  1. no clue, but I run 31/0/10 and so far it's working great for pvp and pve.
  2. that made me lol. Anyways I kind of agree with you, though I hadn't thought about it before, the animation is kinda meh.
  3. Note: this is entirely focused on a pvp aspect Afraid my scoundrel is only 15, but on my 50 tank specced shadow I usually pvp with a 50 scoundrel, and after seeing him in action so often I feel I have some decent understanding of what you are talking about. Yes shadows are going to be tougher if they are being focused, but only if they switch to combat technique which is going to cost 50 energy, and unless they are getting heals, is going to greatly lower their damage and will only help them live 1-2 seconds longer. Now on the other hand a kinetic shadow (tank spec) runs combat tech all the time, and is very tougher... less damage though. Now in relation to a scoundrel I would say I definately have better survivability against multiple people, but he can outlast me 1 on 1 (both of us have 400+expertise). Now as for damage, a non tank specced shadow can do good damage, but they are definately squishier then a scoundrel (light armor vrs. medium) and they have no significant healing abilities besides consumables. So I guess my advice would be to stick with the scoundrel if you want to do high damage, because from what I've seen their survivability is better and their damage is quite good, just more bursty. In conclusion, I no longer remember the question, and hoped I answered it whatever it was, and if I didn't, then this was a big waste to read. ^.^
  4. Bump, waiting patiently for Dev response, or a suprise patch with all the fixes.
  5. While the previous post is mostly correct about only using project when PA is up there is however one serious flaw to that logic. Unfortunately as we all know sometimes PA does NOT want to proc. If you are about to lose a harnessed shadows buff, toss a project up rather then lose it, even if you don't have PA. This should however be the only time you use project without PA, as it's not very threat effective. Harnessed shadows is too good to start over with though just because PA isn't cooperating.
  6. Only problem with this is that there are still a lot of bugs, and one of these bugs is a dc bug and for some reason when someone dcs, it says they quit. Now if they would show which it was, and then add a banish in for people who actually did leave and not people who had an error of some kind... that would be all right.
  7. In case you skipped over the previous post (which is quite good btw) because of it's length I thought I would say a bit. Double strike does less damage then TK does yes... but. You can't use up all of your energy with what you were saying, and if your energy is maxed your losing damage. If you want to spam TK that's fine, until you get harnessed shadows anyways. All you need to do is hit TK every time it's up, and substitue in double strike and toss out a project whenever PA procs. If you really want to make sure you can use TK every time, don't let your force drop below 30, but definately don't let it hit 100. Even if you think double strike doesn't hit that hard, it certainly hits a lot harder then your basic strike.
  8. Well if you get some gear kinetic combat rocks. Currently running 7 pvp epics (5 champion) and well geared in the other slots and I must say... talk about hard to kill. The survivabilty cooldowns combined with the gear means I generally don't get focused so I can toss out taunts and gaurd like crazy, and even as a tank spec with tank gear I seem to do pretty decent damage, usually between 75k-100k. The best though is to find yourself a healer and run with them. Normally I run with a scoundrel... and it's way too OP. Now yes you may be weaker then some classes, but I guarantee any melee class is going to be crushed by you, because you can easily outlast them, and if they are low level, you can even outdamage em. ^.^ I can see why infiltration would seem kind of weak though... they are squishy and though they have all the utility of kinetic, they don't seem to do that much more damage.(though maybe I just haven't seem very many good ones?) I guess my main point is this... you can be a tank... with stealth, and that is just way too fun.
  9. I leveled purely as kinetic combat and hit 50 in 4 days 2 hours playing time. I'm not sure how that holds up with everyone else, but I didn't think it felt slow. It gets especially nice when you get Tumult
  10. Agreed, I actually posted about this a bit earlier myself. It's an extremely irritating issue, and should be easily fixable. I'm hoping to see a fix on this within a week or so.
  11. Clearly you didn't think at all. In a hard mode flashpoint you can't wait for the wonderfull little rez from the droid, you have to go back, or be rezzed by a player. If everyone is dead and you can't zone in... well hopefully you understand now.
  12. So far I've liked the flashpoints, but I have run into one serious problem. I've ran with a couple groups where for whatever reason we have died but killed the final boss. Now as an example In the Esseles I was the last person alive, and I killed the boss and died at the same time. With no one alive to rez we have to return to the medcenter, and unfortunately, we can not run back into the flashpoint because it registers as completed. In short, we succeeded at the boss fight (admittedly barely) but we aren't able to get any of his loot. Also because we could not continue with the conversations 2 of our members didn't get any of the light side points they needed. Now obviously the obvjective is to kill the boss and have someone alive, preferably everyone, but it's very irritating when you do successfully complete a flashpoint but aren't able to aquire the best drop of the entire instance, or get the crafting crystal. It seems to me there are three easy fixes to this problem. 1. Make it so that you can enter a completed hard mode flashpoint. 2. Give the flashpoint a timer. If you really don't want people running around in there for some reason, have a 30 minute timer start the moment the final boss dies, and refuse entry after that point. 3. Only consider the flashpoint complete after the final dialog is through and everyone has left. This is less of a problem with better geared players, or people who are more experienced at the encounter, but with people who are new to these flashpoints and are actually at a gear level where the fights are challenging, this can be a problem.
  13. I have to disagree completely I'm afraid. I'm running the tank spec, kinetic combat I believe and am currently level 37. I've been soloing all the heroic 2s ever since I got Theran, and doing so pretty easily. Before that I was able to solo half. Have you made sure you know which abilities are the most efficient and are keeping your gear up? Being a synthweave crafter I always have the best gear, and trust me, it's worth it. I can't speak about infiltration or balance, but as a tank shadow has been very strong, and I was actually thinking it was too strong. Without knowing anything about you all I can say is make sure your using the right abilities, and keep you and your companion geared. Also I've been doing all the bonus quests, space quests, and some pvp, so I'm always about 2 levels higher then whatever I'm fighting, which surely is helping. Survivability is excellent, and so far the damage output has been good as well. Oh... and don't use the droid... he blows imo. Qyzen and Theran ftw!
