  1. This is still broken on my Inquisitor. I can't start Fallen Empire until it's fixed, so this is a game stopping bug.
  2. I've been a tanking Shadow since day one, but I've finally just given up on tanking with my Shadow in its current state. Incoming damage is just way too spikey. And since Shadow DPS is largely lackluster, I guess it's time to switch to my Gunslinger or finish leveling my Guardian. Or just taking another break from the game...
  3. She's relatively new on the server and under a different name. Why would he know?
  4. That's because you bumped a thread from before 2.0 and all the trees changed.
  5. The ability to save multiple pre-set specs and hotbar ability layouts.
  6. Datacrons and social level are the two things I don't understand why they aren't legacy wide.
  7. Yes, there are games out there that you can forfeit your name if you've been unsubbed for a long time. World of Warcraft is one, heard of it? City of Heroes had the best policy when it came to name precedence. If you were not a paying customer and hadn't logged in for X amount of time AND the character was under a certain level, another player could use that name. Everyone knew how long and what level so people who really wanted to save that name could level that character over the threshold if they knew they wouldn't be able to play for a long time but wanted to come back.
  8. Take a good look at the new long hair and compare it to the Togruta already in the game. They're more closely related than you may thing. Only difference is the head-tails come down a bit more in the front. Not an insurmountable thing to fix, if you ask me.
  9. Because it was 'overpowered as hell' when WoW Rogues got shadowstep, when they also have stealth and sprint? That's silly, especially with a much longer cooldown on the teleport than a standard leap. But I really only suggested it because it keeps the teleport theme, not because I think it's especially needed. You'll note I also made an alternate suggestion of adding some kind of ranged attack with a moderate cooldown instead. Hell, you know that would be awesome? Make Force in Balance a baseline skill and replace the talent with something to really improve Balance. Of course, that'll never happen. As for 'getting creative' with the garbage we got, the 2 minute limit before the field disappears kills the skill completely. It requires not only precognition in knowing where to put it (not *too* bad) but also when to put it, which is stupid. Triggering the 45 second cooldown when the field disappears even when you don't use the teleport makes it beyond stupid. There's a reason why the exact same skill is on Warlocks in WoW, a ranged class, instead of a melee class. And that version is also far superior, with a separate skill for placing the circle (with *no* cooldown) and using the teleport (this has the cooldown, as it should be). Oh, and the circle lasts 6 minutes. Phase Walk is just a joke, and a poor one.
  10. It wasn't so much a 'this is what we need' suggestion as a 'this would be much more useful' suggestion while keeping the same teleport theme.
  11. No, as long as it has a 1.5 second cast to lay down the field and the cooldown triggers even if you're out of range when you try to use it or if it expires without use (including if you die before triggering the teleport) then it's just a toy with very marginal use, with most of that use due to the extra healing with the tank talent. Heck, remove the teleport aspect entirely and just make it an instant cast heal field and it would be much more useful than it currently is.
  12. Every other class got a useful skill while Shadows/Assassins got a mostly useless toy. Sure, it might come in handy about 1% of the time but if it mysteriously disappeared in some patch I can't say I'd really care much. Can anyone say that about the other new skills? What would have been far more handy would have been a 30m range teleport *TO* a target or some kind of 30m ranged attack on say a 30 second cooldown. Either of those would be used far more. I won't hold my breath on any kind of improvement to Phase Walk though, so off it stays with the rarely used abilities.
  13. Phase Walk is terrible. It's nigh useless. What would have been useful to all specs would have been a 30m range Shadow Step, which teleports you directly behind the target. Give it a 45 second cooldown. The Shadow Shelter buff can just apply for 10 or 15 seconds to any ally within 5m of the teleport.
  14. Now I didn't like the game in general, but one of the things that Guild Wars 2 did right was there's no such thing as kill stealing. Everyone who attacks a mob gets credit for killing it, so there was no reason to not help people kill stuff. It made open world much more cooperative rather than competitive.
  15. When you destroy an objective, your lightsaber is put into a state where it looks like it's drawn but it's not actually drawn. That's why it stays 'on' when you mount and why you have to press Z twice to sheath it (once to draw it for real, the second to sheath it again).
