  1. In the room directly across from the main entry room in my Coruscant Stronghold, there is an absolutely incessant metallic squawking sound (That's the best way I can describe it). I have picked up every decoration in that room and in the two adjacent rooms and it still doesn't go away. I visited a few other players' Coruscant Strongholds and I don't hear the sound in any of their strongholds. I'm going completely crazy trying to find and eliminate this sound. It's getting to the point that I don't want to go into this stronghold at all anymore. I can also hear it in the far back left room on the upper floor. I can't find what decoration might be causing it. If anyone is willing to enter my Coruscant Stronghold and take a look around, see if there's any chance you can find the source of it? Or is it possible that only I can hear it, and everyone else with a Coruscant Stronghold also hears the sound in their own stronghold, that nobody else can hear? My Coruscant Stronghold is Breasha's Republic Sanctuary. You should be able to find it on the Coruscant Stronghold directory. It's publicly listed there. Thanks, HollyC EDIT: Thank you to the guild Vode An who pinpointed the culprit as a Skarla Hunter Pet in my stairway. I've picked up the offending decoration and replaced it with something else.
  2. >>Really? I don't remember that, I thought Tenebrae consumed the world like he did Ziost?<< In the solo-story mode, as Zildrogg activates, it says, "Not since I consumed this world have I felt such hunger." I looked through Youtube and couldn't find a video that only shows the whole Gemini 16 Encounter. And you only are shown that background story once per character, Was this a slipup on Bioware's part? I suppose it's possible. But even if it is, exactly how Tenebrae was able to bring Iokath tech to Zakuul remains an unanswered question.
  3. I've been wondering about this since the Nathema Conspiracy back in KOTFE. When the GEMINI droid activates the Zildrogg superweapon (aka the Gravestone), the Zildrogg mind says that it was responsible for consuming Maddrias, Tenebraze's home planet, turning it into Nathema. This would insinuate that even before he took on the personage of Valkorion, Tenebrae had access to Iokath technology. How did he acquire it? And it was never even hinted at, how he gained control of The Eternal Fleet, was it? It sounds like the bulk of Zakuul's "ascendance," if you will, into so advanced a planet that it was able to conquer the rest of the galaxy, was due to Iokath technology. The whole of Zakuul society learned how to use a fair amount of it, well before chapter 1 of KOTFE where the rest of the galaxy encounters them. Was it ever discussed how Tenebrae first acquired Iokath tech? Ever since that FP that ended KOTFE, I've been wondering this, but never got around to asking the community at large.
  4. It didn't even mention a bind timer, there was no message on it when I moused over the mods. I just tried again, this time putting a mod into the armor first. It worked. Thanks.
  5. So why can't the mods themselves be put into the Legacy Vault? That's the part I don't understand.
  6. I unlocked 336 blue (prototype) mods at Hyde & Seek (I don't do heroic mode Ops, certainly not often enough to justify going for 336 purple). Do these bind to LEGACY or to CHARACTER? It says Bound to LEGACY but the game ***ABSOLUTELY*** refused to accept their being put into my legacy vault. There was no message on the mods saying "Will permanently bind," only that they were refundable for x-amount of time, so I got them refunded immediately pending an investigation into the matter. Are you absolutely forced to unlock Hyde & Seek for each individual toon you'd like to gear up? Or are we supposed to only use conquest comm gear on all alts?
  7. After experiencing the endless looping "Searching for Updates" on the launcher file, my launcher now looks like this: ... I get an error message demanding I "upload or insert images from URL" but ABSOLUTELY no instructions on HOW to do this. Anyway, the launcher is "zoomed in" and there is no way to see or otherwise click the controls. I go into the launcher's properties, and there are only five tabs. The "compatibility" tab is MISSING. If I shut the window down and go back into properties, it can take DOZENS of times before I finally get all of the tabs, including "compatibility." I set the compatibility to Windows 8, and this fixes the problem.... TEMPORARILY. The game absolutely absolutely ***ABSOLUTELY*** demands I do this each and every single time I want to play. I have tried each and every single possible fix posted to these boards, about the launcher topic. In absolute and total desperation, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and even THIS did NOT fix the problem. I am reaching the end of my rope and if this is not FIXED, once and for all, very soon, I might as well cancel my subscription because there is no point paying for a game that I am ***ABSOLUTELY*** blocked from playing.
  8. I guess it's my turn to apologize. I tried going into properties one more time and suddenly I saw the compatibility tab. I have no clue WHAT happened or how it seemed to just up and fix itself, but I was able to launch the game.
  9. Please excuse me for being short, but didn't you see that I went into properties and there was ABSOLUTELY *no* "compatibility" tab or option for me?
  10. My properties window for the launcher file doesn't have a "compatibility" option.
  11. I have Windows 11, I go into the file directory, navigate to the launcher file, right click, go to properties, and there is NO "compatibility" option.
  12. They don't need to build origin-story-specific spaceports. On CZ-198 and the Manaan invasion zone there is a generic shuttle; click on the door and there is a travel option to "your ship." >>This is a known issue<< Not the answer I was hoping for, but it will have to do for now. Thanks.
  13. >> there is absolutely no way to get back to your ship without paying, PER CHARACTER, for a priority transport from the Cartel Market?<< What part of this were you not paying attention to? Every planet, EVERY place to land, there is a portal to get back to your ship. No priority transport or pass needed. No need to go to the fleet and then fly back. Everywhere except Ruhnuk. And I don't like that. Sorry for snapping at you but I'm tired of being asked what kind or passes and transports I have when I specifically say at the beginning that I don't agree that we should have to rely on those, anywhere.
  14. I still get surprised at how many people, after so many years that the game has been in operation, still don't know that Bioware has stated, in no uncertain terms, that any species that is incapable of speaking Basic, will never be available as a player species. This includes Wookie, Trandoshan, Jawa, Ewok, and Ithorian. Possibly Gand as well? The reason why is the voice acting. This cannot accommodate non-Basic speaking species. The entire game would have to be re-designed. I understand that even now, 11 years after the game launched, there are people just starting to play for the very first time ever, but I admit I am still surprised how many people don't know this restriction. If this is on me, then I will accept and concede that.
  15. In the subject line, it appears you're suggesting a Cartel Market unlock for more combat styles? Or is it earlier access to the second style before you meet the normal qualifications? I see a problem with allowing four or even three combat styles in one character. When second styles were introduced, a lot of my hard leveled alt toons fell by the wayside, unnecessary to play further except maybe for crafting. Increasing the number of combat styles, even as a cartel market unlock, could eliminate the need and/or drive to play any alts at all, as your main becomes a 'jack of all trades,' even if a tech user cannot chooe a Force style and vice versa. You could play just one Force user and one Tech user and they could cover almost anything if they were allowed, say, four total combat styles. Just two styles potentially increases the amount of gear grinding that toon might have to do, if say, one style is sniper/gunslinger (strict dps) and the second is vanguard/powertech (option of playing as tank). Now if you also add the scoundrel/operative or commando/mercenary styles in (option of playing as healer)?
