  1. I agree. After LotRO I can't stand the reputation system. Do all the bs grinding for a particular faction for what...? A different looking mount, gear that is substandard? No thank you. I'll be cancelling my sub now.
  2. The armstech, armormech, and Synthweaving are the crafts that I commonly hear in chat that are rather useless and lacking of real game functionality. Players generally want a Return on Investment before anyone will recognize the 3 crafts are crew skill worth having. Only TWO things are needed for this, BioWare. 1. Update the recipes by making them more competitive with the blues, oranges and purple gear. 2. Put a DANG price cap on crafting materials...PLEASE. Really............? Posting 1k -10k for a ONE piece of crafting material is ridiculous.
  3. I personally cannot stand the idea of Cathar. I feel that some developer listened to their 8 year old daughter when they instituted this race. As a side line race, they are fine...but they are not SW. 1.Wookiee, 2.Droid, 3.Mon Calamari, 4.Jawa, 5.Rodian, 6.Sullustan, 7.Trandoshan, 8.Quarren, 9.Duros, 10.Nogrhi
  4. 1) NO!!! 2) A traditional SW species would be far more accepted, as Cathar are more BW than SW. 3) I'd rather see Wookie, Trandoshan, Rodian, any traditional race 4) Do you feel Cathar are too Republic aligned to fit well as a section for the Empire? 5) Do you feel Cathar like most already implemented species resemble humans to greatly? Absolutely 6) Addition Pro/Cons towards or against Cathar? Race is fine as a side line character, but Cathar is more BW than SW. I prefer SW traditional races....why? Because they're SW, not BW
  5. Thank you. I see this idea in game chat and forums often enough to know there are very many players really very interested in this idea. Player housing will create 2 things (at least). 1. Creates a time sink for friends just to hang out and design the interior of their homes. 2. Bring new and old players back to the game.
  6. I totally agree. One of my first impressions of the game when I played Beta was, "Ok, there's trooper. Where is the Empire's soldier, the backbone of their military?" Bounty Hunters are not even remotely a feasible idea to form an army within Star Wars. They would cost the Empire too much, and they would never listen to orders, and there would be no group cohesion needed to accomplish a goal. Emp. soldier definitely makes sense.
  7. Yeah, Jorgan would definitely be number one on my hit list. But to provoke a player's emotion takes some writing skill, so the writers actually did a great job. But I still hate Jorgan. Although this is a pretty favorable idea, it would create a huge amount of work for the developers. In essence, they would have to write in various other characters into a game that already costs a ridiculous amount of money to create. If they add this idea into the game, the cost would grow to another million or more... SWTOR definitely worked themselves into a corner when they created a fully voiced MMO and then fired a ton of people after launch.
  8. Since F2P, there has been a growing problem with ninja looters. In group and solo. Roi from Ebon Hawk joined a World Boss ops team 3/4 of the way through the fight, and at the end, he selected NEED on all of the purple loot drops. Roi walked away with all of the purple items because there's nothing to stop him. Leaving the rest of us that fought the WB for 30+ minutes angry, frustrated, and hate filled. This is a problem. Apparently this is a larger problem that I know, as I read through the forums there are too many complaints about this. MY SUGGESTION: 1. When in groups, allow only the players that can use that drop to roll on that drop. IE: A trooper can only roll on heavy armor drops. IE: A Smuggler can only roll on drops that include blaster pistols and medium armor. 2. If a player is fighting near or on a node, let that player claim that node as he fights. That way, some creep can't come up and ninja that item you're fighting for.
  9. Love it. I, and others, suggested the same thing. It's good to see others...many others, feel the same way. My last suggestion on this was to create another planet just for us players to build cities on. That way Emps can raid Reps and vice versa. Reps and Emps can have bases and cities... Or.... Have a Republic moon and an Empire moon where each population can land on the others' moon and have space battles in between.
  10. I totally agree with the OP, and....well...the others too. All good ideas. In fact, when I first played this game in Beta, I thought, "Really? That's all there is for the Empire's home planet...? A single city? Where's the towns? Where's the environment? Dromun Kaas boils down to ONE CITY?" And no, I do not consider the tiny bit of land that's hemmed in by mountains with little tiny trails leading you by the nose to each mission point...any environment. Dromund Kaas, and other planets are much to small in content. Really? You want to add another planet? Try adding content to the planets that are already there....too.
  11. Well I guess Roi aptly named his toon then, since he's the master ninja. I'm surprised at how tolerant people are about rotten s.o.b's like Roi. Well, I warned you all. So once this guy rips you off....MWAHAHAHA. And because nobody cares....you think Roi was bad? Just wait til I group with ya....fricken' WoW f2pers...
  12. Darth, You've been very kind concerning the faults with this game. The game would be far better if they hired a full team to run it and design expacs for it. It certainly needs some help. I could list at least 10 things that are wrong with the game, but I'm sure 1.7 million other players did it for me. And ya know what...? NOBODY at BW-EA cares. The team doesn't care...THAT is a game killer right there, not to mention all the other junk wrong with the game. I came back for 2 reasons: 1. I really missed Star Wars environment and story. 2. The full voiced MMO is still a game changer for me. I tried GW2 but came back to TOR. BUT sadly, as we all know, once EA gets involved in a game...the game takes a nose dive in ratings and subs. It's too bad, this could have been a good game if it wasn't for EA calling the shots.
  13. I don't usually bother with world bosses because I never get a dang thing to loot. Now, Im closer to understanding WHY that it. An Ops team gathered to battle the WB on Taris. At first, there were 6 of us, and then more showed up about half way through. This Roi guy shows up about 3/4 of the way through, and after the WB is taken down, he NEEDED on all the purple loot drops. Yep, Roi robbed 11 others of a chance to get a reward for their hard fought win against a boss. I don't know about you all, but I put Roi on ignore right away. I would never want to take the chance to have Roi in a group ever again. I hope that those that read this and understand the awful creep factor in this will also ignore Roi from Ebon Hawk. Do YOU want to take the chance to be robbed blind by Roi? Or do you want to take this chance to NEVER be robbed by this guy?
  14. I run Win7 and will continue to do so after the debacle that it Win8, I don't trust this company any longer. But thank you, I'll ttry that.
