll start with both of us bubbled and hots rolling. After each pull rest up and wait for CC cooldowns to come around. Even with my off healing she ended up dieing a few times but i was mostly able to get through each pull like this. Again it was doable but not much fun i preferred her to be in tank stance which made things take a little longer but i wasn't as worried about having her die to spike damage as much and i could just focus more on my rotation. Something is defiantly broken with the tanking skills. Using leap to pull with her she just jumps in place without moving and the mobs aggro 20 meters away, then she walk over to them to start dpsing and by this time i have pulled threat back off her. The radius of the multi grapple skill is bananas so i have it untoggled and will use it on demand as a clicky. sometimes she will pull mobs from a different time zone on top of me and when the packs are 2 golds and 4 silvers that can hurt. But even manually triggering this skill she would sometimes use it right away, sometime wait for few seconds, sometimes stand around and do nothing or sometimes just ignore my commands completely. If i healed her full time she would eventually get back threat and we could make our way through the heroics. It was doable but not much fun. as a player i'm here for the ops and the pvp so i really don't use my companions all that much outside of grinding dailies for credits and or rep once and a while. What i notice most about this patch is that the grind seems to have gotten a hole lot more grindyer. There are no new warzones and no new ops in sight so once your through the story line chapters all you have left is the alliance grind. This was fun and enjoyable last week as something to do while waiting for your raid team to log on and go clear out some heroics on some forgotten planet. I can fairly safely say that i will never go back to makeb for the 4 or 5 alliance boxes as the effort for clearing these heroics dose not match up with the current reward. It's not worth the time. and to the impossible list i would add the gas chamber in the library on makeb. using heroic moment + phase walk + healing companion + force speed is no where near enough, if anyone has soloed this room i would tip my hat to you but that's one where you need a friend or it is not happening also tonight on balmora it was an absolute lag fest as the bodies of the dead corpse are not disappearing and the ability delay was crippling as my computer tries to render 1000's of dead bugs wall to wall waist deep.

  12. companion affection rep grind we now have 60 some companions who can all have affection go up to level 50 that's one hell of a comms sink
