  1. Byss would be nice as said. Dathomir is ideal for the setting. Rodia would be tons of fun for pvp and bounty hunters- maybe set up an arena type area or series of areas. Also. I've really always wanted to visit Ryloth for the day/night transition areas and it wouldn't be a bad planet for pvp, and Sullust would be great visually and appeal to everyone who liked Mustafar. It looked nice in Rogue Squadron. I'm not sure why Yavin IV wasn't included. I guess because it's far too much like Dromund Kaas. We need a social planet where everyone of both factions can congregate. Yeah, it would be strange not having Sith and Jedi at each-others throats, but maybe there's some way to make combat within the major hubs boundaries illegal and enforced by elites, or have pvp zones in alleys and the like, but restricted in cantinas, public squares, night clubs, etc.
  2. I'm fine with the no color restrictions. However, just a heads up. My offhand on my Light I-II Sentinel is red, and has been since launch.
  3. Did it at 28 with this strat. The 'puddles' are real and they hurt. When you're taking too much heat, take a few steps back. This is really the best advice you can get. I followed it almost to the letter and when things got hasty I just wailed on him with slash and Kira was still up. He dropped a green Primal lightsaber for the effort. Force stasis is a must and if you have to kite, don't leave leaping strike range, because you never know when Kira will crit and you'll have a choice between dying to his spit attack or just jumping in and hitting twice to finish it. Call on the Force by no means makes this fight cake, but it's very doable with it (nigh impossible without it) at same and adjunct higher levels, unlike Valis. I completed it on my third try ( got caught up and forgot to pop CotF until very late during the second try and even then he was at a fraction when I went down, and I could have got him with a cycle: that was with Kira tanking for a bit) at level 28, with a Watchman specialized Sentinel, as well as some basics from the 2nd and 3rd trees: Kira had been only hit with AOE. Up to this point, Lieutenant Markovic, Valis, and the Sand Demon have been the problem children. Praven was fine for me given I was 1-2 levels higher than him. I agree it really breaks immersion when you do the Shock Drum line and you're too weak to do it in sequence when Tatooine is about to be destroyed. Thankfully, I did the entirety of Tatooine minus the Heroics, which will get you to 27-28, 29-30 easily if you do Heroics: before I even fought Valis. Wasn't taking any chances with him, but that's another thread altogether.
  4. "I'll try SPINNING. THAT's a cool Trick!" Why oh why did they take out "Fear is my ally...." in favor of lines like that. This is my RE to the Phantom Menance. From American Psycho. "My pain is constant and acute now, only there is no catharsis; I no longer wish for a better world for anyone, rather I wish to inflict my pain, in all it's savagery, on others. My story is over, and there is no greater moral or wisdom and, no knowledge gained from the telling. This confession, has meant, nothing." It's like Labyrinth of Evil. Palpatine was clearly causing Anakin's sleep deprivation and dreams of Padme's death. Dialogue between Palpatine and Anakin about that alone would be great. Eventually Anakin would reconcile himself with Palpatine's nature on an horribly unbalanced equation with frustration with Yoda basically telling him "Let her die." At some point Yoda would eventually say "What I really mean is someone's messing with your head so don't worry about it." In Yoda talk. If I have any gripe with the dialogue in Revenge, it's that so much is left implied to an irrational climax of emotions after the death of Windu, that would make no sense if we didn't know how messed up Anakin was really getting. Go for the obvious, George!
  5. I honestly stopped reading in the middle of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Just didn't mesh for me, for exactly the reasons the OP stated. I agree with the OP in that thread entirely. However, for about ten years straight, the EU had a tremendous run of things- I can think of dozens of screenplays based on the Tales from series alone. Just maybe a Kel'dorr or Gand, has to re-piece his criminal or enslaved lifestyle through the discovery of a holocron that invigorates long dormant force sensitive abilities, and is given a choice between freedom through the Sith code, or finding mentor-ship in Mara and Luke etc. Most fans could go on and on. I've written fan fiction along the vein of Shadows which is what they're aiming for in the TV show, which is a great idea. Timothy Zahn and others have had immense success, and it's not as difficult to recreate that particular success or Bioware's KOTOR or the Jedi Knight/Rogue Squadron series into a screenplay.
  6. Exactly. It's not that his ideas can't fly. It's that when it comes time to building them, he chooses rock to build them. All he has to do is have one of the book series adapted, or just not surround himself with yes-men. Does anyone remember the scarred, terrifyingly hard mercenary Gungan from Force Unleashed 1? In all seriousness, if they replaced that character's CG and voice acting with the exact same Jar Jar lines, and maybe threw in Darth Maul's original dialogue and cleaned up Yoda and Jabba's CG and de-cheesed the Nemoidians (not hard to do), he'd have a diamond compared to what's coming in 3d. If the books and shows and games have taught us anything it's that it's almost impossible to anger your fans when you know exactly what they're after.
  7. Most certainly was not a throwaway line and I don't think your giving it to much thought. Big bird from the hand of the film-maker George, to the president George. Also Lucas is a Buddhist and most of them believe that nothing is inherently good or bad on it's face value. Obi-wan was just probably saying that Anakin in particular, as a former Jedi, a person who had so much responsibility and power, shouldn't fall into that mentality. He even falls into passion himself at the end, exclaiming to Anakin 'Chancellor Palpatine is evil!'
  8. Because it's a dilapidated overgrown swamp. Loved the Nexus, loved using my cc on the Rakghouls. Still couldn't wait to get to Nar Shadaa because it's been hyped so much in the EU. I think it's kind of the point of the story-line that no-one wants to be on what Taris has become for too long. Loved the Watcher One storyline. A well-rounded character. Liked that the ship from KOTOR was still there, and the remnants of the old city were explorable. I might go back and finish the Heroics, although I wouldn't get much substance out of them now.
  9. Strange. Balmorra for Imperial Agent was good times for me. Operative levels a lot smoother than Sentinel IMO. Tatooine is just too much DPS without a healer of any kind.
  10. Yes, I agree. My main is a Jedi Knight, and Valis (Kira's Imperial brother) is nigh impossible immediately after completing Nar Shadaa, as a Sentinel, you need a 3 level curve to have any chance at stopping him. So I went to Tatooine, expecting to get into questing. I love the planet and the details, especially the 'Is Feature!' Jawa, just not much to do quest wise. First quest with Czerka mercenary is a joke to solo at level 23, even tried bringing in a Guardian around the same level and still failed, as is the Twin Suns Slavemaster to a lesser degree (I'm now a couple bars from 25, which should be enough) Managed to beat the Assassins with the help of a Trooper that happened to be there, but the warehouse it leads you to isn't feasible, but the Docking Bay 21 is a good exp room, as is the warehouse. Tatooine crashed my mains progress completely, but I've been having plenty of fun with the Imperial Agent storyline for my resulting alt up to 21. I think they expect you to beat Valis and then continue with main story; things that are easier on Tatooine like all the other planets before you do the optional quests. Two factors that might change this are getting better gear (especially a double bladed light-saber) for Kira, and leveling to 25, which I can easily grind or get through space missions or Heroics. Tatooine is not a level 24 and up solo planet for a Sentinel. And all of this is creating a 4k per repair credit sink that's preventing me from having funds readily available for a speeder, when I do grind to 25.
