  1. I was in the last beta phase. I think it was in september-october, don't remember exactly. For the prelaunch, I started to play on December 16th 2011.
  2. I have to agree with most of the things Shava wrote. I witnessed it so many times irl among some friends and acquaintances: 1st. They'll talk about that new mmorpg months prior to its launch and they'll play in every beta phases. 2nd. They'll preorder it asap and stay awake all night before the launching day. 3rd. They'll burn through the mmo without reading the story, without taking the time to look around in the maps, without socializing, without trying the other classes, etc. 4rd. After 2-6 days, they're already at max level. After 1-3 weeks, they're already max geared and guess what? Yep, they are already totally bored. 5rd. They'll start to complain a lot and write many really negative comments about that mmo in forums/chat/websites. 6rd. They'll unsub. *Repeat steps 1 to 6* until death... The sad thing is that I used to behave like that. I used to jump from mmorpg to mmorpg. Then, one day, I said to myself: "Stop being that kind of gamer, it's just a pathetic and sad behavior". This is why SWTOR is my 1st mmo where I really take the time to enjoy the game. No more rush. I'm done with that.
  3. I have no idea. I still think it's an upcoming free roaming 3d space battle thingie. I'm looking forward to more informations.
  4. Welcome back and nicely done!
  5. I still have fond memories of Baldur's Gate 1+2, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights 1 (plus all those add-ons). I heard they'll release some kind of graphically improved version of Baldur's Gate. If this is true, I'm really looking forward to it.
  6. You rating/feedback system would work if ALL the mmo players would ALWAYS take reasonable, mature, responsible, logical, non-cynical, non-jaded and unbiased decisions. So... yeah...
  7. First, welcome back to SWTOR. I hope you'll enjoy it a lot for a long time. You aren't the only one, I know a few players irl who returned too. Most of them stopped to play around January-March 2012. So for them, it was like playing a whole new mmo. So far, they love the improvements and they're having fun.
  8. I have to go with Doc. That guy has so much swagger and confidence, it's ridiculous! And that love affair he had with.. you know... *shocked*
  9. In a sense, I have to thank you for being so unlucky. You kind of bring "balance" to the RE system. I'm completely on the opposite spectrum. I keep having successes after successes with the RE. I still remember that moment when I successfully reverse engineered 4 times in a row! The odds of that happening is about 0.16%!!!!!! Again, thank you. I know a few players irl who are very unlucky with their mmo crafting, not just in SWTOR but also in all the other mmos they've tried. It's like if they did something to p@ss off the mmo gods.
  10. I have to agree. Khem is one creepy guy...
  11. Of course I'll resub for another 6 months! I wish we had a lifetime option though.
  12. Right now, my jedi guardian is using the whole Jedi Battlelord set. If you don't hide your headgear, you hood is down but you still see the sunglasses. I don't remember where exactly I read about it but the developers spoke about the hood down option and they say that it will be there for 1.4 or something like that.
  13. I had a similar experience. Since June 12th 2012, I only had to queue once and it lasted about 2 minutes. Btw, I log in the game almost everyday during peak hours (7pm-11pm EDT).
