  1. The ranked scene is full of people who think their numbers, rewards, etc. matter in a 10 year old game. Someone is throwing it so their friend can get their rating up. People do get on alts to ruin the game for others, but to do it for hours against the same one healer probably sounds like someone is throwing it to help that other healer get rating.
  2. I only play balance sage and the last 7 years I've played it has always been fun. Right now, I'm not having fun. Yeah, I hear I should respec to TK but it really isn't fun that I need to change my gameplay because the spec I used to play is more liability now. It is a struggle to go from gold / silver tier to just getting farmed when I join. Yesterday I was vote kicked because I joined as a balance sage. I guess at this point it is respec to be more helpful for my team, keep queuing because it is BW's fault they don't know how to balance, or move on. Anyone else experiencing this? I know a lot of you play multiple classes and respec on a whim, but it isn't fun where I need to pick certain classes, certain specs, to be helpful. Thanks for listening to me rant.
  3. Thank you for this. When I was gearing I was told 2800-3200 crit and then 1213 alacrity. Everything else augment wise thrown into versatile augments. What are your thoughts on that?
  4. I'm just about min/maxed for gear and I'm looking at amps for my sage / sorc (balance/madness). No, I don't want to play TK or lightning. I enjoy playing the DoT specs. I've been going full periodic intensity. But I wonder if I should blend between intensity and maybe force sensitivity? What do you think or just stick with periodic intensity?
  5. I know there are pve guides out there for building sets for PvE content. If I am sticking with story and veteran mode, it doesn't matter that I push that mastery for pvp builds right since sm/vm content is so easy that I should be fine? I would not do master mode unless I was extremely bored and then probably switched out my left side.
  6. This is an interesting consideration. I feel like I won't ever do NiM stuff again just because I find operations boring these days. PvP is always fun because the comps are usually different each time. I feel like I would gear for what I want to continue which is mostly pvp. I think I would do the occasional story mode or maybe a veteran mode, but those are so easy it doesn't matter really. At least that was how it was when I last played. Are the diminishing returns really apparent in the capped content? Would I be seeing a huge enough difference to go from mastery to all crit?
  7. Someone mentioned in chat that pvp now recommends 105% accuracy, but I thought that pvp dps was always no accuracy except for certain cases? Have you seen that change at all at least for balance/madness sage?
  8. Nice, thank you for your help.
  9. Got it, so should I be aiming for mods / enhancements (I think the 80r or whatever the 306 is) that give lowest endurance but more mastery instead of power? I would go all mastery augments too I guess minus what I needed to get alacrity/crit numbers.
  10. Thank you for this. For sage healing does it change much?
  11. Thank you for this info. What about other stats like master, crit, power? I am not sure what kind of numbers I should be aiming for or if I should just throw it all into a certain augment?
  12. I saw this dude's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oukBy9Bwzt4 Video and comments suggest 3207 alacrity and then everything else into crit. Thoughts or adjustments?

  14. I think there are good points about the teams only queue when they are alone with mat farmers, but if a better group joins queue they stop. It seems like the ratings will be lower this time to account for the solo ratings OR they might have different ratings this season.
  15. Looking at Star Forge only, which is being commonly referred to as the most populous NA server. The top 50 in solo ranked are hovering around 1450-1750. The top 50 in group ranked are hovering around 1625-2625. There are some classes in solo ranked haven't broken 1500. A discussion could be had on the clear class disparities in ranked. I think they will stay close to whatever solo ranked is because they will opt towards making more players be eligible versus limiting the awards. Plus, solo ranked is a crap shoot with wintraders, throwers, trolls, etc. Group ranked is commonly known for people making groups for just mats and/or have people play on characters to feed a team's rating thus ratings are way inflated for SOME players. What do you think will be the tiers for rewards this season?
