DISCLAIMER - WALL OF TEXT - :eek: :eek: Alright now I can take my time and write a better conclusion to this Challenge! First a HUGE THANK YOU to the Ebon Hawk community for showing such great support for this event! Everything went very smoothly and very little (if any because I don't remember) problems during the Challenge as everyone was just excited to duel. Had some awesome duels against some awesome people. Wanted to give a shout out to some of the characters/players I dueled against: -Nylor for the first to take my Challenge -Yolk for Challenging as a Healer - Sn'o for posting the first time under 1 minute - Asami for bringing ALL his characters to Challenge me....it seemed endless - Kendiaro for holding the longest time on top of the leaderboard - D'andrea for posting the first time as a Republic character....that took too long - Karrden for being so headstrong to keep trying until he EPIC FAILED!....because everyone else wasn't man enough to keep trying - Saeari for showing up almost every night even though he was long done with his attempts....even though he stumbled upon the Challenge by beating up on some spectators - Peb and Dizeren for being some of the best players that I've ever dueled that I couldn't wait to Challenge me.....and I put them on the WALL OF SHAME - Jerc for being the originator of awesome dueling events....BRING BACK FIGHT CLUB FOR THESE PEOPLE! - Wrecks for some of the most fun I've ever had dueling a Marauder - Catheana for playing a WATCHMEN SENTINEL and posting a 0:48:00 time showing all of you people that with enough practice and the right gear and ANY CLASS can be awesome - Thule for capping off the Challenge with 2 Jugg Tank vs Jugg Tank duel that lasted almost 4 minutes long each. -And of course everyone that participated in the Challenge, if I didn't mention your name already, a HUGE shout out to you all as well! I took a freaking beating all month long because of all you guys. Actually took the time to count up how many times I lost.....114 duels....and I even wasn't around for the middle of the month . Man you guys are brutal. I feel bad for all the tank Juggernauts looking to seriously tank in PvP because I just gave a lot of people a TON of practice. Speaking of going forward, I wanted to share my thoughts with all of you guys on some things I had been thinking about on what types of events can be done to involve more of the TEH Ebon Hawk community. After this event I noticed something about the potential of the PvP community of this server and its grand. - First, dueling events are awesome. I should know, I JUST HELD ONE and LOOK! IT WORKED OUT People may also remember Jerc's Friday Night Fight Club, which for the people who attended would vouch for the fact that it was always a great time to kick back and just duel it out. I learned so many things and got to actually talk to some of my competition instead of always trying to beat them with a light stick in WZs. Know what I found out, they are cool people too! Just getting the chance to step out of WZs for a few hours while still playing with the PvPers can be a great time. - Second, Open World PvP....the ever elusive thing that EVERYONE wants to do and enjoy. I had an idea, and hopefully you guys run with it or turn it into something even better. It started with one question; Why does and Open World PvP event have to always happen on a specific date? We see the flaws of it, nobody shows, only one side shows and dominates the other, etc. Why not just have a re-occuring event that just happens during a span of time....like a month? That way, like my challenge, people can show up when they can and anything can happen at anytime for people who have different schedules. "BUT RYTAN THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! HOW WOULD ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO? THERE WOULD NEVER BE ENOUGH PEOPLE ON TO MAKE IT AWESOME!" My retort to that is just have each month be about one planet whether its Hoth, Tatooine, Voss, Alderaan, Ilum, or wherever both factions can fight each other. Set up an in game chat channel on each side specifically for this planet monthly Open World PvP (call it something like ImpMontlyWorldPvP or PubMonthlyWorldPvP). Then just fight each other for fun! Invite all the players you can! When the Imps have 20 and the Pubs only have 10, don't just leave it at that. Either Pubs grab more players and fight back the Imps or some Imps just switch to Pub characters. The closer the numbers and fight, the more fun it is! Hell even the Pubs have complete control of one base/battleground of the Imps and the Imps can't do anything, Imps just force a different location of the battle and attack another Pub base. YOU HAVE A WHOLE PLANET! Open World PvP will never catch on for a server if its so confined to just one day and one time. Make it all the time, invite everyone you can and ANYTHING CAN AND WILL HAPPEN! That is exactly what I did for my event, it was a whole month long and I invited everyone, even people without any PvP gear. Everyone seemed to enjoy just having a shot at me and people will just enjoy having a shot at Open World PvP. -Finally.....this wall of text is getting quite long and I really only had two things to say In conclusion, I've taken too much of your time reading this and too many hours just writing this out, but it was all worth it. I may be on the way out of SWTOR, but it doesn't mean I don't want it to still thrive, especially on TEH. Yes I moved to POT5 for sometime and I completely regret it to this day because TEH is the best and has the best people. I want to be able to come back into mumble, TS, ventrilo or into SWTOR itself on as a FREEper and see how awesome the server has become. I want to say to myself "damn I've been really missing out on some great stuff." I thank you all for making my first MMO experience a great one. Special thanks to all the people who have been a part of the Silent Council and it's friends. Even though I'm leaving now, I would do it all over again if I had the choice. Rytan out!

Sorry I haven't been on a lot recently for challenges everyone, been busy. I wanted to compile a list of people who HAVEN'T had a chance to challenge me at all yet and be able to seek them out in game when checking to see who is on and who would be up for a challenge. Day 2 was better than Day 1! Great seeing so much competition and seeing some old faces along with some great new ones. Looking forward to more challenges! Keep them coming! I will make a strong effort to make sure I log onto my Republic character Lurruh to let Pubs know when I'm on so they don't get left out of the fun.

People have already reached out to me wanting to donate items and credits towards this challenge. The time has officially come, Rytan is retiring from SWTOR in February. Most of you probably forgot I've even played this game, probably because I haven't been much at all for the last 3 months. Anyway, I'd like to spend my last month doing what I've had the most fun doing in SWTOR, PVP. Although, I had an interesting idea. A Beat the Clock Challenge. What is a "Beat the Clock Challenge" you may ask and why should you care? The Beat the Clock Challenge is me challenging The Ebon Hawk community to basically COME AT ME BRO! I have played my Juggernaut since this game came out and all I have done is tank. As well I have thoroughly enjoyed duels and the fight club nights (for those people who remember). So the Challenge is this; - For one whole month starting Jan. 1st 2014, I will be on SWTOR as much as possible to accept challenges from ANYONE LEVEL 55 to face me in a duel. - These duels will take place in the Pit in Outlaw's Den. -Once the countdown to the duel begins I will start a stop watch and once you kill me I will stop said stop watch. - I will record your time in an excel spreadsheet - Each CHARACTER/TOON can decide to face me a total of THREE times and I will record each of those THREE times. - The goal is to beat me in a duel faster than anyone else can. - "BUT RYTAN YOU CAN JUST KEEP RUNNING AWAY, LOS AND STALL! THAT'S NOT FUN!"......NOT TRUE. I will also try to defeat you in the duels as well because if I defeat you in a duel, I will remove your best time on that character and replace it with the 2nd best time. Plus you will be put on the Wall of Shame with the rest of the characters that have lost to Rytan to be ridiculed by your peers. - I will attempt to post weekly updates with the leading times. - In the event of a tie, the tie breaker will be the second best time of each player compared to each other until the tie is broken. If they have the exact same times on all three times, then to finalize and break the tie, the two players must duel each other to break the tie. "Well that's all fine and dandy Rytan, but what's in it for us?" I'm glad you asked because since I'm unsubbing I have no need for all the credits and most of the items I have. So that means the winner will receive ALL OF MY CREDITS ACROSS ALL OF MY CHARACTERS! I will count this all up later, but it can increase as I play the game more (I'm guessing at least 3.5 million). Now I know that may not be much for people like Bromontana and Jackobie , but it can be a lot for many others. Certain extra items of mine will also be given out for awesome duels and generally fun times during this month as well. Duel Rules: 1. Anyone who interferes or interrupts with a duel will immediately loose their best time. Anyone who does it again will have all their times lost and be banned from this Challenge. 2. Medpacs, Grenades, and Stims are ALLOWED. Bring your A game with all the tricks of the trade. 3. Even though this is taking place in Outlaw's Den, we must actually be in a true "Duel" for it to count. We cannot be just randomly fighting in the Pit. Must actually request duel. 4. In the event we get knocked out of the duel range, we will restart the duel as long as I don't believe you did it on purpose to get another chance. 5. Time frame is January 1st - January 31st. 6. Rytan is allowed to take breaks whenever he so chooses. I will try to be on as much as possible and be able to allow as many people duel with him as possible. Although I am human too just like you, I will need breaks after all the beatings I'm about to take. 7. Rules subject to change at all times by ONLY RYTAN as things happen and rulings might need to be made later on. We all live and learn guys. Addendums: Jan. 1st: 1. If I defeat you more than once, you will still only lose just the one CURRENT best time. You will not lose more than one. You don't ever HAVE to do 3, you just have the opportunity to. I personally would like 3, but it is up to you. It is a risk because if you already have a good time, but it was your 2nd challenge and you attempt a 3rd, there is a chance I beat you and you lose your best time. What's the fun in not taking every chance you can to get a better time though? 2. If I beat you 5 times, you automatically lose all your times and EPIC FAIL the challenge. Basically I'm not going to keeping waiting for you to beat me if I almost have to let you win I hope to see as many of you all as possible for this. The more the merrier.
