  1. The Scrapper originally appeared in what I think is the only permanently retired Event series, Grand Acquisition Race on Nar Shadaa (the model of speeder used in the event quest itself), got it WAAAAAAAAY back on one of my OG characters (back then you couldn't even upgrade speeders past their initial purchase) and thought I'd never get it again. But lo and behold! For Gree, Rakghoul, and Bounty Broker rewards you can earn one!
  2. Consider that the current running conflict beginning with the reemergance of Vitiate's reborn empire has been going on for almost half a century by this point; the first Great Galactic war lasted 28 years until the Treaty of Coruscant, the Cold War for 10, then the game proper begins and has lasted around 15ish more into the Second Great War and the Zakuul wars. The Great Sith War lasted only a single year, the Mandalorian Wars for 16 (after 20 years of relative peace) followed by the Jedi Civil War (3 years) and Dark Wars (5 years), all interspersed with eras of stability. Each is distinct enough in scope and time frame to have different enemy factions and motivations behind them, but the Great Wars have been going almost non-stop for 55 some ish years.
  3. The inquisitors specifically are kneecapped by Vader and Palpatine so that they can never be powerful enough to threaten them. And so it's easier to dispose of them when they screw up or loose their utility. As for the Jedi Order as a whole, their overall power has also been severely curtailed by their isolation and refusal to do their job. Darksiders and Lightsiders both strengthen their connection to their side of the Force by making choices and doing acts that align with said side, IE a Sith growing more powerful with every atrocity they commit and a Jedi doing the same with acts of kindness. This does make it slightly more difficult for Lightsiders since the Force can easily detect sincerity (or lack thereof), so a Jedi doing a good act for the purpose of increasing his power won't have the same effect as a Sith doing the same with evil (as doing something messed up to increase your power is a genuinely evil act by itself). The Jedi of the Rise of the Empire era are nowhere near as powerful as Lucas would have you believe ("Jedi in his prime fighting in the prime of the Jedi), I would actually give that distinction to the Force sensitives of THIS era, ToR's Great Wars era. Both sides have been extremely tempered by the near constant warfare going on.
  4. Not exactly a new player, but I haven't reached any of the Fallen or Eternal content yet because I wanted to wait for characters' LIs to return so I could know who is/isn't safe to flirt with. Shallow, I know. My question is two-fold. 1: Is it possible to load a companion's customization so they will have it during their first introductory cutscene, or is that only applicable on repeat playthroughs of that mission? 2: Do characters have access to customizations of companions outside their class, like if a Knight wanted to use another appearance for Vette, etc? I would appreciate some clarification here, as I am a bit of a scummy alt-aholic and have a couple more characters to go from 1 to 70 before I start the Outlander content. Thank you for your consideration.
  5. This happens with every companion, at least for me.
  6. I've lost every customization and weapon I had equipped on Hk-51 and Treek for the 4 characters that have them. What's weird, however, is that in their cutscene conversations they have them on properly, but do not show up in inventory or anywhere else. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if I hadn't been using exclusive one-time reward skins.
  7. It's also interesting to note that it depends on your definition of "Strength." According to the EU (Legends) "Rule of Two," it was created to foster the gradual increase of stregnth (both physically, mentally, and in the Force) to reach the point where Sidious found himself ("strongest Sith possible). How is this done? Logically, for the apprentice to prove himself stronger than his master he would have to deliberately challenge his master for the title when said master was at his strongest point, not weakest. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that anything has been gained. Sidious never proved himself stronger than Plaguess, he murdered him in his sleep (BEFORE he could teach Sidious how to manipulate life, I'll remind you) which shows a rudimentary level of cunning, but not actual superiority in the terms described by Revan/Bane's "Rule of Two." Palpatine is SHOWN in both the Movie (canon) universe and the Expanded Universe that he is the strongest Sith to exist so far. But not how he got there.
  8. On the characters that had unlocked Treek and had a customization on C2 and the Imperial equivalent, she got the droid's customization in her slot and her previous customization in the mail from recovered items. Also, Andronikus can't equip a second blaster pistol even though he should be able to. Error Message: You are not of the appropriate class to use this item.
  9. I was wondering if anyone could answer this for me. It has been stated multiple times that during the "Fallen Empire" expansion we would be playing as the "Outlander." Someone who is a veteran of the second Great Galactic War. One of the options is for this to be a totally new character immediately leveled to 60 with appropriate class gear and skills. My question is: What happens to existing characters who "become" the Outlander? Do they keep their gear and skills and all the progress that they've made? Thus far I have been left confused as to what effect the expansion will have on pre-existing characters who enter into it. Please and thank you. Shadow Quickpaw.
  10. I'd go for the slight precognition that gives a force-wielder his reflexes and extra-sensory abilities. It's how they feel other people and deflect blaster bolts.
  11. Part of the problem is that Jedi are raised in isolation from the rest of society from as young as two years old. That's... kind of messed up if you think about it. They are never given the chance to be children, to be normal, or to experience life. And most of the time they are given to the order LONG before they have the physical capacity to decide for themselves whether or not they want any of it. They are told their entire lives that the way of the Jedi is the ONLY way, and that any deviation AT ALL will lead to corruption and darkness. So when they do screw up, make mistakes, or act out in defiance, the mindset is: "Well, I'm already done for. Might as well go all the way. Darkside here I come!!!"
  12. I usually start asking if anyone's doing it (if there are more than four people around they're usually there for the daily and are in the same boat as you) as soon as I get there and start organizing while I'm in the middle of doing all the solo stuff. It usually works.
  13. Inquisition? Me too.
  14. It's a phenomenon I'm seeing repeated with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Basically the people who like the game and enjoy playing it are, well, playing it and don't frequent the forums. Whereas the people who don't like the game are here, talking about what they don't like because they've stopped playing the game. How do I know? I remember the years leading up to TOR's release, how busy it was around here. I could debate Jedi Philosophy with Professor Walsh or submit requests in the art section. Compare that to now where I would barely get a reply, or it would take a day or two for someone to get back to me. I knew this was going to happen of course, the main purpose of the forums back then was speculation. Are the people who don't like the game wrong? Not necessarily. They just seem to be more vocal.
