  1. I'm shocked this hasn't been implemented yet. It shouldn't take the developers years to add paid character services. Yes it took World of Warcraft a few years before they added this feature but seriously, character services such as; name change, appearance change, sex change, race change. faction change, should be common sense to add at this point. We're the people spending many hours with these characters and we should never be deterred from playing them simply because were tired of looking at them. Minor changes such as haircuts, facial hair, eye color, scars, etc should be in-game currency. Body changes, sex changes, race changes, name changes, legacy name changes, server transfer, should be cartel currency. Faction changes and class changes can be implemented if the devs want it but it is probably to difficult to implement due to story progression. Frankly I don't want to change factions or classes just my characters appearance. Devs can make money from this and players can really enjoy playing their characters. I don't see the harm in any of this.
  2. Just curious if other people want arena matches in this game. Anyone else wanna do 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 matches with some of your buddies?
  3. BW already made the decision to go cross-server warzone queing in 1.2 patch. This will only improve and expand future warzone developments. Want to battle with familiar faces? Que with friends...
  4. I want to know what a server capacity limit is. Yes, I heard the interview where the developer says 80k-100k people. If that were the case, than I would say screw x-server ques, I want to merge servers. I can tell you that I am on a Heavy server and there are probably 2,500 players per faction. Is a capped server 5k per faction?? If so than don't you see a problem which will hinder varied and diverse warzones from development in the future? People complain that x-server queing will cause people to leave warzones more so than they do now. I'm sure BW will install a 15 min penatly debuff for this in the future. People complain that warzones will be less personal. Well isn't that what world pvp is for? And if having 50v50 and 100v100 warzones is too laggy for you... its 2012, get a new computer. How do you deal with Ilum? The SWTOR commercial shows hundreds of Republicans facing off against hundreds of Imperials. I want to do that. If we can't do that than its false advertisment.
  5. That's what arenas are for... Warzones are in a sorry state atm. Why do you think they toss levels 10-49 all together. It would be nice if it was just server based only but there are sever problems with that, hence BW's decision to go cross server queing.
  6. Tired off having level 10-49 all clumped together in warzones? Want more elaborate warzones in the future? Can you imagine having epic 50v50 and 100v100 warzones matches added to this game? Want to be able to que for these in under a minute at 3 am? Well stop wishing because cross server queing is coming and will make this all possible. Don't worry about losing your sense of server community! You can still que with your buddies and that familiar arch nemesis of yours from the opposite faction will still be waiting for you in Ilum. Im positive BW will create more world pvp zones so you can get your server only, faction rumbles on! Warzones are intended to give us fun pvp games in an instant. World pvp is intended to get your familiar faced grudge matches on.
  7. If swtor plans on having epic 50v50 or 100v100 warzone games, than x-server warzones are a necessity. It will be hard to get half the people in the fleet to que and even if you could get that to happen, that's only one warzone match. Try getting a few of those simultaneously. Hate to say it but x-server queing helps people get into fresh full warzones in under a minute regardless if its during peak hours or 3:30 am. It also allows for more elaborate warzones to be thrown into rotations. Only way for server merging to work instead of x-server queing is if servers can handle 25,000 people. Atm I don't know how many people a server can hold but I know its not enough because they group 10-49 leveled characters together in warzones.
  8. My bad, didn't mean to come off like that. I changed my statement to better clarify respectfully. I was getting ticked off because majority of people were assuming that my server is the problem when in fact were all in the same boat here. I don't see very heavy servers anywhere anymore and at peak hours were heavy. Non peak hours were all standard, not light, and yet I still see warzone ques and team matchmaking problematic.
  9. Shadowtown server is actually not much smaller than a heavy server. I want to know what a server population limit is so we can even be sure server mergers will help in the grand scheme of things.
  10. My server shadowtown is actually considered a really good pvp server. That's what concerns me. No one seems to answer my question about the population cap on a server... if there are server mergers I hope the server limit is 10,000 or more. I think they're at 2500, not sure though.
  11. Im on shadowtown pvp server, regardless of Imps out numbering reps, we still manage to win a fair amount of matches. My concerns are that it is the 3rd month of the games release and after 2 am it really is hard to find people doing WZs and to not have the match shut down after 90seconds. Shadowtown is a standard pvp server. I think that's like 800 people reps and imps combined. Im curious how many people a full server has.
  12. I do like the idea of merging servers so you can play with familiar people and names but the hardcore pvper inside wants the opportunity to play against everyone who plays this game. Its a hard choice but I have faith that BW reads everything on these forums and take it all into consideration when they decide for us which will enhance our pvp enjoyment.
  13. I totally agree with you guys on merging servers. I know its more fun to play with people and names you recognize but what's the server cap? I really only see warzones thriving in the future without cross server implications if servers have at least 5000-10000 people on it as well as having better faction balance. Anyone know how many players a full server has? My guess is 2500? I don't really have a clue just guessing.
  14. Just curious about your thoughts on Cross Server Warzones. Many people want this and many people don't. I'll go on the record that I support the decision to implement this. Nonetheless, I understand the negative aspect of this. The reason why I support cross server warzones is due to the fact that after 1-2am, I see the same 6-8 people on my team and its not uncommon for warzones to shut down after 90 secs due to the lack of people. I want to be able to que at 3:30 am and still be able to jump into a fresh full warzone in less than a minute. Plus, when your queing by yourself, I think its nice to have different team members each match so your not stuck with the same scrubs every single warzone for that particular night. It would probably benefit everyone by increasing more balanced win/lose ratios, as opposed to winning or losing all the time. This can be very frustrating at times and even discourage many people away from warzones or rolling Republic (cough) I know people will argue that cross server warzones will make the people you join with seem impersonal but I would argue that you can still que with friends and guildies. Besides, you want to play with people on your server and gank that arch nemesis of yours on the other faction? Well isn't that what Ilum is for? Im sure BW will develope more epic world pvp zones that keep the battles server exclusive. Well that's my thoughts on it and I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this.
  15. As an MMO addict for over a decade, I feel that your public Q&A answered many of the fundemental questions and issues us hardcore fans were concerned about. SWTOR is truly a great MMO. What makes an MMO epic is obviously endgame content. It sounds like you guys are heading in the right direction and making necessary changes and additions for this game to dominate the MMO genre. Thanks for taking the time to listen to all of our suggestions, criticism, etc., and for doing your best to satisfy our requests. Now time for my request... Add arena matches. Thanks! P.S. Implementing cross server Warzones is a wise decision. It may feel less personal for some people but thats what world pvp is for. Can't speak for the rest of the subscribers but, when I play pvp matches, I want to do it when I'm in the mood for it. I don't want to be limited to only enjoying the pvp aspect of the game during peak hours. Some nights after 1 or 2am, I'm usually playing with the same 6-10 people with the probability that the warzone will close due to not enough players on a team.
