  1. Darth Hadra also sits on the Council. Darth Thanaton and Darth Vengean are also members. Each Council member has a specific sphere of influence that they control, but there is some overlap which leads to members clashing. Darth Vengean handles military matters, as does Darth Marr. Darth Jadus oversees intelligence, and Darth Thanaton preserves the mysteries of the Sith. The membership of the Council tends to change rapidly, as according to lore entries the average tenure of a Council member is a few weeks. Darth Vowrawn, who has held his seat for decades, has fended off numerous attempts to unseat him.
  2. I didn't see the choice as 'murder vs. genocide of the Talz'. I saw it as the human commander wanting to attack the Talz that attacked you, whereas the Chiss says that this will just drive the other Talz groups into hiding and not end the threat completely. No matter which choice you pick, the Talz are allied with the Republic and very much your enemy. It's just a matter of whether you want to take the easy way out and strike at the Talz you know attacked you, or choosing the more tactical option and seeking out the rest of them. Personal vengeance vs. for the greater good is a very big DS/LS theme. Just in this case it happens to be represented by how many Talz you end up killing. Sadly, in a game where you only get 2 choices when it comes to LS/DS, inevitably some people won't get the option they were hoping for. I'm sorry you didn't in this case.
  3. *shrugs* It made perfect sense to me. And there is alot of precendence for both choices in previous LS/DS choices in the previous Empire zones before Hoth, going back to the starter planets. And I personally like seeing variety in my choices; I get tired of the dark side option being murder.
  4. having played a LS sith warrior, it's definitely possible to be a LS sith and remain in the empire. You have what most Sith have forgotten in favor of arrogance and personal power: Honor. You don't pointlessly murder your enemies or make them suffer, but fight to defeat them nonetheless. Often your light side choices are the ones that make the most tactical sense in fighting battles and winning the war against the Republic. That said there's currently no option to change factions and become a jedi. They might add it in the future, but the Jedi you meet on the Empire quests tend to be highly mistrustful of Sith and often react to you with violence, even if you try to negotiate peacefully. Though, with the Legacy system coming in a couple months maybe they'll open up faction transfers. Only time will tell.
  5. 1. The dark side choice comes from immediately striking out and destroying your enemies. Alot of dark side/light side choices Empire side have to do with using violence as a solution or excess collateral damage vs. taking the most tactically sound option. Dark side tends to make alot of arrogant, pointlessly violent choices. 2. The option to choose the inept human over the intelligent Chiss that clearly deserves the promotion fits in perfectly with the Empire's mindset. There are almost no aliens in positions of power in the Empire, as they are human/sith supremacist. Giving the Chiss his credit and not recommending the human based purely on keeping the Empire humans-only is definitely light side. Just my take on how these choices are rationalized. I like most of the Hoth LS/DS choices, they really show the Empire's difference in mindset to the Republic.
  6. The Sith Empire is ruled, as the name states, by the Sith. To be Sith is to know that you are the master, and even the lowliest Sith is apprenticed to a Dark Lord. As you said, we're thousands of years and a completely different empire away from Thrawn. Sith seem to be almost completely above Imperial military orders and punishment. Is this a good system? No, probably not, since Sith tend to be haughty and power-mad anyway. But it's the system the Sith Empire uses. As for the various fleets, what would you like to see them being used as? They seem to do their job just fine in ship battles.
  7. Actually Alderaan's bonus quests are all lvl 40. Some bonus series just want you to come back later.
  8. I'd agree that there's no way to know if the body you're looting is Naga Sadow's, and it really doesn't matter. It's a set of ancient bones wearing sith armor, and the lightsaber you get is called the 'Ancient Lightsaber', not 'Naga Sadow's Lightsaber'. Could've belonged to anyone. When you're sent into the tomb, Baras doesn't say you're going to retrieve the blade of the legendary Naga Sadow, just that there's a very old lightsaber in the tomb, and you need to get it. Given the other innumerable horrors Sith Lords tended to stuff their tombs with, more than one corpse doesn't surprise me.
  9. During his dialogue, Revan acts arrogant, obsessed, and paranoid... there's an easy explanation for why: he's insane. 300 years of mental torture seems to have twisted him back toward the dark side, and as such he's willing to kill billions to see the Emperor dead. However he has just about the most unambiguous death ever. It's pretty clear he's coming back later, hopefully after he's had time to clear his mind a bit.
  10. It's pretty much just a star wars thing. In fact in alot of respects, the older the technology is in Star Wars, the more advanced. The ancient Sith Lords still have perfectly functioning droids and advanced machinery that are thousands of years old even by the time of TOR, and the Infinite Empire's technology seems to be vastly superior to anything the Republic or Empire has now. Plus, 3000 years is a long time, so it's entirely possible there were a couple technological dark ages between TOR and the original movies.
  11. You're not doing anything wrong, it's just a rather difficult quest, as you have to fight your way through waves of enemies without a chance to heal or rest. My advice is to have quinn out at all times and try your best to keep your health up. Failing that, bring a friend or ask in general chat for some help.
  12. No screenshots here, but they don't look any different from female Togruta. I think there are a few random male Togruta NPCs wandering around the world too.
  13. I agree completely. We've got tons of posts by people demanding things that were never promised to them in the first place. I'm glad the devs aren't listening to any of them. They open the servers 2 days earlier than we'd all expected, and people just endlessly complain about how they all couldn't play on the first day, when what was actually going to happen has been clearly spelled out on the front page for months. Give it a rest guys, you haven't been cheated, and trying to pretend you were isn't going to get you anywhere.
