To be honest, I haven't tried doing that. I'm not even sure you'd be able to remove the security key if that section of the authorisation server isn't working. I have a couple of free accounts to play with, which don't have keys, and I was able to log in on both of those. Good to at least download the patch!

Problem relates to the security key. If you don't have a security key you should be able to log on ok.

My partner is going to let her subscription lapse for a while, and rather than have excess credit going into escrow will be sending it to me, but before that happens we'd like to know what the credit limit for preferred players is. Also is the playable toon limit still 8, or did that increase with KotET? Haven't found anything by searching the SWTOR site, the forums, or EA answers Thanks

There's a thread here about it, with a number of workarounds. Choose the one that works for you and stick with it.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for some people. I've being going through that process for years since SWTOR would often crash when exiting from a character, but since 5.0 the game crashes from the character select screen As I mentioned earlier, I now press Windows key in the character select screen to minimize the game, and then right-click on the SWTOR icon on taskbar & click Close Window.

I have this problem too, and my workaround is to log out of character, then press Windows key to minimize game. Right-click on SWTOR icon on taskbar & click Close (or Exit - I can't remember which).

You just need to be a subscriber. If you look at the pre-order rewards at http://www.swtor.com/eternal-throne/home that might make it a bit clearer.

I use a Steelseries Merc Stealth keyboard (or at least the buttons on the left side) and a WoW MMO mouse (also by Steelseries). They fit my hands and have enough programmable buttons for me to use - I can't use them all because my hands / fingers are too big and arthritis limits movement. Biggest problem now is that they're old bits of kit without any new drivers, so getting them to work can be a pain, and frequently requires me to reboot my PC.

Could be PayPal doing it. Some online retailers use PayPal for all their credit card sales, and I have been in the unhappy position of wanting to buy something for Euros and PayPal charging in dollars, so my transaction wanted to charge me exchange rates for Euro to Dollar and then Dollar to Euro.

I was able to go into my war camp to do the Guss recruitment quest without it actually triggering the final chapter. It looked like it wanted to as each time I transported into the war camp I had the icon as if I was in a conversation, but once I hit Esc I was able to move and do all the Guss visitations. Once I'd finished recruiting Guss, I had to go to the entrance of the war camp to trigger the Battle for Odessan, even though the quest said talk to Lana (which I couldn't do).
