  1. Oh well, Jedi aren't supposed to be in love anyway. Thanks
  2. I made a mistake when I first started out with my Jedi Knight and missed out on Kira’s romance quest without realizing it. I just did the regular conversation options instead of the flirt ones that start the romance cause I saw they were dark side. Is there a way I can do it again or reinitiate it with an item?
  3. Thanks, I had read in a couple of threads rating the storylines that JK was not very good. But I think that was mostly because it seems to be designed towards a lightside goody two shoes. Facing down the Emperor of your enemy would definitely be a pretty awesome ending!
  4. I'm going into elements of the Jedi Knight and Inquisitor storylines so bewarned. I just finished up act I and defeated Darth Angry and I really loved the story up to that point. I’ve just started act II and landed on Balmora, but I’m wondering if I should keep going since I’ve heard the Jedi story gets weak about halfway through. In the first act I was on a desperate chase to recover stolen weapons technology and prevent it from being used. There was a sense of urgency and I knew a final showdown would happen, but that wasn’t the main focus and I didn’t know how it would go. Now I’m being told to go after the Emperor which sounds awesome, but will probably end up along the lines of “First you need a stealth unit from Planet X, and a star chart from Planet Y, and these Boots of Emperor Kicking from Planet Z”. I ran into a similar thing with my Sith Inquisitor where I gathered a bunch of relics that weren’t explained or shown, and then went from planet to planet collecting Ghosts. With my inquisitor there were also little side elements like building up my own powerbase and planning betrayals. I don’t know if my Knight really has any of that. He’s a servant of the Republic and I enjoy helping others with him, but it isn’t much deeper than that. Since I’m only level 32 I didn’t know if I should try another republic class with a better story. I hear Trooper is good and Smuggler is hilarious.
  5. Thanks, I check out Nar Shada first. I thought I saw that the Alderaan bonus series wasn't available till level forty though.
  6. I've about wrapped up my inquisitor and it seems like the whole story is best seen from a dark side playthrough. Nearly all of the characters like dark side choices and the general “Questing for more and more power” theme doesn't seem to work well with a light side user. Since the warrior is more of a martial class more focused on discipline and honor it could probably do well as a light side character, but is the story in general more about dark side choices? I've heard that the Jedi Knight is designed to be played by a light sider and thought WAR would be designed the opposite to fit the theme. I know that I can play anyway I want. I'm doing a light side IA and its been fun/challenging standing up to evil empire characters. But I've also noticed that when doing my Inquisitor if I did a light side choice it didn't fit well thematically.
  7. I think I've messed up a bit while leveling. Right now I'm level 38 and just finished up all the quests on Hoth. I wanted to move to Belsaris, but when I get there everything is level 42 to 44 and quests are red. I didn't start doing bonus quests until Tatooene because I ran into something of a similar problem. I also haven't been doing the heroics or flashpoints since I can't seem to get a group for them. Do I need to go back to Hoth and grind on mobs for a while until I'm around level forty? I've looked at some leveling guides but I've already done the bonus quests on most of the other planets like Taris.
  8. I just hit level 25 on tatooine and got my second companion. Now that I actually have a choice (Silence 2V-R8! You'll do my laundry and like it!) I was hoping to get your opinions on good leveling partners as a sorcerer for the next ten to fifteen levels. My first instinct is to stick with Khem Val since he's a good tank and I'm fairly squishy. While questing with Revel I noticed I was getting hit a lot more and having to heal more often since he didn't manage threat like Khem. I was still able to take down silver and gold mobs though thanks to his higher DPS and we tore down packs very quickly. I'm also not sure if I should be keeping him in sniper or AoE mode, that might make a difference. I'm also noticing that Khem is also taking damage more quickly even though I keep him pretty well geared. The next one looks like Ashara but everyone seems to think she sucks, though I'm not sure if thats because of bugs or she's always disproving of you. On that note, what does Revel approve and disprove of? My character is fairly bloodthirsty which has coincided with Khem Vals personality, but Revel doesn't seem to respond much. I don't pick my choices based on my companions but if he's going to constantly be disproving of me I'll need to invest in a lot of gifts.

  10. Thanks, thats pretty much what I figured. Otherwise it would be hell trying to balance. I guess I'll go sniper as an IA and scoundrel as a gunslinger.
  11. Once I wrap up my Sith Inquisitor I’m going to try out IA since everyone says the story is so great and the cover system looks interesting. At some point I’m also going to want to try out Smuggler because lots of people say its story is also good, but while researching it seems like they are basically the same class for each faction. I’d like to avoid leveling up the exact same class though so is there any major differences in the advanced jobs between the two? Ie, is an IA sniper the same as a Smuggler gunslinger? They seem to have the same roles but do they have something that differentiates them beyond Snipers using rifles and Gunslingers dual blasters?
  12. Wasn't the whole point of Attack of the Clones (Besides Natalie Portman's belly shirt) that Jedi couldn't marry? And I wasn't aware that the Force was genetic based, but I'm not big on SW lore.
