  1. Hi, Just wanted to say I enjoyed this flashpoint. I did run into one small issue that I'll mention below. How did you feel about the difficulty and mechanics of the flashpoint bosses, either in general or in specific? What did you enjoy? What did you dislike? The difficulty was fine I thought. I never really felt in danger although I had to use the healing stations twice. I did not use the helper droid and a couple of times my companion got behind on the healing. I ran the FP as a Ruffian Scoundrel so I could skip a bit of the mobs between bosses. However, after I picked up the 3 stack de-buff that you get in this FP it never went away. Seemed like I was stuck with it. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it would bring me out of stealth at times I think. I could not tell if was a mob stealth detection ability or damage from this de-buff that was causing the problem. This de-buff also caused my companion to constantly heal, not a bad thing by the green kolto clouds ruined some good screen shots. Another problem this de-buff caused was that it stayed active after the final boss dies. This prevented me from using exit area to leave the FP. I was not permitted to quick travel to fleet from the FP. Fortunately, I bought a NS stronghold when I created this test server character so I could use the stronghold travel to leave. I also had the glowing screen border after the final boss fight ended. The puzzle to open the door probably took me the longest to complete regarding anything in the flashpoint. But it was perfect. Please don't change it. Edit: I went back and started going through the flashpoint in veteran mode. This time I opened the hidden door after solving the puzzle. When I did this in story more, I did not notice the bonus right away. So I entered the area and got the dark corruption de-buff, then went back and go the light. After that the dark corruption de-buff never went away. I think doing this out of sequence caused my problems noted above. How did you feel about the runtime of the story mode experience? It was fine. It did not take long as a stealth character and the mobs between bosses were no problem. They go down quickly, especially if you have a class with strong AOE damage. Have you run into any bugs? If so, please offer step by step details so we may be able to reproduce your experience. The only real bug I think was the 3 stack de-buff not termination after the final boss was dead since it prevented the exit area button from being used due to being interrupted.
  2. Lol, why do you just pull two 8 point activities that complete both solo and in group into your "neutral" group? What about the 12 point objectives that can be completed either in group or solo like "Legacies of the Underworld" this week. Those should be 'neutral' also then. And since the number of these that can be done either way will vary week to week, you'll need to total them for all of GS2 to see which offers more points.
  3. A grind is not a bad thing. I played SWG from launch till sunset. The first Jedi unlocks only needed to grind out 4 holocron professions. By the time they changed to the village grind for Jedi, 28 holocron professions needed to be ground thru. Just shows people will do crazy grinds if the reward is not locked behind the hardest content in the game where you need a fairly elite group. People will keep playing for a long time as long as they are progressing. When they can't progress they do something else.
  4. Several reasons. Not everyone cares to chase the best available gear. But for those that do, they like to see their character progress and get stronger. Why should someone be gimped because of the content they play? With better gear you can kill more mobs faster to gather or harvest, do dailies, etc. Availability to better gear may give casual players more opportunities to try things they would not. People say you don't need top end gear for story mode OPs but that's not true. That gear may be more helpful to a casual trying new story mode OPs than an experienced raider trying a new hard mode.
  5. I think the dev's want to slow down the process. They don't want another update where people are max iLvl in a few weeks. Remember in 6.0 as you went up 2 levels at a time from 270 to 306, the gear changed from green to blue to purple to gold. 7.0 seems like the same thing just slower and with stops till they raise the gear ceiling again. I can't believe they want to micro-manage the process this much instead of letting players progress as they want, but here we are.....
  6. I don't believe you get gear upgrades in Flashpoints from boss drops. The best you can get is a piece at the same level as your current gear. You can either give this to an alt or destroy it for currency. The gear upgrades beyond 320 come from completing the Vet FP weekly. The reward crate should give you an upgrade for your lowest iLvl piece. Otherwise you need to buy the upgrades using the vet FP currency from the fleet vendors. I believe you can upgrade to iLvl 324 through vet FPS.
  7. Sorry to hear about a delay in the release of 7.0 but if it will make things better, I can wait. I do have a few questions... When will GS2 start? When will PVP rewards be distributed? When will life day start and what will it consist of? Will R4 release on Feb 15th also? Hopefully the FAQ will cover these questions? Enjoy your holiday break.
  8. I think items that are temporary or consumable and offer a perk or buff would really make good credit sinks to remove credits from the economy. One idea I had would be a special vendor on fleet that sold various power ups and temporary perks. Examples would be a power-up that increased speeder speed to 150% for 30 seconds and a power up that doubled the rocket boost duration. These could sell for 25K and be consumed after 1 use. An example of a temporary perk would be a shuttle beacon you could place and activate from the game map, It would work like quick travel, but take you to a spot you picked. Sell it for 50K for a short term use or 1mil+ to add an unlocked travel hub to you map permanently. I don't know if any of these are possible, but consumable perks and buffs should make good credit sinks.
  9. When you upgrade a piece of gear, you trade the gear piece, gear frags, a mat, and credits for the upgraded piece. This seems to be how you progress through the conquest tier. FPs and OPs are supposed to give you gear piece drops up to 3 times per week and the gear piece should upgrade your lowest piece. So hopefully running a MM FP would replace one of my 326 conquest pieces with a 326 blue piece (better stat allocation). This is what I want to try next if I can find a group to run a MM FP. I'm not sure the 326 blue FP piece can be further upgraded, but then you would need to trade this piece, frags, mat from FP drop, and credits for the upgraded piece. If you want to go the FP route only, you would start with 318 gear and your first drop would be a 320 piece, which then could be upgraded to the cap with the FP mat, frags, etc. I've read that you can wear any of the gear so I think you should be able to get a FP or OPs gear drop based on the lowest piece you have equipped. In this case the FP or OPs drop would replace the conquest piece. In this way, the more difficult content gives you better gear, but getting the green gear first could reduce the grind at the more difficult levels - hopefully.
  10. I had a similar experience as the OP. (Below copied from another thread I posted in) I played quite a bit on the PTS over the weekend. By transferring 5 level 75 characters from live to PTS, boosting them to level 80, and running them each through the conquest weekly (150% SH bonus), I was able to obtain a set of the iLvl 326 conquest gear in around 4 hours playtime. This won't happen on live because each character would need to be leveled to 80 then run through the conquest weekly competing with other players. But I don't suspect too bad of a grind for solo players (if you have the 150% SH bonus). From here I can try FPs and OPs to upgrade the greens from conquest to blues and perhaps gain additional Item levels. Might be quicker than grinding through FPs and OPs upgrading each piece from 318 > 320 > .... > 326. Don't get rid of your augmented 306 gear. Because this is optimized for level 75 content it will still be useful for down leveled content (at least it was this past weekend) until you can get the new gear. Note: This all still could change before 7.0, this is how it worked this past weekend on PTS.

  12. Would it be possible to add a character's creation date to the character sheet in a future update?
  13. On Fleet there is a vendor that sells a White Acute Module for 0 credits. This will stop the double XP gain. On the Republic side the vendor is named Hathe'k <Ancient Creature> on the outer ring south west corner.
  14. Just a wild guess, but to rule out the obvious: You said your parses were on MM Bosses. Was this MM DUXN or MM Objective Meridian? If not, your parsing while level locked to 70 with capped stats.
  15. It appears at 0, 0 on Korriban also. Just about the main entrance to Ajunta Pall's tomb.
