  1. It wouldn't kill YOU to lose 50 cent. For BioWare to pay 50 cent to several thousand, or tens or hundreds of thousands of subcribers (however many there are) isn't so small a chunk of change. Frankly, I'd rather each of us suffer the 50 cent loss than cost BW revenue that would no doubt be used to keep the game going and/or improve it.
  2. Bro...you've got problems that far exceed videogame server downtimes. You'd best get a handle on that while you still can...
  3. I feel for you, but your specific play schedule doesn't really factor in to how much time you've lost ACCESS to the game. If you can/choose to only play 4 days, it's still available to you the entire rest of the month, barring today. Therefore, your day's loss is still worth about 50 cents.
  4. Hm. Now this has me thinking that maybe I should hold off...it's not as if I'm having any problems with the physical key, I just thought that once it inevitably goes dead I'd be stuck unable to play for however long it takes to a) get another physical key or b) enable the digital one on my phone. If the process is pretty simple to switch over to a digital key though, maybe I'll just wait. Thanks for the input, everyone.
  5. Question: I've got a physical security key, the one from the CE, and I'd like to add the digital key from the app to the account as well. If this isn't possible I'd like to replace the physical key with the digital one, as I've had it for a while and I'm concerned it'll become an issue if my key battery dies or gets lost and it'll be a big headache to get around the issue. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and, if so, how to go about doing it? Thanks
  6. Actually now that I'm thinking about it I guess it doesn't really matter...I'll probably just do the current dailies I have alongside some of the planetary heroics, that'll probably be way more dailies than I'm willing to do in a day anyways, lol. Thanks again.
  7. Yeah, I noticed that when doing heroics through Taris. I stopped doing anything but class quests after that (and still hit 70 right as I entered Alderaan, lol.) You responded before I could edit that post so just in case you didn't see this question - are the Belsavis Bonus Series heroics still a thing?
  8. Right, I noticed that after a certain point I stopped getting gear I could use and started getting these lockboxes I couldn't even open since I haven't started the new content yet, lol. Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it. Have fun out there and take care! On, one last thing before I let you go - the Belsavis Bonus Series heroics, are those still a thing? Before I waste my time running Belsavis' story questline?
  9. Well that's useful, thanks. I thought all the high levels were doing that just for the command xp...looks like I need to start doing some lowbie planet hoppin'.
  10. Oh, seriously? No kidding/trolling? Okay...Hm, I wonder why that decision was made. Thanks.
  11. I appear to be missing something.. I just finished all the Ilum quests, save the Flashpoint at the end, and the dailies aren't unlocking. I don't recall having to do the FP to unlock the dailies for Ilum, but it's been ages since I've run them so maybe I did. Is that what I'm missing? or is there something else? P.S. I don't know if this matters or not but I did miss one quest all the way at the back of the tunnel the second base is in (this is Rep side btw) and had to go back and do it post-finishing the planetary story quests, I'm hoping that hasn't bugged the dailies or something since the quest I missed does become a repeatable daily.
  12. Personally I wasn't all that worried about players dropping out, since more often than not it's voluntary. If it were to be addressed though, you could simply have the next player from the team with more players find themselves "on the bench" again after respawning, unable to rejoin until the numbers balanced out again. So yeah, momentarily you'd have an imbalance until someone died, but that can't really be helped. As far as how often it's an issue I can't really say. I'd imagine it varies depending on server and server population. I do know that when it *does* happen, it's pretty annoying and greatly imbalances gameplay.
  13. Here's a thought, after getting whooped by a full team when our team started the match with only 5 players, and never made it past 7 players. How about having excess players from teams that have their opponents outnumbered sit 'on the bench', as it were? If Team A has 7 players and Team B only has 5, 2 of Team A's players would be unable to enter the fight until Team B acquires more players. In order to prevent any players from having to sit on the bench the entire match and not playing at all, players could rotate so that when one player dies they become the "benched" player, allowing the previously benched teammate to come into the game. I don't know the technical/programming difficulties implementing such a system would present, but it seems to me a more fair way of evening out warzones, especially on servers where the Imp/Rep population is imbalanced (which seems to be all of the servers as far as I can tell.) Thanks for reading.
  14. Lots of things were said multiple times yesterday, many of them completely incorrect. I thought it would be safe to assume that a quote from a Community mod could be trusted over any other bits of advice that were floating around yesterday. I mistakenly figured that a reply that came straight from the source would be the most accurate reply. It's still there in the Dev Tracker thread at the top of the second page. After getting the above quoted reply I didn't bother checking back into the forums to see if I had been misinformed by a community mod later, I guess that's my fault... Ah, well. I've been teetering on finding a new MMO for a while now, I'll probably just use this as my excuse. Thanks for the replies.
  15. Appreciate the reply, but that isn't what I'm referring to. I DL'd the patch you're talking about, got in game, noticed a few things were off, and tried logging out and back in to fix the things wrong. It was then that the 12 gb Main Assets 1 began to download. As noted in the above quote, I was assure by the community manager that I wouldn't need to follow through with re-downloading the entire game, so I opted to wait for the small patch today as I was then, and still am now, unwilling to redownload the entire game. But today that doesn't seem to be the case. If I could get some clarification from a community mod, as well as whether or not a "fix" is in the works that doesn't involve re-DL'ing the entire game, it would be appreciated.
