  1. ^^THIS^^. BW claims to be listening to the users, and the feedback. But even though the feedback supports removing the limits for subscribers, they chose to leave the caps in place anyway. Why say you are listening to us, but then ignore (and even delete our posts leaving feedback... which left me feeling like our $29.99/month for two accounts was invalidated, and my feedback doesn't matter. End result: I canceled both of our accounts. Because, you know, they don't matter, either.). I love the game. I miss playing it. And we would have given it a chance after playing it on PTS. I came on here today to see if BW had a change of heart, and I could resub. I'm pretty sad to find that isn't the case.
  2. While I agree that Logan didn't respond nicely, I'd like to point out that it's a virtual currency. They only lose money when another exodus occurs. They can't add it to a savings account, or spend it on a trip to Italy.
  3. Absolutely makes better sense than enslaving us subs to a 50 Planetary comms cap, and then offering sucky rewards and (yay?) PLANETARY COMMS (which are pointless once we reach the comms cap). I second this, but want to add that once you hit the cap, rewards automatically switch off planetary comms and switch on Cartel Points until Tuesday reset.
  4. Sandbox features? A bucket A shovel Some water
  5. Yeah, if anything, I've been watching the landscape models disappear while riding. Could be increased lag, due to too many people online. Wait until they merge all servers...
  6. I'm not sure if you've played on any of the wonderful NA servers lately, but the lag is fantabulous. Many days, I run in place for several minutes at 5885ms, with a little red 'x' next to the latency meter. Before the server consolidation? 32ms latency. Oh, and I live in NA. EA is killing the game with all of the server consolidations. Might just be time to move-on to a game that actually cares about gameplay, instead of $$.
  7. Oh, and the lightsabers still drawn while riding mounts? Still broken from PTS...
  8. I completely sympathize. As someone who plays on the NA servers, I'm finding myself less inclined to play anymore, because the populations in all areas are so thick. Have to wait for mobs and items to respawn. But here's a little secret: 499,999. If membership numbers fall below that, the game gets scrubbed. Speak with your wallet.
  9. Maybe I'm having a recovery from a bad memory wipe, but it seems to me that other MMO's that have some sort of barber/etc, you pay with the global monetary. e.g World of Warcraft, you spend silver/gold at the barbershop. This almost makes me want to sub again, just to quit again (I unsubbed this morning).
  10. The comms you receive on quests and as rewards from each planet are going to be renamed to Planetary Comms. You will be able to spend them on any planet you like, but there will be a cap of 50. The cap resets every Tuesday. Keep in mind, if you play for two days on one planet, you will likely hit the cap (many who are against this cap limit state they allegedly can reach cap in one day on one planet). You can use the comms to obtain two of the nicer items, but then will have to wait a week for reset to start earning more comms. Any Planetary comms above the 50 limit vanish into the ether, if chosen instead of item rewards. At the 50 comms cap, you will probably want to select the junk rewards for creds/resale.
  11. "the need to keep working on performance improvements and bugs." If you really want to do that, make the PTS permanent. It's the path that makes the most sense. I stepped back onto LIVE today, after a couple months of playing PTS, and it was an immense overload. Way too many players in the same area, none want to group, leaving everyone waiting for mobs to respawn. Tons of ninja looting... and that was the starting area on Tython! Imagine the game after 2.0 drops! There are several bonuses to having the PTS permanent (I'll cover two or three. I'm sure there are more floating around out there): Players like me, who want to solo and enjoy the game in relative silence, can play. The environment is always being tested. A patch drops, we test and report back to the PTS forum (trust me. You get a LOT of feedback there). The PTS has fewer trolls. Last I checked, 'Star Wars' universe has no trolls in lore. I'm not saying that the PTS not being permanent is why I have canceled my two subs. The expanded reasons include the draconian Planetary Comms cap (and no reason given why subs are being subjected to the cap), the various bugs and glitches, and the general feeling that concerns are being ignored (example: I posted today on the PTS forum, asking for someone to please address why the Planetary Comms cap is being enforced on even us subs. Ten minutes later, someone removed the post. Request not addressed, and dutifully ignored and removed. I'm accepting that as "We already got you to upgrade to ROTHC on two accounts, we don't need your $29.99/mo"). I can't post my 'State of the game' from this die-hard fan's view. My post would get removed.
  12. None. Just canceled both of my subs. Pretty disappointed in the Planetary comms cap, plus the lack of a permanent PTS (really, the game has so many ongoing issues, it should have a perma PTS) and bugs/glitches not being fixed. On the plus side, I'm sure BW will sell plenty of 'Expanded Planetary Comms' on the Cartel Market, once 2.0 drops...
  13. Yeah, this game was uniquely different and excelled at the personal story. On a side note, is there any way to properly assess if a game is going to be doomed to fail pre-launch? I'd like to avoid buying a CE for a game that eventually will fail (judging by the PTS and new changes to the way we play the game, I'll likely be canceling both of my subs). I understand that the game needs to evolve to keep drawing new players, and I hope the dev's understand that the changes they are proposing and/or have already been designed into 2.0 are going to drive away us diehard fans. Feel free to bite the hand that feeds you. Just don't expect it to be extended again.
  14. HA! Next time the PTS comes up, they'll still be trying to fix everything that's still broken. Not sure I want to play a game where they've gone from "This is all for you! We do this for YOU!" (the pre-launch stuff from Dr. Ray), and have mysteriously replaced that with "We don't care if you like it or not. It's how things will be. Go ahead, cancel your sub. You already paid us for the expansion". I don't think the game will survive another exodus.
  15. ^^this^^. Being stuck with only option to destroy items or let them fill our inventories is stupid.
