  1. Fair enough. So your beef is that your class now has some utility. No push, no pull, no knock back, but Sco/Ops now has a gap closer and something to help escape if you are cleansed first. After getting bounced around Huttball for 2 years by the pushes and pulls of every other class I say good for us having some utility.
  2. There are hybrid specs and folks who play them. The issue is casual players versus the few of you who parse your PvP stats. BW clearly designed this game with a dual role tax. Advanced classes that can do more than just dps are generally penalized as to pure dps output. Is his right/fair? It doesn't matter. This is how BW wants it or they would have fixed it in the last 20 months. BW wants you to play alts. This can't be a surprise. Thanks for your parse posts on Ops. It's great there are some dps Ops out there, apparently Harbinger is the oddball because there hardly any in 55 PvP. Perhaps your argument is that the few people still playing dps Ops are better than the countless legions of smash monkeys?
  3. Given that WoW launched 8 years ago and TOR launched 20 months ago I should hope TOR had a better launch. I agree with you that, generally, Sorcs are fine. DPS Sins and Ops were nerfed drastically and people still play them. Balancing for arenas has to be crazy hard . . .
  4. It's their first MMO and they have been amateur night, beyond the stories,from word go. They don't make WoW money or employee adequate warm bodies to develop on a AAA level. They are fishing for whales with f2p/CM. WoW does EVERYTHING better and their players are also constantly whining. Roll alts or unsub. That's BW's clear message.
  5. Finally there is the Operative story line. Don't miss it. It's worth rolling one into the 40s just to play through the story.

Operative/Scoundrel - healer/melee dps Pros: Heals currently excellent in PvP Stealth melee dps if that's your thing Best AoE in game (I think) with orbital strike Cons: DPS is not the best - nor should it be as a dual role class - slinger/sniper is better pure dps Squishy when caught without guard or stealth Hate and tears on these forums
  8. So to sum up - I couldn't two hit an Op so nerf them NOW! I didn't use any of my various stuns and slows so nerf them NOW. Focus an Op with no guard or cross heals and see how long he lasts.
  9. Here are some of the problems with the implementation of WoW-like arenas. The constant need to buff and nerf. On one hand this promotes alts which is good. On the other hand, this game doesn't have WoW's support from the sub, income, or dev staffing perspective. Not to mention that the timeline for changes since f2p is weeks to months. Most importantly PvP was essentially an afterthought in this game. The devs admitted early on they were overwhelmed by the interest in PvP and had not planned for it. Which led to the ranked bait and switch that cost them thousands of subs. Arenas will present a fun TDM burst, burst, burst experience for the CoD generation. Enjoy that as you will. Will/can BW show the dev love needed to balance the classes? No. Why should they? They will never make everyone happy. Unless you queue in by role and get the same skills and attributes across the board as every other player of that role. Personally I don't want to play SWCoD, but I'm sure that game will exist again - Battlefront 3.
  10. They want heals nerfed because they want 4v4 Mara epeen duels. There are a LOT of players that want CoD or Halo PvP. If they will sub to play it BW wins. If not we all lose.

  12. If recruit gear is coming back maybe. Otherwise that zero ranking will remain at zero without bolster. Clearly not the goal of these changes.
  13. Spot on. Removing F2P restrictions and creating Team Death Match arenas point directly to an attempt to grow the playerbase in PvP. Bolster is here to stay. As are smash monkeys. This should breath new life into stealth dps as well.

  15. The best "fix" is to make the PvP queue function similarly to the PvE queue. You queue as a role: dps, heals or tank and once you are in the queue your respec ability is disabled. Teams should always consist of 1-2 tanks, 2-3 heals and the rest dps in such a scenario. Or something like that.
