  1. I have mained PVE Fury/Concentration for, well, ever, with the caveat that I would switch to something else if necessary to clear fights. I haven't had to swap except on Op IX in NiM Dread Ops--not in 4.0, but when the cores were bugged and force sweep didn't hit them half the time--and I specced back to it for the second half of the fight. Fury is not in a good place right now, so most people stopped using it. So it's viable for more than story, but only if you do worry about your rotation/maximizing DPS. A good Fury marauder will still fall behind the other specs, though. It desperately needs a rework right now in terms of balance as Carnage has more burst and more single target, and Anni has way more single target. However, if you can run it in raids, more power to you.
  2. But...Monolith hype train!!1!!!!!1!!1! Yeah, I talked to them at a cantina tour where they swore up and down they knew a year+ gap was a huge mistake. I guess I'm a sucker cuz I believed it wouldn't happen again.
  3. What he said, I'm deathly afraid my guild will quit if we don't get new ops and class balance soon.
  4. Reserved for future posts and also to give people the GM's forum handle.
  5. I apologize personally to anyone in the community who has been affected by Jaberse's actions. Please keep the accusations about cheaters in guild to a minimum. Jaberse's actions were unknown to the guild and were not in any way sanctioned by it. People in my guild who have nothing to do with this have already received insults and other harassment over it. Jaberse is no longer raiding in any Aisthesis progression group and is not associated with us in any way. I will report any further incidents of harassment and I will encourage my guildies to do the same. Thank you.
  6. I'm looking to get off my server. I've guildmaster and raid leader experience, as well as having played since launch. Main: 55 focus sentinel. Can play watchman (for OP IX). 75/78s with 72 hilt, a couple 72 set bonus armorings. All HMs cleared, 2/7 SV NiM, 4/5 TFB NiM. I will NOT respec unless mechanics require it. Alts: 55 sage healer. 2/5 TFB NiM (as a sub for our main group), 1/7 SV NiM, 5/5 DF HM, 4/5 DP HM. Gear is fine for the new content, a couple Arkanian set bonus armorings. 55 Vanguard dps/tank. 1/5 TFB NiM, 2/7 SV NiM. I main Tactics spec (and will not swap), but both my tank set and dps set are pretty much 72s (a couple 69 set bonus armorings) and I have some 75 mods. I have tanked Nefra and Draxus HM thus far in guild alt groups. 55 sorc healer. Separate gear set than my sage, and she has a dps set as well. She's in 72s with 69 armorings and a few 75 mods. I'm pretty sure she could heal the new content, but some more gear would definitely help. I can raid any day, any time. I'm not interested in raiding more than 3 nights per week. I have numerous boss and dummy parses that I can PM the links to. I parse very rarely, and usually only once or twice (not a records parser). I wouldn't mind main-swapping to Imp side, but I'd prefer a guild where I get to play my sentinel. Questions welcomed! Thanks for looking.
  7. deleted because don't give a **** anymore
  8. yup, i deserve to die, im a horrible person, wahtever
  9. You know, it's said that the Ebon Hawk has a great community. It's a good thing to know that stereotypes aren't always true.
  10. Farius, The thread is not being run by a guild. It is being run by me, I don't agree with everything everyone in my guild says, because we're all different people. If other people want to weigh in on stuff, that's fine. When the two nightmare ops dropped at once, I think there was unnecessary drama about the list ordering. Was Aisthesis responsible for some of that? You bet. The list in its current form is to avoid that sort of ****, because I don't want to deal with it, and I think it negatively impacted guild relations, especially between UWA and Aisthesis. The point of the thread is to bring the community together, not rip it apart. Some guilds want to stick with doing DF rather than trying the first few bosses in DP, and others want to kill as many as they can. I don't think this list style is as garbled as you claim, and it doesn't penalize groups who keep at a hard boss instead of jumping to the other op right away. This way you can as a guild progress in your own style. ---------------------- To people in my guild, This thread isn't Aisthesis central. If you scare away other guilds from participating because they think this is a giant circle jerk, then I will ban you from participating on the thread at all. I know that other guilds have multiple people posting. Posting is fine. Giving opinions is fine. But you don't run the thread. I do. If you have a problem with that, take over the thread. ---------------------- To everyone else, I don't plan to change to fundamental way the thread is run. If anyone wishes to take over the thread because they feel that I'm irresponsible or unfit, or biased, or letting my guild control me rather than the other way around, then they need to offer that rather than critiquing the box/color scheme. I'll make improvements, but I agreed to take over the thread because I thought that the fundamental way it conveys information was fresh, attractive and fair. Guilds are welcome to list all their progression in their recruitment threads or on their websites. It's pretty obvious who the major contenders are on the server just by scanning the top four or five names on each of the lists. I'm sick of talking about this since no one has raised any new points and I don't plan to weigh in anymore until such time. When I took over I had planned to run the progression thread until the community found me unfit or until I stopped playing Swtor (hasn't happened since launch). If you find me unfit, just say so.
  11. The V2 thread was much harder to manage and required a ranking system that raised a lot of objections over its lifetime because of people getting butthurt about the 'linear progression' of operations since multiple operations have been dropping at once. Having server first boss clears noted is, I think, better than faction first, and it is very simple to denote and keep track of. It also means that getting server first on the whole operation isn't given unnecessary weight; you can see who progressed faster on the difficult bosses assuming that said bosses aren't the final boss. Final bosses in ops have traditionally been fairly hard, but as I said in the post, I think it's good to encourage competition throughout the operation. Assuming our server performs according to past performance when the new nightmare ops drop, there will be periods of weeks where no one has killed a new boss, and getting that next blue box will be what is keeping some people going. I'm not sure what you mean by the second half of your comment.
  12. <Aisthesis> Server first HM Brontes Server first HM Dread Council Daharel, Super-nova and Lindryry are all part of our guild...(since you know, gunnery commando ) Light PVP, no RP (we have an alliance with an RP guild) Ops 7 days a week, often pugged out of guildchat. We have some spaces open in HM groups for dps. Gear doesn't really matter; we judge dps parses by skill, not gear. We normally raid at 8:30 est, but we do have a couple groups that raid earlier than that (Thursdays and/or weekends). If you're interested, PM me for our mumble info...
  13. Hey Tundrra; I wanted to reassure you that your post hadn't gotten lost amidst the discussion we have ongoing and that I will be updating the main thread as soon as I hit the reply button here. Congrats on getting Brontes down! However, and this is for any guild: if you post that you've cleared something without a screenshot, and you post it on, for instance, 11/1, and in between you clearing it (say, on 10/20) and you posting about it Guild X comes by and says they've cleared something on 10/25, I cannot reverse the list order unless you challenge it and post a screenshot. Because of the way achievements now work, I can verify that your clear was earlier than Guild X's. This isn't a problem in this case because New Outriders definitively cleared DF SM after the last guild to post about it did, but I would like to give everyone a heads-up that it is *your* right but also your responsibility to challenge yourself in the case of a false ordering. I will not be scrolling back through the thread for every guild. Thanks.
  14. I don't really want to get involved with this except to say that I have considered moving the legend to the top of the progression list and will continue to contemplate it. I think both ways have pros and cons. To the casual observer, the list is ordered by progression success. A really casual person doesn't need to know what *any* of the colors mean to see which guilds are participating, which guilds have been more successful, etc. Someone looking for more in-depth information (for instance, a server transfer who is researching and trying to find a guild at his content level) should have no problem reading the rules post or just skipping to the legend, which is a short and concise part of the rules post. I like the scheme we have here, and as the list moderator I can tell you that it is difficult to port a guild's progression over, which is a one-time thing. It may also be difficult to redo the lists for DP/DF once the nightmare difficulties for those ops drop. However, just to update on a daily basis, it is not hard at all. I am happy with the way that things have looked so far. If all the guilds who participate were to say that they found the scheme archaic I would change it, but people seemed generally positive at the time of conception. Is it perfect? Of course not. I didn't ask guildies to come to my or the thread's defense. I think that once you have gotten the basic shorthand for the thread (blue/green good, red acceptable; linear progression per op trending downward), it is relatively easy to follow. The progression thread is still fairly new; I have no doubts that it will become old hat by the time the new tier of content drops. I want to insist vehemently that I value everyone's opinions on this thread. The point is for guilds to participate, and if I knew that some guilds were not participating due to its aesthetics or my ownership of the thread, I would happily give it up. So please, let me know if you think there is anything wrong. I will do my best to keep maintaining this service and taking people's opinions into account.
