  1. Let's examine this claim for a second. Let's say a raid boss needs 100k dps applied to it to be defeated so you have dps #1 who is doing 95k dps, dps #2 is doing 4k, dps #3 (etc) is doing 1k so great, you've met the dps requirement and have defeated the boss. Since all that matters is that the dps check is met as per your statement, all is fine and dandy with this scenario; or is it? Only ranked pvp matters though, got it.
  2. Cool I just resubbed to the game, spent a ******** of time grinding out tactician set for my OP and now I see it's butchered because it was too high burst in PvP, an activity which I do not participate in. Glad I subbed and wasted so much time lol, welp back to WoW!
  3. Thanks all for the responses. To be clear it was the scaling down of MM FPs that was the issue. I did a 75 dummy and was parsing 21-22k which seems much more reasonable to me.
  4. oh i guess that makes sense, i've only been back playing a couple days, didn't realize the scaling was also in master mode FPs. guess that answers it then, ty! do you know where i can find the dummies people use to parse on?
  5. It literally has nothing to do with practice though. His max lacerate for example is 38k, where mine crits for around 22k. How is this possible? I have all 286 augs and my amps are rolled such that i have ~8% dmg boost out of the 9.4% possible. There's simply no way.
  6. Top concealment op on parsely is recorded at 25093.07 DPS on the 6.5m hp dummy. How is this even remotely possible? I parse like 11kish on MM bosses as 306 ilvl, 6 piece tactician set, acid lash tactical, acc cap, 7.35 alac. I'm not perfect of course, but there's no amount of fine tuning my gear or my rotation that would allow me to do 2.5x more dps, so I can only surmise that I must be misunderstanding something. Any info?
  7. I'm similar but different. I get bored typically at max level on a class, then start over and repeat the process with every other class. This is why I have max levels of every single class in WoW, Everquest, SWTOR, GW2, ESO, FFXIV and others. I think I just enjoy the journey and playing different classes more than I do sitting at max level farming for 1% gear upgrades indefinitely.
  8. Ah there it is; the typical cutscene watcher attitude I expect. If you don't care about my time, why would I care about yours? I'd 100% vote yes to kick for that attitude, and that'd be just too bad.
  9. I disagree and chose the words carefully as I find them perfectly applicable. Now you're wading into some strange passive-aggressive waters here with the rest of your post. Cutscenes may be nice the first few times through, but after hundreds of times? Not so much. I don't queue into flashpoints because I'm dying to see the cutscenes again. I don't entirely disagree with you about skipping mobs and bosses, but the map designs allow for it and so it is bound to be used. I'll reiterate that I don't think people should be kicked for viewing cutscenes, but that they have options to do so without wasting other peoples' time and should perhaps exercise those options lest they face possible ridicule or worse by their teammates. Wonder how many hours of my time and command boosts have been wasted by broken spacebars? Hm.
  10. Er, they're the kings of DPS, but yes they're made of paper.
  11. People are probably going to be more receptive of your problem and likely to assist you with it if you behave as though you're at least double digits in age.
  12. They shouldn't have kicked you, but you should always spacebar in a pug group IMO, and it's rude not to, since you can do the story mode flashpoints solo at any time and you won't be wasting anyone's time or feeling pressured to rush. So, in my opinion, both you and your teammates were in the wrong, but you are more easily forgiven as a new player. Just my 2c
  13. A lot of 70s needing carries in this thread I see. I can basically solo the vet fps without heals on any 230+ ilvl. Why would I need a bunch of 70s with me? I'll gladly queue with anyone of any level as long as they are patient enough to let me heal after each pull. Simple solution is to hide the levels of the players in the queue pop. Then the cowards can choose to leave group once inside and take their 15 minute lockout.
  14. The one thing I'd remembered about swtor after 4 or 5 years of not playing was ravage. Was sad to come back and see it in its current form. It hits like a wet noodle, just not fun or interesting anymore really. They could find a way to keep it from being a rooted channel but still maintaining its former glory I'm sure.
