  1. I mean, I was just progressing the new flashpoint and enjoying the content, but if such a thing as lockout provided by Bioware happend I have no words. Can we have an admin respond to this please? How can this be even remotely considered a fair progression race for a newly released boss for other guilds? Most of the hardcore raiders spend hours wiping on Tyth before they even can get the taste of Nahut and I don't even want to mention the Aviela and Esne so this is most definitely considered cheating in my book. /rant
  2. WTS sorc healer, just 20 mil, a bit used, all gear min-maxed, pm me ingame. /s These numbers indicate complete loss of player population, if some classes were deemed underpowered and there was a shift of players to play different classes, wouldn't there be some increased numbers? If we assume that all reports is the population and for example sentinel players make up 9% of the population, then after the nerfs and reduced all reports the sentinel players make up again 9%. By this theory I can conclude (I am lazy and just assume here because I dont want to count all the portions) that we are just missing lots of data to make any statistical judgement based on starparse.
  3. yes and yes, generally the more classes with self cleanse the better, because even tho each healer can potentionaly take 2 death marks, there is much randomness happening that might prevent a healer set to cleanse certain person just not being able to do it in the time required, either because they are busy flying around to Narnia or being stuck in a rock, out of range or just line of sighted by whatever. That being said, you can afford few melee as long as they are not stupid and position themselves to not fly away the wrong way and not eating all the red circles. literally its as "fun" as during 2.0 times
  4. Due to healing mechanics, any crit above 40% is wasted regardless of soft cap. So that is your first goal, after you have 40% crit, it's more or less only up to you if you want to slot alacrity or power. Having some alacrity is always nice, personally I run all alacrity on my right side slots and power on left side slots. Thats 9 alacrity + 5 power augs. Honestly if you are learning the class, having too much alacrity might be pointless anyway because you might not be able to keep up with globals so just get the gear from vendor as-is, fine tune your crit and then find the sweet spot that is ideal for you by adding alacrity just enough so it feels "right". have fun
  5. You can blame the system/game only partially. In the end group content is controlled by players to significant degree and can be fixed only by the players. What op and others are asking is ... "hey let me join your group, I want to learn and you are obliged to teach me, and no I bring absolutely no benefit to you or your group, thank you." So my answer is that you have two options here: 1) Find a guild of people willing to invest their time into you, they will most probably expect your dedication to their group since literally only thing a group gains from teaching someone is potentional guildie who helps them in long run. 2) Stop asking others to invest THEIR time into you, instead go out of YOUR way, go study mechanics and lead your own group of similiarly experienced players. Doesn't sound fun? Then don't be selfish and stop crying...
  6. What you mentioned is called messing around if you do it on purpose, if not its called being a retard. It is actually cool thing to do and nice learning experience that teaches you something about how the game works and what can you expect if you do something stupid, maybe even find a new way how to skip that trash pack etc etc... But again we are talking pug runs here, you just dont do that **** in a pug run and waste everyones time just because you want to try something stupid and see if it works the way you expect it to work... Do that with one or two friends, mess around in a fp and push random trash around and see what happens. The whole issue comes down to simple fact of "not wasting time of others". Learn mechanics, do what you are supposed to do, point out mistakes of others, sure, the pug will go smoother, but everything else doesnt belong to a pug, it belongs either to progression guild or a group of friends having fun.
  7. There is enough resources online for whole game that anyone with bit of brain can do the research themselves. The "true elites" are just people who dont hesitate to invest their own time and thought process thinking about how to improve, how mechanics works, how to make boss fights smoother, etc etc, they just do it by themselves because they kinda like the game. Now if we are speaking pug runs, one just need to read a rotation guide, gather some derp crystals for noob gear and go practice on a dummy... then it takes literally 1 minute to read a boss guide and know what you are supposed to do. What you are proposing is nice but entirely pointless because those who want to be taught will just do so by themselves and you can't teach those who don't give a ****.
  8. NGE raider with shameless video link: The mines are not an issue at all, to certain degree, problem is the carpet bombing wich is somewhat overtuned, literally one-shotting or eating 90% hp of most classes which in combination with mine exploding or you getting rooted for 1 second by Blaster is huge pain in *** Enjoy the cancer if your group is trying to kill it.
  9. For Healers in first phase (before Bestia starts running around) you want to be around 7k-8k, ideally both healers around 7.5k but doesnt happen often and one healer is 1k ahead, depends on group composition and your tactic but thats numbers we are running atm. For Bestia phase till end of fight its 6k-7k. (all numbers are effective [ehps]) As I am not dps, all I can do is provide numbers from parse few days ago: top dps: 6.1k lowest dps: 5.1k total dps (including tanks): 25k Best of luck
  10. I couldnt possibly be of Kanre's perspective, ever, the guy doesn't know how streaming/recording works, let alone be able to upload to youtube Also he plays only guardian so if you have watched shadow perspective it could have been only colley, which seems to be lost Edit: derp I am slow
  11. I just cant understand how nerfing a healing companion makes things slower for anyone, they were not doing much/any damage at all so the speed of content depends entirely on your part? There seem to be something out there that I am completely missing because I am just rolling my eyes at everyone complaining about increased time to clear heroics.
  12. Please, bring back the old hook requirement for those decorations, it was so amazing to put multiple of those droids as defenders of our guild ship on the bridge, now they can go only to centerpieces and thats really limited use. That wont hurt anyone now, would it... well... maybe only the intruders of a stronghold defended by them ofc!
  13. For anyone who wants to solo Star Fortress as any class with a healing companion theres the trick that will make you do it: 1) kill weaker enemies first 2) DONT STAND STILL 3) KITE THE ENEMIES 4) LOS THEM 5) KEEP MOVING DAMMIT There you have it, simple Take the alliance buffs if you want easier time
  14. So I have put the claims here to the test and ran Star Fortress Hard Mode on my 3 geared characters... Setup: Companion set to healing stance Zero Alliance buffs Zero Alliance abilities No Heroic Moment Can use Advanced Anodyne Versatile Stim Can use Advanced Anodyne Medpac Can use Class buff ability Results: Sage (and any ranged class I assume) -> no issue, just have to kite Juggernaut (and most of melee?) -> not much issues either, leaping back at companion to gain distance for a while is huge help, then just need to follow golden rule of combat and killing the easiest enemies first. Scoundrel -> no issues at all, just same as always, get distance if dying All my chars are in 216 / 220 gear So from my test cases the only nerf seems to be the fact you cant stand still and pick your nose as you kill enemies anymore, have to actually move and think about what you are doing... And again, did all of the runs without any help outside of what my class allows, with Alliance buffs and Heroic Moment the whole thing would be pretty much same as before, more or less.
  15. General rule in Star Fortress heroics is kiting, as dps, your companion usually cant keep you healed up unless you are kiting. If you are tanking, it might be possible to just face the boss but I didnt try it personally. Second rule is that companion who is healing does a lot of threat and if you cant, as dps, pull enough numbers to have more treat than your companion, boss will just wipe the floor with you. So either learn how to play your class better, get better gear, whatever to do more dps so your companion doesnt get killed, or go into tank spec and taunt the boss when they swap to your companion. Alternatively you can use the burst damage from heroic moment to overaggro your companion, just dont use all heroic abilities at same time, use them one by one everytime aggro changes.
